My wife and I found Camp Colton last year by chance. Riding down the road on my motorcycle I saw the sign, pointed it out to my wife, and made a mental note to check the place out online that evening. We’d been looking around for wedding venues but that day was just a random ride through the countryside.

We went back and toured the venue later and absolutely fell in love with the place. It seemed like it was tailor made for our dream wedding. From the old growth forest to the dining hall and lodges, it was the right balance of nature and modernity.
We did our due diligence and toured two other places but nothing could compare to camp Colton, and we actually changed our tentative date to secure a summer wedding.

The team at camp Colton was amazing throughout the experience. Allison is helpful, patient and professional.
She obviously cared about our wedding, and made us feel like superstars on the day. She was with us every step of the way.

Our wedding went off without any problems and we had the most magical and amazing day and night. We stayed on the grounds at a cabin and I would’ve just stayed there forever if I could’ve, it’s truly a special place.

This venue was absolutely stunning. All of our guests are still talking about how incredible this venue was. We wanted to have a forest wedding with temperature controlled areas without taking away from the forest feeling. We also wanted a venue where we could be there all weekend. Camp Colton was everything we dreamed of. We did the wedding weekend package and Allison was wonderful! We arrived on a Friday and had our rehearsal dinner in the lodge because of the rain. Allison was there to help direct traffic and the parking attendants were amazing day of the wedding! The lodging was exactly what we were looking for and the fire pit was perfect for our smaller after party. One of the best parts is the groom's side had a place to hang out and get ready while the bride's side was getting ready. So many places we toured there was just a room for the groom's side, but our groom party had an entire lodge! We cannot recommend Camp Colton enough for your wedding if it is within your budget!

Camp Colton was not only the most beautiful and enchanting venue, but the host acted as a wedding planner to ensure a smooth, successful wedding.

Got married at Camp Colton September 2019. We absolutely fell in love with this venue. The forest, the creek, and the old buildings that are amazingly updated to “rustic modern”. The Bridal/Honeymoon suite was also beautiful.
Dana, the coordinator, was accommodating, communicative, and a joy to work with.
If this venue is in your price range I would highly recommend it, without hesitation.

Camp Colton is a stunning mixed outdoor/indoor venue. We had 200 guests whom all were impressed with the flow and ease of this beautiful space. The staff, Dana & Michael, went above and beyond to make our day magical. The wedding suite was the perfect place to get ready, with everything one would need. With being just an hour outside of Portland, it is an easy drive for guests staying in Portland while being in the middle of the Pacific Northbest beauty! If you have the opportunity to get married here, we highly suggest it. Thanks Camp Colton, we will cherish our wedding memories forever.

Camp Colton has new owners and a new staff running the place. Michael, the manager, has been nothing but inviting and professional with us. Camp is a one of a kind rustic location w a perfect twist of modern. They are doing so much to revamp the place. Definitely check it out. I've been told that all tours are currently on hold due to remodeling, but events should start running summer of '17. Looking back on the other reviews it seems like the new ownership is in our favor as brides :)

As soon as we pulled up to Camp Colton we knew that this venue was the one for us! It's set in a gorgeous forest with a river running through it. We decided to book the weekend package (Friday afternoon – Sunday morning) . This was something we were really hoping for in a venue since we had a lot of out of town bridesmaids, groomsman, and family. We are SO GLAD we did as it made the wedding feel much more special. With the weekend package we had access to about 10 sleeping quarters (cabins, yurts, tiny house) that were all spread throughout the property so all our closest friends and family got to enjoy the property with us that weekend. (we had about 25 people in the sleeping quarters) With the weekend package we were also able to have our rehearsal dinner at the property plus breakfast the morning after our wedding.

The only downside to being in at a secluded lovely forest is guests had to stay a little far. The city of Colton is tiny with limited airbnbs or hotels. So guests stayed in oregon city, molalla, etc. Camp colton offers a unique solution to this problem and has a camp ground large enough for 12+ tents (which is great for the party people who should not drive home). If you have a lot of our of town guests something to consider.

The wedding site was absolutely breathtaking, it was set outside in an intimate forest clearing. The dining hall was spectacular and had a great flow leading into dance floor on the patio. (The church is also gorgeous for those who want a church wedding). The bridal suite has an outdoor clawfoot tub! (yes you read that right, tub in the trees next to a river!)

Last, but certainly not least, is the staff! I could write a whole separate review about how amazing the team at Camp Colton is. Dana is the coordinator and she is a rockstar. She was so willing to do whatever she could to make our wedding perfect! We appreciated her expertise and calm during the craziness of the wedding. The owner Jared was very kind. The venue provides set up for tables and benches etc as wella as a bartender.

Camp colton was the best choice we made for our wedding and we will cherish that place for the rest of our lives.

First of all this venue is absolutely stunning. It was quite literally all I had dreamed of for my wedding day and I was excited I found it.

We went on a two hour tour with the sales and events manager to see all the things Camp Colton had to offer. After our tour she handed us a booklet and sent an email that contained a spreadsheet of pricing. Much to our surprise the pricing she re-stated over and over again during the tour did not mach the booklet nor the online pricing. In fact it was off about 4 grand for every package. I called her and asked her to verify why pricing was off and she stated "I can get you less than what those show, let me come in tomorrow morning and give you a price breakdown". The next morning she sends an email of her price breakdown that shows the pricing of the booklet and spreadsheet (four thousand more than price we were told during the tour). She also put in red headlines "Both September and October fall into out peak season pricing", but what's interesting was when she was giving us the cheaper pricing during the tour she knew September and October were the only months we were interested in. Within her emails she intended to make me feel dumb and that I misunderstood. We had four people attend the tour and all had the same impression because simply...she gave us wrong prices and she knows she did. All and all I wouldn't recommend Camp Colton. Whether she got her packages mixed up (which she didn't admit) or she straight up lied to get a sale, I will never do business with her and wouldn't recommend anyone else to either. It's a shame because it truthfully is a beautiful place.
