  We hired Laura to do photography for our wedding last summer, and we could not have asked for a better experience.
  
  We did an engagement shoot, and also had photography throughout our wedding and day-after brunch. Throughout the entire process, Laura and company were highly friendly, attentive, responsive, and accommodating to last-minute changes. The photos turned out amazing - we both agreed that they were the best wedding photos that we've ever seen. We're no photography experts, but it doesn't take training to see that Laura and co. have an uncanny knack for capturing the natural energy of events in their best light.
  
  Overall, amazing experience, great photos, would highly recommend.

  I am so glad we went with Laura Marchbanks! She and her assistant were absolutely amazing at our wedding. They were so helpful, professional, and really made the experience so great. I just received our pictures and WOW, they are absolutely amazing. They are everything we wanted and more. Thank you!

  Laura is the perfect photographer. She feels like a friend, acts like a professional, and takes pictures like a pro (she did go to college for it afterall!). She was a little pricey for us but we're so glad we chose her; she's definitely worth the splurge.   Laura and Barbie were fantastic to work with! We love ALL of our photos and their candor. Laura is a very fun and creative person who clearly takes pride in what she does, anyone would be lucky to have her as their photographer!!!

  I could not be happier about how our wedding photos turned out. They are perfect! A great mix of formal, fun, casual, artistic and architectural photos of our downtown Portland wedding. Laura did an amazing job capturing our day. We had a huge family and wedding party and she was able to really help organize and place every person so that all the formal and bridal photos turned out great. Our bridal party photos are exactly what I envisioned....she really nailed it! I would definitely recommend Laura to shoot your special day, she will not disappoint.

  We are so happy we were referred to Laura and that she was available to photograph our wedding. After meeting with her the first time I knew she could do the job. She not only did the job, but so much more! The entire process went very smoothly, she was organized and made everything easy on us. She is fun, happy, professional and has perfected the wedding photographer job:)

  Laura is amazing! We live in Illinois, but wanted to get married near Seattle because it is such a special place for the two of us. Laura made time to meet with us in-person during her maternity leave, since it was the only time we were able to get out to Seattle before the wedding. She is so warm and caring, and made us feel as though we were her only clients...even from across the country! She was always available to answer questions, and she helped us create a thoughtful list of "must-have" family portraits so that on the big day, we didn't forget. We had a small wedding (around 35 people made the trek from the midwest to join us) and every single one of our guests has told us how warm, welcoming, and wonderful Laura was. She made the time to learn about us and really understand the vibe we wanted to create for our wedding and reception, and she was an essential part of making our day totally amazing. Working with her on our album was fun, too - she put the story of our wedding together in the most beautiful way. We are already talking about "throwing the party again" for our 10th anniversary, and we hope Laura will be a part of that day, too! - Lisa & Ben

  She made my reserved fiance feel as comfortable as he could while posing and smiling. And she even got lots of photos with both his eyes open ( a task he deemed impossible!) ;)
  She more than exceeded our expectations- very professional, flexible and her work is beautiful.

  My wife and I were married on August 6th, 2011. We used Laura Marchbanks Photography and couldn't have been happier with our decision.
  
  Laura met with us at our home and showed us past sessions (wedding and otherwise) to give us a sense of her style. It matched with ours perfectly. She is the perfect balance between classic and modern... incorporating current trends, traditional (timeless) poses, and candid/real moments. She got it all… and told the story of our wedding beautifully, using film, light, and timing.
  
  To offer a bit context as to our style…. We’re younger (mid 20s, early 30s), cosmopolitan professionals with a flair for things that are a little ‘different.’ We love food and wine… and consider the PNW the perfect place to live. We hit the trails for outdoor adventures, but clean up regularly for fine dining and wine events. We decorate our home in the ‘Restoration Hardware’ style, but hunt in antique stores to keep things personal. If that’s you, then you’ll love Laura’s style.
  
  An added bonus was Laura’s knowledge of weddings in general (flow, timing, etc). It felt like we had another wedding planner with us through the entire process… only it was our photographer. Simply amazing service.
  
  I can’t recommend Laura enough… she helped make our special day one of a kind.

  We love Laura's work and asked our photographer if she would be open to her being the second shooter for our wedding! I can not rave enough about how seamlessly they worked together! They not only took incredible pictures, but they made the whole experience fun and made us feel like rock stars!! Laura's personality and style is the perfect combination!

I had very high standards for our wedding photographer (being in the wedding industry myself) and had a ton of shots that I “had to get.” Laura not only met my expectations she absolutely exceeded them! She was the best vendor we had at our wedding and I cannot say enough great things about her or give her enough complements for what a great job she did. She put so much time and effort into our wedding I felt like I was her only client (and she had a packed schedule!) We met up a couple of times before the wedding and she even texted me multiple times to see if there was anything she could help with in the wedding planning process! She got a feel for exactly what I had in mind for our wedding day and the pictures I wanted to capture and she delivered on the big day, plus more. We had so many great photos to choose from it was hard to narrow down my favorites to frame! Laura had a video slideshow of our pictures on the day of the wedding so our guests could see our pictures and also had a sneak peak of the shots posted on her blog within 24 hours of the wedding, which I was dying to see! I can’t imagine waiting weeks or months to see your photos!
  
  In her profile she talked about becoming fast friends with her clients and during the entire months leading up to the wedding and after our wedding she delivered on that promise. I would HIGHLY recommend Laura Marchbanks to any brides looking for a creative, compassionate, professional photographer whom they can trust to capture their big day

  My husband and I were so happy with the pictures! Working with Laura was a fabulous experience. I think her passion for capturing our moments really came across in the work. She was talented, professional, and so much fun to work with!! I would absolutely recommend her to any other bride. We will have these pictures to look back on for the rest of our lives together!

  My husband and I were so happy with the pictures! Working with Laura was a fabulous experience. I think her passion for capturing our moments really came across in the work. She was talented, professional, and so much fun to work with!! I would absolutely recommend her to any other bride. We will have these pictures to look back on for the rest of our lives together!

  Laura was beyond amazing for our engagement shoot - she helped keep me and the future husband gorgeous the entire day. She helped coordinate locations, clothing, hair, & makeup for me. She was really nice, friendly, and funny and even came to our house to take shots of our puppy with us. I can't wait to use her again for all my future life events!
