Lauren

The Beginning It all began on the 2009 Palmetto Baptist Church  Mission Trip to Ithaca, New York. Stuck on the bus for two days,  Chad and Lauren got to know one another playing cards with Amy Lee and Chad's brother, Ian. By the time they stopped at Niagara Falls everyone already knew that they would end up together. The week flew by as they worked during the day and play cards together at night. Finally on the ride home as they were falling asleep Lauren reached over and grabbed Chad's hand. Phone calls and text messages informed anyone and everyone of what was going on. Then just before they stopped for lunch Chad asked if Lauren would go on a date with him. Obviously, she said yes and the rest is history! ad , she said yes and the rest is history,,   The Proposal It was Lauren’s birthday and so Chad told her that they were going ice skating because Lauren had loved it so much the year before. Lauren was a little confused when Chad said that he was going to pick Lauren up after lunch because she thought that they would spend the whole day together, but she was so excited that she didn't really care. Lauren tried to ruin Chad’s surprise throughout the day. Unbeknownst to Lauren, Chad had the engagement ring hidden in his jacket. First, Lauren reached into Chad's jacket pocket when she got into the car to get his phone. Then when they got to the restaurant, Lauren got cold and asked to wear Chad’s jacket, but luckily he had already taken out the ring. When they arrived at the ice skating rink, they found out that there was an anime convention in town and everyone was dressed up. Chad kept stopping on the side of the skating rink and acting funny and finally Lauren got tired and asked if they could leave. Chad tried to take Lauren to the Aquarium or the World of Coke, but she had already been to both so they walked through the Water Gardens on their way to the car. Lauren stopped to sit on one of the rocks and the next thing she remembers Chad was down on one knee. He told Lauren that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her and asked if she would marry him. Of course, Lauren said yes! Then when Chad slipped the engagement ring on Lauren’s finger it was way too big. So they rushed to the jewelers because Chad said that they were either going to resize it right then or Chad were going to get a new one so that Lauren could wear it home. They got there an hour before they closed and after thirty minutes Lauren had a beautiful ring that fit perfectly.
