If you're reading this, chances are you're in the thick of wedding planning, trying to figure out who you can actually trust to photograph one of the most chaotic, beautiful, and unforgettable days of your life. Let us save you the trouble: Yes. You can stop looking. Sarah Jane is that good.
One of the things we appreciated most about working with Sarah Jane is how clearly she cares. Not just about taking beautiful photos (though she absolutely does), but about getting to know the people in front of the camera. When we first connected, she asked thoughtful questions about the big day—not just about our timeline or photo preferences, but about our relationship, values, and what we wanted to feel when we looked back on the day. And that care, thoughtfulness, humor, and intention showed up in every part of the process: in the prep, on the day, and even in the follow-up. Her presence, humor, and intention made everything smoother, more meaningful, and honestly just more fun. You don't just get a photographer with Sarah Jane—you get someone who's fully in it with you.
On the day of, she was exactly the kind of energy we needed (especially as two chronically late people): she was chill but confident, unobtrusive but somehow everywhere at once. She blended in like a guest, but also had this quiet command that helped keep things moving and made us feel like we were in the best hands (because we were).
Also worth noting: our wedding was not a simple, tightly choreographed event. It was whimsical, disco dinosaur-themed, deeply DIY, and a little unhinged in all the best ways. Sarah didn't just handle it—she got it. She leaned into the weirdness with joy and ease, and made everything feel natural, even when we were sweaty, overwhelmed, or crying through our vows. She was the kind of person you want around you on a big, emotional day: calm, kind, thoughtful, and endlessly prepared.
And the photos? They're stunning. Absolutely stunning. We got our gallery back way faster than expected (bless her) and were full-on weeping scrolling through it. Every time we look through them (which is often), we're right back in it—the laughter, the tears, the chaos, the tiny moments that flew by too fast to notice. Sarah Jane caught all of it. And don’t even get me started on the golden hour portraits. Straight-up editorial. I almost didn’t recognize us—in the best way.
Sarah Jane didn't just take pictures of the event—she documented the feeling of the day. Every frame has so much love, movement, and honesty. They're not just pictures—they're a love letter to that day and everything it meant.
So, if you're considering working with her: do it. Truly. You will not regret it. You'll get gorgeous photos, yes—but more than that, you'll get to work with someone who brings care, creativity, and fun to every step of the process. We can't imagine our wedding day without her. -

I kind of don't know how to write this review without crying? We love Sarah Jane so much!!
From the start, Sarah Jane has been an absolute pillar - knowledgeable, fun, organized. And of course - her talent! Her stunning portfolio is what drew me in, and her deep industry knowledge truly sets her apart from a standard wedding photographer.
We did our engagement photos and our wedding photos with Sarah Jane, and even though we thought we'd be awkward in front of a camera, the photos look like romantic candids from a movie! She is a real leader here and I felt completely at ease and taken care of whenever she was directing us for the engagement shoot.
She is extremely professional and always keeps shoots on track, and she is incredible at telling you what to do with your body and making it look natural, and most of all FUN! She had my fiance (now husband!) and I cracking up, and our joy comes through in the photos.
She is a wedding veteran and knows every tip and trick in the book - not just photography-related, but she was happy to give advice on so many parts of the event when I needed recommendations or was struggling. Her recs were worth their weight in gold!
Our wedding was medieval-fantasy themed, and she MADE HER OWN COSTUME to be in theme!! She was our biggest cheerleader and was absolutely game for it all. Our event had a live falcon flying the rings down the aisle, and she came in a day early to scope out the practice flights to get the best shots. She also captured so many special small moments that I would have forgotten, like my new husband and I grabbing a nip of scotch after signing the marriage license!
Without question, Sarah Jane was the backbone of this event and I can't even thank her enough. If you're lucky enough to have the opportunity to hire her, do not miss this chance!!
I'm walking away from the most magical day of my life with not only the most gorgeous photos, but also a dear friend. -

The BEST Wedding / Elopement Photographer
Sarah Jane is AMAZING. My now husband and I hired her to capture our small wedding / elopement style ceremony and would chose her over and over again if we could. In the months leading up to the day, Sarah Jane was very good about periodically checking in on us and helping us plan our ceremony day timeline. The day of our ceremony was a rainy one, and Sarah Jane came prepared with photo-ready clear umbrellas for both us and our 12 guests. She made the day a breeze as she helped to wrangle family members into places, all while capturing the moments of the day. I am in love with the photos she took and have had several comments from family and friends that they look a cover from a movie. I highly recommend hiring Sarah Jane to capture your love story photography desires! -

Sarah Jane did our photography for both our ceremony and reception party, which were on two separate days. Planning with her was AMAZING. Not only was she responsive, but she spent time talking to us, telling us about the process and what to expect, what we were envisioning, and had everything laid out in a planning document. She was so buttoned up and reassuring of everything. Not to mention, she came totally prepared, not just for herself, but for last minute things for the wedding party in case we needed it.
Let’s not forget, her pictures are AMAZING!!! The quality and her ability to capture all the emotions is 10/10. I feel so grateful to have found her and chosen her as our photographer. She also works well with vendors, is friendly with not just us, but everyone at the party, and is overall a great person and best hype woman ever. If you haven’t booked her yet, I would suggest doing it, because she fills up her schedule fast! -

She’s a rockstar
Working with Sarah was truly one of the best decisions we made for our wedding.
From the very beginning, she gave us so much attention, care, and genuine dedication. On the day of the wedding, she went far beyond just taking photos she helped guide the flow, kept everything feeling calm and natural, and made the entire experience completely stress-free. We never felt rushed or overly posed; everything felt effortless and truly us.
And the results? Absolutely incredible.
Every photo tells a story. She captured not just how everything looked, but how it felt the emotions, the energy, and the little moments we didn’t even realize were happening. Looking through our gallery feels like reliving the entire day.
And as if that wasn’t enough, she surprised us with the sweetest package. It was such a thoughtful, personal touch that just shows how much she truly cares about her couples.

She’s the best!
This review is long overdue for Sarah Jane! You should absolutely book her for your wedding, elopement…honestly, for everything. She was incredible to work with and so accommodating, especially for someone like me who went back and forth and couldn’t quite figure out what I wanted. She was patient, thoughtful, and truly went above and beyond. She even helped us find someone to watch our dog during our elopement. Sarah Jane made the entire experience feel easy, fun, and special, and we couldn’t recommend her more. And of course the photos are beautiful and breathtaking! We would hike up steep mountains with her any day! -

If you are wondering if you should book with Sarah-Jane, the answer is ABSOLUTELY YES!
Sarah-Jane was absolutely everything we had hoped for in a photographer and more! From our first call with her, we could tell she would be an excellent choice because of her friendliness, willingness to crack a joke, and professional transparency.
During our engagement shoot, Sarah-Jane made us feel extremely comfortable and we had the best time together! Not only did she recommend the most stunning place, she worked quickly, and had great tips for posing naturally. For two people who have never really gotten their photos taken professionally, we were nervous, but instantly relaxed because of her awesome energy. Dinner afterwards was an added bonus! Delicious food and a fun moment that made us really feel like we all got to know each other and get comfortable.
Sarah-Jane’s planning guide was CLUTCH and helped us outline our day so well. On the day of the wedding, things felt easy, natural, and soooo fun! Despite some crazy wind, Sarah-Jane pulled off the most incredible photos and was super flexible with where we took them. Throughout the whole day, she checked in on us constantly, took excellent care of us, and even came prepared with pepto and fans for when the bride got a bit too hot. All night long we received compliments on her work, her attitude, and overall energy!
These photos are something we will cherish for the rest of our lives and we could not be more thrilled!!! Sarah-Jane is a true professional, friend, and beautiful human. We are so grateful for everything that she did to make our special day even more memorable. -

Above and beyond!
Sarah Jane was more than we could have asked for! Seriously, above and beyond her job description. Ahead of our wedding, she took the time to get to know us and even helped us determine a comfortable timeline for the day. On the day of the wedding, she was so prepared and stepped in wherever needed. She had toys for our dogs, clear umbrellas for us when it started to rain before our ceremony, and even helped us add much-needed florals to our cake to make it perfect for our cake cutting photos.
And the photos themselves! Neither my husband or I are naturals in front of them camera, but Sarah Jane made us feel so comfortable. The photos are gorgeous, and she captured such fun candids of our guests. AND we got our full album back less than a month after our wedding.
We cannot emphasize enough how much we recommend Sarah Jane! The absolute best! -

Sarah Jane is INCREDIBLE!! The photos turned out so beautifully, even beyond what we hoped. Sarah Jane is so much fun to work with. She is definitely someone you want to have around on your wedding day! She is extremely organized, responsive, calm, helpful, funny, and relaxed. We ended up extending her house so she could capture sunset photos, nighttime photos with lanterns, dancing photos, and our sparkler exit. Cannot thank Sarah Jane enough! After she photographed our friends' wedding, we got to talking about our own elopement. We joked about her joining us in Norway and she enthusiastically accepted. She was the most hype-girl photographer we could have ever asked for! Even though I was sick during our travels, Sarah Jane made me feel like I was the most beautiful bride!
She was super excited to join us overseas, and into to the adventure of finding a beautiful place to stay. Our elopement was in the Nordic winter, but she gave us confidence that regardless of what the weather brought we were going to have a beautiful wedding. We lucked out and caught a full day of golden hour sunshine and took full advantage of the fjords, mossy grounds, and "paid" seagulls flying behind our ceremony!
Her perpetual optimism and love for love only enhanced what was our perfect day. Norway was epic, but Sarah Jane made it even more so!! -

Where can I even start that justifies how amazing Sarah Jane is? I am not sure there's enough words. Sarah Jane is more than a photographer, she is your kindred spirit. She has your back. I should expect no less from someone who is as obsessed with dogs and Guardians of the Galaxy as I am. From the very first minute Sarah Jane was so helpful and communicative about getting the best pictures and looking out for us and our wedding party. We had a crazy windstorm during our wedding and took our first look and sunset pictures in the middle of it. There's not many people you would brave freezing in the cold with--unless they are your husband-to-be and Sarah Jane. Even in the freezing cold Sarah Jane knew I'd want the water views and I have mad respect for that. During our wedding she took care of us and made sure we were eating and drinking water. If your hair starts to get messy during the reception you can trust Sarah Jane to fix it. She also communicated and work flawlessly with our other vendors. Now stop reading my review and go book her! She is already completely full for some of 2025 and there is a reason she is booked and BUSY. -

One of the BEST wedding decisions my husband and I made was choosing Works by Sarah Jane Photography! I looked through so many different photographer's portfolios and immediately fell in love with Sarah's style and how she captures such warmth and light and life in her photos. My husband and I were both a little anxious about the photos and are both far from natural in front of the camera. Sarah had these perfect quick little tips to tell us how to pose without it feeling weird or unnatural or uncomfortable.
Pre-wedding, Sarah handled our cross country move, and possible venue and ceremony changes flawlessly! She offered so many suggestions that gave us so many options. She's so versatile and open to tackle any challenges. Her timeline appointment eased so much anxiety. We had a fairly tight timeline at the venue but the way she helped us organize the day allowed us to flow through the day so casually without feeling shuffled from one event to the next. We were so relaxed the whole day and had such a great time.
During the wedding Sarah had the best energy! She made the photos FUN and interacted with all of the guests so well. It was truly a pleasure to have her there (and she even jumped in to do a few line dances with us!) She had so much experience and knew all the best times to get the best shots without making us feel
Post wedding, we received sneak peek photos and immediately knew the rest of the album was going to be incredible. It's impossible to pick which ones are our favorites because we received so many that were just stunning.
I would highly recommend her to ANYONE who needed a wedding or elopement photographer! -

BEST DECISION WE MADE!
Sarah was absolutely my favorite vendor to work with. From our engagement photos at Mt Rainier to our wedding at Rein Fire Ranch, she was amazing.
We are awkward people in front of the camera and have zero clue how to pose. Sarah made it so easy and guided us the whole time. Not once did we feel awkward. She is also the sweetest and funniest person, so we were just all around always in a good mood around her. BONUS, she handled the rowdy groomsmen with such ease, lol!
On top of her amazing photography skills, she was so incredibly helpful in developing our timeline and keeping us on it. I was also impressed with how fast she always responded to my millions of questions.
All I can say is HIRE her. You won't regret it and you'll have the best photographer around :) -

I cannot say enough good things about Sarah Jane! She did such an AMAZING job capturing our wedding day. The pure talent she has is absolutely incredible. Our venue had a lot of forest and darker areas, but she made it look so bright and highlighted all the best areas in each photo, from the people to the nature around us.
Beyond just the photos she was able to capture, Sarah Jane is wonderful to work with. She helped us figure out our timeline, was always prompt with responding to any questions we had, and was very flexible and patient on the day of when our hair and makeup team was running late. Sarah Jane is also incredibly funny and made us feel comfortable with different poses, even with zero previous experience in front of a camera.
Lastly, Sarah Jane goes above and beyond just being a photographer. She helped bustle my wedding dress and had all the extra resources on hand for the day of (like Liquid IV) to ensure we were comfortable and everything went smoothly. I can’t recommend Sarah Jane enough! Anyone would be so lucky to have her capture their special day!

Do yourself a favor and book Sarah Jane!!! She goes above and BEYOND! We are in love with our photos!! In meetings before, she listened and took into account all of the aspects of the day that were important to us for her to capture and she delivered!! Where do I even START.
Sarah Jane is first of all the most welcoming, attentive, relatable human with one of the best senses of humor! (✨ Pelvic Sorcery ✨)
She came up with the timeline based on the time of our ceremony, which I gave to all of our vendors since it was so detailed and amazing.
She took charge and made sure we weren't running TOOOOO late to everything! And of course--the skies opened up and POURED on our wedding, but Sarah Jane is a true PNW citizen and just rolled with it.
My husband and I ended the night reminiscing on all our incredible vendors, and Sarah Jane was one that we are so blown away by. We feel like we have a friend forever! She also was true to everything on her website, she loved on my puppy baby so much! -

Sarah Jane was AMAZING from the very beginning! She offered a planning guide and vendor recommendations, and felt more like a photographer/coordinator. On the actual day, she wasn't phased by the rain and helped me come to terms with it haha. She had such fun ideas while we were doing bridal portraits, like getting in a canoe or on a Vespa! She was efficient and we had plenty of time before the ceremony to relax with our loved ones. She made sure we got photos with my 6 month old niece who was only awake for a very small window! She was patient while we herded our big extended families together for Christmas card photos lol. And she helped fix my bustle when my darling husband ripped one out after like 2 minutes of dancing. We adore how she captured not just us, but the natural beauty of the day as well! The handful of prints she sent with the full gallery are now hanging proudly in my classroom for all my students to enjoy. She also sent a key chain with our wedding date in roman numerals, to match the decor I purchased for the wedding, which is just so so thoughtful! I'm not sure if she's even aware, but I have a key chain from my husband and I's very first date, and now I have one to commemorate our wedding day as well! My heart is full! -

Choosing Sarah Jane as our photographer was the best and easiest decision we made while planning our wedding. Sarah Jane is an outstanding photographer. But, just as important, she is an incredible wedding photographer. Those aren’t the same. You can be great at taking photos without being great at capturing moments. Weddings are wonderful, joyous occasions. But they’re also stressful and sometimes awkward. There are the family members you don’t quite get along with and a thousand other hiccups that you worry will ruin the day. Having a photographer that can capture the joy while soothing the stress was a godsend.
From the moment we met Sarah Jane, we knew we were in good hands. Personally, we hadn't been to many weddings for other people, so we weren't sure what to expect from photographers or weddings, for that matter. Sarah Jane took the time to get to know us and our personalities and understand what we were looking for in our wedding photos. Sarah Jane was brilliant—she provided clear lines of communication and met with us on Zoom several times before the big day. She helped us establish a day-of wedding timeline, a shot list for our most important family group photos, and a set of important details we wanted to have photographed.
On the day of our wedding, Sarah Jane was an absolute delight and a calming presence. She arrived early and was ready to go. She was organized and detail-oriented, following the timeline of events that she had helped us create, and she came prepared with everything she needed, including a pen for us to sign our wedding documents. Plus, she was able to work with all personality types and bring out their best. Sarah Jane has a knack for putting people at ease even when they’re feeling a little nervous or stressed. She helped us set down any nagging worries and focus on what we loved about each other. She drew out silliness and giggles and love, and then she captured it. Looking back at our photos, it feels like we are transported back to our wedding day. Sarah Jane has a gift for capturing those little moments that can make a wedding so special—from the way my partner and I looked at each other during our first look and during the first dance, to the hugs and smiles during our ceremony, and the laughter during the reception toasts.
**Somehow, in addition to all of the skills I already mentioned, Sarah Jane also manages to be present yet unobtrusive, capturing special moments where we didn't even realize she was there. She was able to encapsulate our unique love story in a way that feels authentic and meaningful. She even added a small fern leaf when photographing our rings and the box they came in, as well as the bouquet, which had been hand-made by family and friends from sola flowers.
Sarah Jane truly makes wedding photography an art form. And it wasn't just us who were impressed—our family and friends have been in awe with our photos ever since we shared them. Sarah Jane has a wonderful creative eye for composition and lighting, noticing little details that can elevate a photo. Plus, she is incredibly adaptable and prepared to find creative solutions to any problems that may come up. For instance, we were hoping for ‘golden hour’ sunset photos, but a sudden cold front and clouds were forecasted on the day of the wedding. Despite this, she was able to use natural light and lanterns to create a dreamy, romantic effect. Part of this talent comes from her obvious love for what she does. This comes through in every photo she takes, and it's one of the reasons why her work is so exceptional.
Overall, we cannot recommend Sarah Jane highly enough. She is a shining gem of a person, and we feel so lucky to have had her as our wedding photographer. Sarah Jane is incredibly skilled at her craft with an eye for making people look their best, who can help you feel at ease in front of the camera, and who has a gift for capturing the emotion of your wedding day in a way that is truly special. We have so many beautiful images of our wedding day, our family, and our friends that we will cherish forever, and we know that we have Sarah Jane to thank for that.

Sarah Jane…where do I even begin? Photographs keep the day forever. They capture the special moments that you don’t always get to see or even remember (it’s a little overwhelming being a bride the day of her wedding!) SJ was the best decision my husband and I made.
I honestly get emotional as I think about how grateful I am. My mother in law had a debilitating stroke a year ago so I knew the wedding was going to be emotional. At one point my MIL made it all the way up a set of stairs to see me try on my gown. She had never gone up stairs before. As she was coming up I began to cry. She cried. Other family and friends cried. We embraced in the biggest hug ever. Sarah Jane caught every single moment. The tears. The facial expressions. The embrace. Everything.
Aside from Sarah Jane capturing amazing moments like this (including my husband crying as he saw me down the aisle) but she was FUN!! As part of our package we did an engagement shoot and chose a cute cabin at Mount Rainier. Sarah Jane scoped out the place and made it such an easy going and even giddy experience. We played records which got my husband and I dancing, and even did an impromptu photo shoot in the hot tub. She constantly did things to make us laugh and smile for the camera, and we ended up making an album of photos because they were all so “us.”
Thank you times a million to Sarah Jane. Photos are FOREVER. She is worth EVERY PENNY. ❤️❤️ -

Seriously…….just book her!
Oh my goodness where can I even start? Sarah Jane is just amazing for so many reasons it’s genuinely hard to pick just a few! Not only were both our wedding and engagement photos so beyond stunning, but working with her was an absolute treat. From the first call we had with her, to the planning process, and finally our wedding day she was so fantastic at communicating with us and making sure we felt supported. By the time we got to our big day it really felt like we just had one more friend who was there supporting us and loving us. She had us laughing the whole day and was there with everything we could have possibly needed (like a one of those personal fans to help you cool down or a crochet hook
to help do up those tiny buttons on your dress……..which is legit a stroke of genius btw).

There are not enough words to string together how wonderful Sarah was! She did our engagement and wedding photos and they were absolutely breathtaking. Sarah photographed our elopement at Mount Rainier in early August and it was such an amazing experience. She took the time early in the process to understand exactly the vibe we were going for, and was instrumental in picking out the most stunning places in the park for photos. She is the kindest soul and was also so great with our two kids. If I could give her ten stars, I would!
We live in Michigan and coordinated everything remotely. Sarah was so responsive and had a very structured plan laid out, which I hugely appreciated because we had never been to Mount Rainier before and had no idea what we were doing! Choosing Sarah Jane to do our engagement and wedding photos was definitely one of the best decisions we made for our wedding!
Besides her work being STUNNING (duh!) she has such an amazing eye for detail, great organizational skills and was so adaptable during our wedding day. During the home stretch of our wedding, Sarah Jane helped us make a timeline for our portraits, family photos, and bridal party photos that worked around our ceremony and through our reception as well as helped us plan our wedding send off!
It ended up raining on our wedding day, and Sarah Jane helped to capture the most amazing photos outside of our venue and even brought umbrellas that helped to elevate our photos and capture the true Seattle PNW vibes.

We cannot say enough positive things about Sarah Jane, she's an absolute gem!! After watching her magic at my friend's wedding a few years back I knew instantly that I'd need her shoot to my special day as well (one day)!
When my time finally came, Sarah Jane was the first vendor that we booked and afterwards everything else fell smoothly into place. Sarah Jane helped us plan a beautiful engagement shoot on Mount Baker while also taking time to help us scope out possible ceremony spots for the following year. She helped us develop a timeline for both our ceremony and our reception, and that was a HUGE lifesaver!! Then when our ceremony location had to change just two weeks before our big day due to the snow levels on Mount Baker, Sarah Jane quickly reworked our plans while still managing to incorporate everything that was important to us. She was phenomenal when it came to managing our large family in group/individual photos, completing many shots in a very short amount of time. Sarah Jane is the best. She was so helpful in planning the days events prior to the wedding and then helping orchestrate them the day of. She even remembered things I wanted to do and capture that I had forgotten about, what with all the commotion of the day. She arrived to the venue on time and ready to go. She’s super relaxed and works well with those uncomfortable in front of a camera (cough cough, my husband, cough) and was able to capture some great moments for us. Sarah Jane is the best ever!
Sarah Jane is the best ever! If we could add more stars to the review, we absolutely would! The photos we've gotten portray the beauty and emotions of the day exactly. From the happy tears, laughter, excitement, and how gorgeous the day was (perfect sunny day in April!), Sarah Jane captured it all! We couldn't ask for an easier photographer to work with. She spent the whole weekend traveling to make it to our venue, taking photos all day, and then driving back home... and she still got us a few sneak peek photos the next morning after the wedding, and a full sneak peek gallery the day after that! She has such a calm demeanor and can do attitude that made the wedding day seem so smooth. She helped coordinate random things with the venue, videographers, and other vendors so we didn't have to worry about a thing day of. She made us and everyone involved in the wedding feel comfortable. At this point working with a different photographer is unimaginable because Sarah Jane is such a gem and we love her so much! Besides all this, Sarah Jane is just such a wonderful person, and everyone we've talked to at our wedding thinks so as well. Also, of all the photographers we looked into at the beginning of wedding planning, Sarah Jane has by far the most transparent and easy website. Sarah Jane is incredible and she made our engagement photoshoot in Bellingham so magical! From the moment I reached out to her, I could tell that she was both invested in and excited about the photo shoot. She prepared my fiance and I both ahead of time and I love that she offered to help us coordinate outfits and colors as well as recommend some locations nearby for the photos. She also had a great guide she sent over to help us prep for our big photo day. She was also incredibly flexible with the finicky PNW weather and offered to reschedule our shoot to the following week because the weather was not cooperating. I really appreciated that and it ended up working out perfectly! During the shoot, everything was seamless AND more importantly, so much fun! She has a lovely personality and a disarming nature so that if you do feel awkward or shy about being on camera, she knows how to make you laugh and feel natural/comfortable. I've never had so much fun! I was sad when the shoot was over. And her photos are gorgeously stunning! I certainly am in love with her style and it aligned with the vibe I wanted for our PNW engagement. I can't stop looking at them. She's incredibly talented and had a really quick turnaround on getting our amazing photos back to us. We actually plan to work with Sarah again in the fall and were SO bummed she wasn't available to shoot our wedding in the summer. Best Photographe Ever
Having Sarah capture our wedding was the best decision we made that day besides marrying each other!
I discovered Sarah's work on Pinterest while planning our winter mini destination wedding. I was drooling over her photos when I realized OMGOSH she was in Washington where we were planning our wedding!
From the first time we connected till after our wedding, she was THE MOST responsive professional I've ever met!
We had planned a Christmas themed wedding in Leavenworth in December, including actual reindeer, and our ceremony 30 minutes away at Lake Wenatchee.
Leading up to the day of, she watched the weather just as intently as we did praying for snow in the driest December on record. She fielded my many panicked bride emails and was incredible at reassuring me the day would still be beautiful snow or not.
The day of was wild and she was the calming force that kept me from totally losing it. She's really, really good at that!
The reindeers peed and pooped all over my dress, my sister forgot the bouquets, and we arrived at the ceremony site to a literal windstorm that required taking shelter in the snowy forest for our ceremony. My hair and dress were completely blown apart and I was hangry (eat on your wedding day brides!).
Sarah literally saved the day keeping us laughing and coordinated and giving us such great direction it felt effortless to have our photos taken. No awkwardness in posing just pure fun!
The next day when we received our sneak peek (ya'll it was like 25 photos! I was expecting like 6!) We shrieked with joy!
You would never think from our photos that a single thing wasn't perfectly planned, even the windstorm!
Our photos exude passion and breathtaking depth of color. We are two people truly awkward at having our photo taken , but with Sarah's fun and clear instructions of what to do, it was effortless. She has a way of keeping you in the moment with your loved one feeling like the only two people in the world, while she's capturing stunning photographs. She truly created an environment of intimacy for us while making sure we'd have photographic proof of how powerful that intimacy felt.
I honestly don't know why anyone would look for another photographer as long as Sarah is in the business of taking photos. You seriously won't find better!

We were so incredibly lucky to have had Sarah as both our engagement and wedding photographer. She was so easy to work with and made us feel so comfortable and at ease throughout the entire process. In every way Sarah went above and beyond for us from making a detailed time line for us on the wedding day to checking in to make sure that I had enough food and water. She also got our photos back to us at an incredible speed and I am still not sure how she pulls it all off (perhaps the help of Dobby). Sarah Jane is AMAZING. From the moment she spent over a freaking hour on the phone with me just to talk about our vision for the wedding I knew she was the girl for me. More than we could have imagined
Sarah Jane is amazing and anyone who has the opportunity to work with her is incredibly lucky! We highly recommend her! We were fortunate enough to get to know her through our engagement photos, and then capture our wedding as well.
Planning a wedding can be challenging as it is, then add Covid and all the changes and challenges that come with it... all I can say is thank goodness for Sarah Jane. Not only is she an amazing photographer, she can do just about anything. She planned our timeline, she organized the other vendor arrival times, she added the florists flowers to our cake, she wrangled our crazy family and made sure everyone and everything was in the right place at the right time. She checked in several times prior to the wedding to see if we needed anything. She listened when we were “processing” all the changes in planning.
All of this AND she’s an awesome human. She’s super easy to talk to, funny, and passionate about her work and her clients. Our families too, can’t stop raving about “how amazing Sarah Jane is” and how we “couldn’t have picked a better photographer.” We couldn’t agree more.

More Than Worth It
The experience of having worked with Sarah starting all the way back in spring of 2019 for our engagement session, to having to navigate through the unknowns of Covid when weddings and elopements were a complete unknown to all--there is nothing but gratitude and appreciation for everything that she did while having to do so for so many others. Starting with Sarah setting up a time to want to meet with prospective couples after they inquire, she takes the time to get to know you on a more personal level, while also figuring out what you're looking for while working with her. In our case, there was also a Skype call not long after since my wife was unable to make the initial meeting. Both of these meetings, and all subsequent meetings were usually around an hour long, whether it was addressing any concerns, talking about wedding/engagement details, or just wanting to chat in general. Sarah's top priority was always about helping us out wherever it was needed.
As far as Sarah's work is concerned, we were sold immediately, and everyone else in our families were as well. The quality is some of the best that I've seen and had the privilege to participate in, with Sarah taking a multitude of factors in to produce some truly fantastic photos, all while having a professional but fun energy. Whether it was our engagement session or the day of our elopement, Sarah was willing to show us some of the photos immediately after taking them to give us an idea of how they turned out, rather than having us wait until she processed them. When it came time to process the photos either time, she was always able to provide a sneak-peak within a very reasonable time, and the finished gallery for us taking only a couple of weeks with plenty of communication providing detailed updates.
The price for Sarah rendering her services was definitely way more than fair given the high level of quality she puts into each of her photos, and in our case, she was willing to renegotiate the price since the original wedding plans weren't able to proceed as intended. Also, given the improvised nature of the elopement day, Sarah went above and beyond what was needed by traveling several hundred miles and between two hotels to make sure to capture the day as fantastically as she did. Also, providing a wonderful wedding gift when everything was all said and done. We couldn't have asked for a better experience over the last two years, or a better person to have captured our journey along the way than Sarah, and strongly recommend and encourage anyone looking for that wow factor to have her help you along yours. -

We LOVE Sarah Jane!
There are not enough words to adequately describe our experience with Sarah Jane. She delivered on every level above and beyond what she said she would throughout our entire wedding experience from engagement shoot, to another engagement shoot to make me feel better about postponing, and all the way through to the last minute she was with us at our reception.
Her energy and support for us as a couple made me feel like we were working with someone we had known for years. She is just as excited for your event as you are and has so many amazing ideas on how to capture the day.
All the tips and tricks she shares on her website and how to prep and prepare made us so much more relaxed on the actual wedding day. I was never worried there was a photo opportunity missed or that something wasn't going to happen. She was there for EVERYTHING.
Our wedding began to feel like a moving target as so many restrictions were shifting right before us, and she had checked in with me at one point and simply asked if I wanted to chat on the phone about details.
We spent over an hour talking about the timeline, talking out details, and really envisioning how the day will go under plan A, plan B, and plan C. I was crying happy tears when I got off the phone because she was so understanding and accommodating for what we were going through with COVID restrictions and trying to make a beautiful day happen.
She is worth every penny! Our wedding was a couple hour drive for her, she worked her butt off at the event, drove home, and took her dog to the emergency vet that night, and STILL got us an unreal sneak peek the next night. How she did all this, I will never know. She is the energizer bunny, she's beauty and she's grace, I will be using her for all photos in the future.
I could literally write about her all day long, but I need to go look at our gallery for the 19283923084 time. Can't get enough! -

Sarah was beyond amazing! We picked her after doing some research about photographers in Eastern Washington. Her portfolio spoke for itself, her pricing was reasonable and her packages included an engagement shoot and wedding photos. She was also able to travel to various locations.
After meeting Sarah and finishing our engagement shoot, we knew we had made the right choice. Sarah was so easy to work with and managed to get us comfortable in front of the camera (no easy feat). Our engagement photos were amazing!
Fast forward to planning during COVID and Sarah was very flexible, answered all my what-if questions and was ready to roll with the punches. During a very stressful time, Sarah was so kind and understanding and we appreciate it wholeheartedly.
We ended up changing our wedding date very last minute. Sarah was on-board and armed with all the COVID precautions she shot our wedding. The pictures turned out amazing, I cried when I saw them. She has an eye for capturing all the moments.

We planned on having a small wedding, 150 guests from the beginning. COVID 19 changed our plans several times and Sarah was incredibly helpful with that. We changed the date, the location, and the overall feel of the entire wedding while she just rolled with it and offered great suggestions along the way. She brought out the best in my husband, who doesn't like to be photographed, and captured sweet memories with our family and dogs! We were nervous going into the engagement session and weren't sure what to expect. Sarah was able to lighten the mood and made us feel comfortable in front of the camera with her fun personality, sense of humor, and guidance. From my first email and then Skype meeting with Sarah almost a year ago I was so excited for my wedding pictures. Her passion just oozes out of her and through her camera. She was able to put us at ease and really capture the relationship between my husband and I. Our engagement session was great, and the pictures turned out beautifully!
On the day of the wedding, seeing her with my shot list in hand put the OCD control freak in me at ease and rightfully so. We were running about 45 minutes behind because of me, but you would never know it by looking or talking to Sarah. She was in control and easy going all at the same time. We actually ended up finishing all the pictures I wanted half an hour early!

Sarah is a Boss Babe! In all seriousness she knows how to get things done and is a badass miracle worker when it comes to photographing your wedding day! We had 17 people in my bridal party, which included some rather distractible groomsman, but Sarah had them all lined up and facing her in the blink of an eye. We also had two antsy flower girls and one high-energy ring bearer, but Sarah was very good at being patient and helping them focus for the shots.
Sarah is very talented at figuring out beautiful backdrops, lighting, and poses. Our venue had so many scenic views and Sarah was great at capturing each one. The detail shots she took were gorgeous as well. As a bride you plan so many small details that tend to get lost on the wedding day, but with these photos I can look back and remember all of those precious elements. Sarah was also very helpful at keeping everyone on track and helped us stay ahead of schedule! Have no fear because she also boogied her way around the dance floor to get shots of our friends and family dancing, which I will cherish forever.
Sarah is very good at making people feel comfortable while also managing to wrangle that one groomsman who doesn’t stop cracking jokes. She was super responsive and great at communicating throughout the whole time leading up to our wedding. Her personality is hilarious and welcoming, which helps create a relaxing environment for everyone. Sarah’s passion for photography is evident in every shot she takes and she will go above and beyond your expectations. Seriously a gem through and through!

The Best Experience EVER
I found Sarah Jane on Instagram and followed her for a while before my wedding and knew I had to have her a photographer! Her personality is so bubbly and she is hilarious! She’ll make you feel so comfortable and beautiful in front of the camera. When I reached out for more information I got a response right away and was able to plan a Skype meeting. We had constant email/text conversations helping plan a shot list, day of timeline, and to just check in on how I’m doing. Sarah Jane is willing to go out of her way and work so hard for your engagement session and wedding to make sure you have all the photos and more than you could want but she also makes sure everything is running smoothly! She’ll check in with you on anything you need from food, water, and fresh air. We feel like we made a new best friend in Sarah Jane. I can’t say enough about how impressed my wife and I were with Sarah. I was amazed that we were able to hire someone of Sarah’s caliber for our wedding and still stay within our budget! She always responded immediately with any questions we had and kept in contact with us as our wedding day approached. The engagement shoot was so fun and relaxed, and we were blown away with how amazing our pictures turned out. Not to mention, she sent us a sneak peek gallery the next day, with the rest of the complete (and beautifully edited) gallery soon after! It was great to really get to know her and her process before the big day.
In the weeks leading up to the wedding, she provided us with a questionnaire that ended up making the wedding day so much smoother and easier. She really thinks of everything, so you don’t have to!
My wife and I both have big, rambunctious families, but they were no match for Sarah! On wedding day, we were running behind schedule (I assume this is standard for most weddings), but Sarah was able to get us through family pictures in the half the time we anticipated! We even had time for first look pictures! At our reception, she also made sure we made time for “Golden Hour” pictures. It was so nice to step away for a bit with my new bride spend some time as the sun was setting. The pictures from Golden Hour were incredible, and hands down my favorite pictures from our wedding day.
When my wife and I woke up the day after the wedding, Sarah had already sent us sneak peaks! And within a couple weeks of our wedding, we got the entire gallery, as well as a personalized gift in the mail!
Sarah truly has a passion for photography. She takes pride in the pictures she takes, skillfully edits to create visually stunning galleries, and shares them with you as soon as possible. Her artistic style captured our “rustic elegance” theme flawlessly and transformed us into wedding catalog models. She was so incredibly easy to work with, and her pictures left us speechless.

Everything You Want in a Wedding Photographer!
If you are looking for a wedding photographer to capture your big day, look no further! Sarah is the whole package: insanely talented, responsive, flexible and just fun to be around! My husband and I both feel awkward having our photo taken but Sarah made us feel totally comfortable and we both felt it showed in our photos. Lindsey Sent on 07/21/2018I'm so glad I went with Sarah as my wedding photographer. She was helpful from the get-go by video chatting with me months before the big day. Leading up to my wedding, communicating with her was fantastic, prompt and easy. She is professional and enthusiastic about the couples she photographs, but remains relaxed and supportive the whole way through.
On wedding day, she helped my husband and I almost in the way a coordinator would have, as far as letting us know when we needed to be where for certain photo-ops. Her time management was great and she went above and beyond by helping out with little details throughout the day. She gave really good direction from behind the camera and told us how to get into simple poses that came out looking great and very natural. She threw out creative ideas and after gauging our comfort level, got us up in a tree for some of the most beautiful wedding photos I've ever seen. She seems to really excel at nature-inspired, outdoor weddings (though I'm confident she would do a great job in any setting). Her pricing is very fair, and she does as great of a job as photographers who charge 4x more.
Her photo turnover after the wedding was very fast. We got a handful of "sneak peak" photos the next day and had a huge full gallery within two weeks. She even sent an adorably packaged gift box with high quality prints in the mail.
I highly recommend Sarah as a wedding photographer. I would book her again, no doubt, for other photography opportunities if and when they arise. Thank you Sarah!! -

My husband and I weren’t sure if we really wanted a photographer because we were trying to keep things low key and Sarah surpassed all of our expectations and she totally blended in and made us feel totally comfortable and at ease!
