Melody was absolutely amazing! She was prompt to respond and extremely proactive with this surprise proposal. She went above and beyond to make my now fiancé and I's day so very special by organizing transport, another location for pictures and restaurant accommodations, all of which were even a surprise to me! I would highly recommend working with Melody. CONTACTING: Initially, contacting the right person was difficult. I did not know who I needed to talk to, but five people and three months later I was looped in with Melody. I started planning for a surprise proposal, in February, that was going to take place during a family trip to Juniper Preserve in May. I had called and set up dinner reservations for Iris, a restaurant at the resort, and wanted to organize a small private space in or near the restaurant for the proposal itself. The first person I spoke to through their main contact line had transferred me to the events department. I called the events office multiple times with no answer and left a voicemail to which was responded to over a week later. I spoke to someone about my plan and they gave me the contact information for a food and drink manager who they believed was better equipped to accommodate this. I reached out to this person via phone and email; he was on vacation and I heard back from him about two weeks later. He then referred me back to events via email. Someone from events looped in another person. This person finally looped in Melody. Once Melody took over, it was nothing but great! THE PROPOSAL: By this point I had already been able to discuss some of the private areas with other members of the events team. Most of the areas had a price tag, and I was on a budget. So, I planned on taking a walk into the Ghost Tree forrest, which was free. So that the proposal could be private, Melody arranged for some resort employees to be posted at each end of the trail that passes this area to nonchalantly block any other foot traffic (for a small fee that was minimal compared to the other areas). The plan was to show up early for the dinner reservation on "accident" and have the host/hostess tell us that the table was not quite ready and to feel free to take a walk until they text us - Melody organized this with the restaurant staff. I checked in the day of and asked Melody if there was going to be anyone on Spirit Island - a small, private island of a pond on the course near the restaurant - as it was a better location for pictures. I did not discuss this option with her in advance as I was initially quoted a hefty price for a minimum of four hours of a reservation. She stated that no one had reserved the island and asked if we wanted to just have the proposal there instead at no charge. My answer was an obvious yes as this was the ideal plan from the beginning if there hadn't been as high of a price tag. She made sure the chain was up until a few minutes before my fiancé and I planned on crossing the bridge, set up champagne on ice on the island, and surprised both my fiancé and myself (after we took some photos with family on the island) with a golf cart to chauffeur us to the cave entrances for more photos. Our family that was present went back to the restaurant and when we returned from taking pictures, we found out that Melody set us and the family up in a private room at the restaurant as well! She went above and beyond for my fiancé and I at no extra cost and we can not thank her enough!

We went to the Barlow Room (sister property of the Joel Palmer House in Dayton, OR) for our Rehearsal dinner the last weekend of May. It was awesome to be able to reserve enough tables for 30 people without having to pay for the whole space! They were very flexible & allowed us to create our own menu & bring in our own wine (for a fair corkage fee). The food was excellent & the atmosphere was inviting. When you host an event, you always feel confirmation of the location when you have multiple guests raving about the quality & tastiness of the food. Highly recommend for small parties or a weekend out!

We wrote this to their general manager Chris: Dear Chris, Jonathan and I had our wedding at Lewis River Golf Course on 8/10/2024.  I wanted to share with you our heartfelt thanks, gratitude and appreciation for EVERYTHING.   Little did we know planning our wedding just 4 months away would lead us to you.  From finding the venue, visiting, and signing on, everything was easy, happy, and stress free.  We had a ton of guests with food sensitivities, clear food labeling was no problem.  We asked for referrals through you and found our wonderful photographer.  At the wedding, Michelle from your team was BY FAR, the BEST person, event coordinator we have ever worked with.  We have planned and worked with many venues with our business.  Michelle was ABOVE and BEYOND.  She was there from 11 am - 11pm when we shut down.  She was helpful, conscientious in every way.  She made sure the bride and our bridal party had water, snacks, clear communication with you and with our vendors.  My hair stylist, videographer, photographer and DJ, all said, Michelle, the staff, and you Chris, were the best staff, service they had ever experienced at any venue and that they would be recommending Lewis River to everyone.    The beauty of the wedding location next to the river was magnificent. Your team also really helped our photographer and videographer find the BEST of the best of your location and venue to create magic.  The food was delicious, excellently prepared, and the chef's attention to detail with food allergies was exceptional.  Our wedding was magical.  I have a short video included that I want  you to feel free to use to advertise or share on social media in any way you want to and it really highlights the location, the venue, and the magic of our wedding.    I've shared my experience on multiple review platforms because frankly, you and your team really deserve it.  I think the photos on your website simply don't showcase what you guys do with weddings accurately.  I'm over the moon with everyone on your team.  Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.  Michelle is a 100/10 experience and I hope that as an organization, you recognize this level of an employee that takes personal interest, pride, and this level of dedication and excellence to heart.  She honestly cared so much.  I would encourage and sing from the rooftop that anyone who wants to consider a wedding in the area, this is the place and the only place to consider.   With Gratitude, Jonathan & Maggie

We were married at A River House last summer, and it was truly the best day ever. Everything went so smoothly from start to finish, which allowed us to be fully present and enjoy every moment. Jamee and Julee were incredible to work with — they made us feel like family throughout the entire process. We’re so grateful we chose A River House for such an important day and will always look back on our wedding there with so much joy.

We are ski/mountain people and we knew we wanted our wedding on the mountain. Compared to other venues in the area, we ultimately picked Meadows because it was more affordable and had more flexibility than others. We really appreciated the flexibility with the bar options. The food was delicious, and a tasting dinner was included. The staff were kind and helpful and assistance with setup/tear down was really appreciated. We had our wedding in The Vertical (in the fall, completely indoors) and while it might not look like much in the stock photos (other than the amazing windows!) it really looks nice once the tables are setup and everything is "yours". We wanted a rustic/cosy/mountain feel without making our guests have an overland adventure in heels, and this venue helped achieve that perfectly.

Adrienne was excellent to work with. From start to finish she was attentive to our needs, finding solutions to our concerns and providing us with a perfect evening for the wedding rehearsal dinner. Everyone was very impressed with the room and the food was excellent. I highly recommend Jake's Catering.

Highly recommend getting married at Aspen Lakes! The venue is gorgeous, and the staff goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and accommodated.

Caitlin and the whole team at Pelican were AMAZING!!! They provided incredible service and a great value! Caitlin was always happy to answer questions and help us nail down logistics. The day of our wedding was a huge storm and we were worried it might throw things way off course. They were great though and worked with us on last minute changes to make sure everything happened just how we wanted it to! The staff were all unbelievably incredible as well. I heard comments from just about every guest about how nice the service crew was and how much it felt like they were enjoying the night just as much as the guests! I can't recommend them enough. They really made our whole wedding unforgettable.
