Also worth noting: our wedding was not a simple, tightly choreographed event. It was whimsical, disco dinosaur-themed, deeply DIY, and a little unhinged in all the best ways. Sarah didn't just handle it—she got it. She leaned into the weirdness with joy and ease, and made everything feel natural, even when we were sweaty, overwhelmed, or crying through our vows. She was the kind of person you want around you on a big, emotional day: calm, kind, thoughtful, and endlessly prepared.

And the photos? They're stunning. Absolutely stunning. We got our gallery back way faster than expected (bless her) and were full-on weeping scrolling through it. We had the honor of having Sarah Jane as both our officiant and photographer for our elopement. When we began our search for a photographer, I knew that it was really important for me to choose someone who could caputure warmth and playfulness through a keen eye for lighting and attention to detail. My husband's priority was choosing someone who would capture our special memory in a documentary style. Sarah Jane hit all the boxes for us, and we fell in love with her work at first sight. Prior to finding her, we had actually been in discussions with one other photographer, but after our consultation call with Sarah Jane, the decision was a no-brainer for us. While the other photographers shots were very beautiful, I noticed my husband, who is quite shy, coming out of his shell during our call. I knew immediately that Sarah Jane was going to be an incredible fit for us.

Over the months leading up to our wedding, her and I became really wonderful friends, sharing picnics and stories, and she was an invaluable resource to us for navigating the process of getting married. She helped us understand each step of the way, and completely eliminated the stress of looking for an officiant, as she was able to marry us! Having her as our officiant was a really fun and special aspect of our elopement for us, not only because it was unique to have our photographer in this role, but also because of the absolute sunshine she brought to our special day because of it. She can seriously do anything.

Flash forward to the day of our ceremony, waking up well before the sun to make our sunrise elopement possible, she brought the most beautiful energy. I have her smiling face and teary eyes burned forever in the back of my brain as a core memory of the moments leading up to my first look with my husband when she told me I looked beautiful. Her deep sincerity and the way she loves others fiercely is the magic behind all of her photos. She makes her clients feel truly comfortable, and in doing so, she leaves room for the heart and soul of the relationship to surface, and captures its most precious and intimate emotions.

We are so so in love with the photos and memories made with her on this incredibly special morning for us. There is no shortage of wonderful things I have to say about this incredible woman and her talent for both her craft, and capturing each unique relationship dynamic of such a wide variety of individuals. Sarah Jane is brilliant! She captured our wedding day so perfectly and we are blown away by how gorgeous the photos look. She was extremely responsive and on top of everything leading up to the wedding, making sure we were on top of our todo lists and helping us create the perfect timeline for the day. I don’t usually write reviews but I know how overwhelming it is to try to find the perfect photographer for an important occasion such as a wedding so I’m here to say you have found your person! From the moment we met over FaceTime, I knew we could trust Sarah Jane. She was somehow everywhere at once throughout our wedding, capturing moments we missed while also helping a groomsmens with his ripped pants, making sure we were drinking water/eating, corralling the people to where they needed to be and so much more. She really gives 110% to her clients and we are so so grateful for her! Thank you, Sarah Jane!

Sarah Jane makes you feel like your best friend is your photographer. She was very responsive to communication throughout the planning process. I don’t love meeting new people, so I was nervous about spending hours with someone I just met. Sarah Jane immediately put me at ease with her bubbly personality. She was able to make suggestions that I hadn’t even thought of and made sure I had an amazing day. We did a very small quick ceremony in Bellingham and then moved out to Artist Point. She had very creative photo ideas for our ceremony location, which I love. Out in the mountains, we had the best time. My husband was nervous about taking photos. Again, Sarah Jane put him right at ease and made sure she posed us to get amazing photos of our day. We had so much fun and we ended up with a stunning album. Our friends and family couldn’t say enough good things about how magical our wedding photos turned out. We received our sneak peak album and our full album so quickly even though it is her busy season. I would a million times over recommend Sarah Jane and I’m already trying to plot another trip from the midwest to Washington some day so we can do it over again!

If I could give Sarah more than five stars, I absolutely would. We hired her to photograph our elopement, and she ended up being so much more than our photographer — she officiated our ceremony, helped with all the little logistics, and genuinely felt like a friend who happened to be there capturing our day.

We were coming from out of state, and Sarah went so far above and beyond for us. She picked up my bouquet before we even arrived, helped us navigate all the little details, and somehow made everything feel completely effortless. She was calm when we needed calm, fun when we needed fun, and was there for us every step of the way.

And then there are the photos. Absolutely incredible. We were speechless. She captured the big moments, but also all the little in-between moments and emotions that we didn't even realize were happening. Looking through our gallery feels like getting to relive the entire day.

What makes Sarah truly special, though, is how she makes you feel. We never felt like clients or like we were just another couple on her calendar. We felt genuinely cared for, celebrated, and completely comfortable being ourselves.

Our elopement was one of the most meaningful days of our lives, and having Sarah there made it even more special. We truly could not have asked for a better person to be part of our day. We are SO happy we found her and would recommend her without hesitation.

I kind of don't know how to write this review without crying? We love Sarah Jane so much!!

From the start, Sarah Jane has been an absolute pillar - knowledgeable, fun, organized. And of course - her talent! Her stunning portfolio is what drew me in, and her deep industry knowledge truly sets her apart from a standard wedding photographer.

We did our engagement photos and our wedding photos with Sarah Jane, and even though we thought we'd be awkward in front of a camera, the photos look like romantic candids from a movie! She is a real leader here and I felt completely at ease and taken care of whenever she was directing us for the engagement shoot.

She is extremely professional and always keeps shoots on track, and she is incredible at telling you what to do with your body and making it look natural, and most of all FUN! She had my fiance (now husband!) and I cracking up, and our joy comes through in the photos.

She is a wedding veteran and knows every tip and trick in the book - not just photography-related, but she was happy to give advice on so many parts of the event when I needed recommendations or was struggling. Her recs were worth their weight in gold!

Our wedding was medieval-fantasy themed, and she MADE HER OWN COSTUME to be in theme!! She was our biggest cheerleader and was absolutely game for it all. Our event had a live falcon flying the rings down the aisle, and she came in a day early to scope out the practice flights to get the best shots. She also captured so many special small moments that I would have forgotten, like my new husband and I grabbing a nip of scotch after signing the marriage license!

Without question, Sarah Jane was the backbone of this event and I can't even thank her enough. If you're lucky enough to have the opportunity to hire her, do not miss this chance!!

Sarah Jane is AMAZING. My now husband and I hired her to capture our small wedding / elopement style ceremony and would chose her over and over again if we could. In the months leading up to the day, Sarah Jane was very good about periodically checking in on us and helping us plan our ceremony day timeline. The day of our ceremony was a rainy one, and Sarah Jane came prepared with photo-ready clear umbrellas for both us and our 12 guests. She made the day a breeze as she helped to wrangle family members into places, all while capturing the moments of the day. I am in love with the photos she took and have had several comments from family and friends that they look a cover from a movie. We are so lucky to have had Sarah Jane documenting our elopement. She is so warm, kind, and fun to be with. We were nervous before we met her, but she made it easy to be ourselves, and we trusted her right off the bat. We are two camera-shy people, but her direction made the time together feel joyful, playful, spontaneous, and above all, special. Sarah Jane did our photography for both our ceremony and reception party, which were on two separate days. Planning with her was AMAZING. Not only was she responsive, but she spent time talking to us, telling us about the process and what to expect, what we were envisioning, and had everything laid out in a planning document. She was so buttoned up and reassuring of everything. Not to mention, she came totally prepared, not just for herself, but for last minute things for the wedding party in case we needed it.

Let’s not forget, her pictures are AMAZING!!! The quality and her ability to capture all the emotions is 10/10. I feel so grateful to have found her and chosen her as our photographer. She also works well with vendors, is friendly with not just us, but everyone at the party, and is overall a great person and best hype woman ever.
