  The ladies at A Stitch Above the Rest are amazing! I wanted to overhaul my dress and they didn't bat an eye at my requests. When I came back for my first fitting my dress was exactly as I envisioned it and wanted it! Thank you!!

  I had to bring in two bridesmaid dresses at once to have very different alterations done. One dress was missing beadwork and the ladies at A Stitch Above the Rest were able to move beads around to create uniformity on the front of my dress where the beads had previously been missing. It looked like the dress was made that way! The women at the Wedding Shoppe had talked me into getting a dress that was 2 sizes too big for me and was so disappointed at how the dress fit when it finally arrived. Without questioning, the women at A Stitch Above the Rest began pinning away and assured me the dress would fit perfectly. A ton of alterations were necessary for this particular dress, but I could not have been more pleased with the results! The dress fit better than any other dress I had ever worn before and I received numerous compliments. Their work is exceptional and their attention to detail is no different. I would highly recommend this business for any alteration needs, and will definitely be using them for all my dress alterations moving forward! My sister's wedding dress was also altered here and looked like it was custom made for her because it fit so beautifully. Looking forward to dropping off my next bridesmaid dress in a few weeks!

  Sharon and Bridgett at A Stitch Above the Rest do such amazing work! They are very flexible and so kind! I looked so amazing thanks to them--I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for alterations in the Twin Cities!

  Bridgett and Sharon were absolutely charming to work with! I'd had a few hiccups in the dress process and was a bit nervous about how much it had to be taken in. But both ladies took care to ensure that the experience was perfectly smooth and simple. My dress fit perfectly and felt fantastic, with no thought of stress along the way!

  I was so nervous picking out a tailor for my wedding dress!! I could not have been happier with the gals at a Stitch Above the Rest. They were so sweet and helpful. It was not a cheap process but you pay for what you get and I had a lot of alterations to be done and some bead work that had to be done by hand. I think I spent $350 or so. I wouldn't have done a thing differently. They also did my husband's pants for a very reasonable price which was great because they usually only do the more involved alterations.

  I was very impressed with my wedding dress alterations from Bridgett at A Stitch Above the Rest. I was so pleased with the way my dress fit and it was very comfortable. I received many compliments on the fit of my dress! Bridgett also made a long veil for me and combined it with a shorter veil I purchased to match my dress - the combination of both veils was truly amazing! She really took the time to create a beautiful wedding look for me, thank you Bridgett!

  Do not take your high end, designer wedding dress here. They didn't tell me that the alterations needed for my dress were beyond their skill level until they nearly ruined it. When they were done with it the straps were falling off my shoulders, the dress gapped down the front, the armholes were too small, it hang wrong and the applique was in the wrong place and they told me further alterations were impossible which was NOT the case. I had to find a more skilled seamstress three weeks before my wedding and pay for her to undo the damage that they did and then re-alter it correctly, but not before I bought a second dress in shear panic because I was so doubtful the damage couldn't be undone. Would not recommend at all.
