Jessie and Amy did a great job with the wedding. The venue is beautiful and she help us all the way.

From the very beginning Jessie and Amy walked us through the process. Helping us with everything. The venue is beautiful and clean, they did an outstanding job. My daughter and son in law couldn’t of been more happy. Jessie and Amy put their hearts and souls into this place and into their clients.

One of a kind!!

Amy and Jesse were nothing short of amazing hosts and wedding planners. They literally thought of everything. Our day was stress free and more than perfect. They have both become friends as well!

What an amazing place and people

When we booked this venue we had no idea what to expect, we not only had an amazing wedding day that was beautiful, fun, emotional and perfect in everyway but we met three amazing people, Amy, Jesse, and Leo(well he's not a person but an awesome dog). Amy and Jesse made us feel great and like family. I will only recommend this place and these people for the rest of our lives. Thank you from our family.

Think twice

In all fairness I have tried to list the pros in addition to the cons in this review.
Amy is the main venue contact/manager and her partner, Jesse helps with setup and grounds maintenance.

Things she promised but not deliver on;

-Decorations on photo booth. Sadly, the decor for the photo booth that we provided, at our own cost, was ruined beyond repair (by Amy) and we were unable to use at the reception.

More things she promised but not deliver on;
-Outdoor games incl. cornhole
-Price quote for fresh flowers
-Fresh flowers on cake & help serving the cake
-Assistance with wedding planning
-Help directing activities during reception and being present and available during reception. We were constantly looking for her.

-Having all the decorations prepped and ready to go prior to ceremony. We delivered decorations starting 2 weeks prior (per her request so that she could have them ready), however, she did not even look at them until the ceremony was about to begin. Unfortunately, some decor didn't make it out at all.

Areas Amy was lacking in;
-COMMUNICATION, VERY, VERY hard to get in contact with her, does not return phone calls/texts

-ORGANIZATION, very unorganized, back rooms look like a hoarder house. Kitchen was very dirty.

-Personal attention, she was taking personal texts/phonecalls during our rehearsal.

-We personally went over what linens/decor we wanted on the dining table MONTHS prior and Amy as well as us took pics of the tables. We had to remind her MANY, MANY times what we had decided on. This included on the night of rehearsal! At the rehearsal she was trying to talk us into table linens that weren't even my daughters colors! We had given her a swatch MONTHS prior.

Pros, things that were provided,

Beautiful, beautiful property
Tables & chairs provided
Bathrooms provided
Jesse (partner) was very helpful and tried to compensate for Amy
Serving of food (food brought by us)
Using our decorations, they did get the wedding arch decorated nicely (I assume this was done by Jesse)
Sound system
Table #'s provided

Engaged couples beware! They have a wonderful property, however the management of the venue is very, very lacking. One of their big selling points is that they say they help with the wedding planning. They do not!

Brides, Beware

I got married here May 11, 2024. Here’s my experience:

I was a very laid back Bride. I told Amy consistently that the image I had for my wedding was all laced around one word: Comfortable. Which, so far it has not. I booked this venue just over a year out from my date, and firstly I must say, it’s a beautiful venue. However, that is all that it is in my opinion.

BIG things are lacking here, especially on the management side. Amy is a wonderful person, but she is stretched WAYYYY too thin. She is a nightmare to get ahold of. Even up to a month out, it took her forever to return my calls and texts. Now, 2 months after, I was promised a quote on preserving my bouquet with my marriage certificate. I’ve received nothing. By now, my bouquet is probably dead. Amy also took pictures of the ceremony for us, which I thought was just out of the goodness of her heart, but turns out I’m supposed to be sent an invoice. I’ve gotten nothing. This is heartbreaking for me.

Rehearsal Day:
Rehearsal day wasn’t the worst, but I will say the venue was a mess. They were staining the deck, lots of flowers everywhere, and it was very short and to the point. No decorations were put up, which I also found a bit weird, I didn’t get to see anything til I walked down the aisle.

Wedding Day:
We arrived right at 8:00am. The morning wasn’t bad, except for the fact that decorations were never put up until minutes before the wedding. There was no logic behind how decorations were put out. I ordered an After the Tone phone that was EXTREMELY important to me that it was in a visible area so I could get as many voicemails as possible. Instead, it was tucked in a corner in the pavilion that no one, including me, knew where it was. There was maybe 2-5 voicemails left during the wedding, and to get my $500 worth of use out of the phone, I had to make up for Amy’s mistake and personally take the phone to other guests the day after. She focused all morning on stupid details — like taking muffins and putting them on a pretty plate versus setting up the venue properly. I lost count of how many times I asked about the decorations. I also had a memorial table that later, I heard was barely turned on in time. Unacceptable.

She created a timeline for the wedding that she was unable to keep up with, as the wedding started late. After the ceremony, we were supposed to get “private time” as she calls it. Max 10 minutes. Photographer took us for some photos. Later I found out, it was more like 30 we had of private time before the photographer. Guests ate and left. Consistently asked where the couple was. I was unable to enjoy my time because we were constantly running behind because of the lack of communication on Amy’s part.

2 months post wedding:

I can’t even get ahold of Amy. I’ve called, texted, and emailed every number or address I can find, trying to get my bouquet and photos on her phone from her. I donated tons of my personal bought decorations to her to which she promised a discount on the preservation of my bouquet. Nothing. No communication what so ever. I feel now like I am being scammed, I feel like the services I was promised were not delivered on, and I am deeply saddened that this is diminishing the beauty of my wedding. I feel like I should be refunded for my experience, the lack of communication, and the cost of the decorations I gave her in turn for the discount off of my bouquet preservation.

I wouldn’t recommend this venue until they figure out their management style. Don’t offer wedding planning services until you are fully staffed, because this is a day that we can only do once for the first time, and I feel like Amy’s actions ruined a lot of mine.

UPDATE 12/30:

STILL NOTHING. Last I heard, Amy was out due to health issues until 11/28. Reached out then, no response. Reached out two days ago, no response. Again today, no response. This is very unfortunate to see someone hold dear memories hostage since June of this year, with so many changes in her timeline of “I can get it done in September — wait no October” then to being out in November, and no response in December. At this point, just tell me what you used in the bouquet and I’ll go somewhere else, but I will make it known: DO NOT use Applegate Ranch as your venue unless you want a bunch of issues. Brides, beware, this is a scam. I just want to be done with this.
