The Thomas Delano House was the absolute perfect choice for our October wedding in Portland. We stayed there for the weekend with both sides of our families and hosted our ceremony and farewell brunch in the garden. The house itself is extremely charming and comfortable for a group of 18 that included several toddlers and grandparents. Everyone had plenty of space to relax, cook together, and enjoy late nights around the outdoor fire. The house was well stocked for cooking and family dinners. The barn is heated and is the perfect hangout on chilly evenings. The garden was the most beautiful, intimate setting for both our wedding ceremony and our farewell brunch the next morning. Kristen and Steve went above and beyond—offering to coordinate both events and completely exceeding my expectations. They provided all the chairs, champagne glasses, and a delicious high-quality brunch so we could simply enjoy every moment. From the very beginning, Kristen and Steve were amazing to work with—warm, responsive, and genuinely dedicated to making our weekend special. They referred us to local vendors and even introduced us to Christa, who became our day-of coordinator and felt like a fairy godmother. I was so grateful to work with such incredible partners for our wedding weekend. It’s clear that Kristen and Steve care deeply about both the history of the house and the joy of celebrating there. I highly recommend this venue if you’re looking for an intimate celebration and a memorable weekend!

I cannot say enough positive things about Lucky Cheetah!!! It has quickly become my husband and I’s favorite spot in Portland due to the incredible service, atmosphere, food, and cocktails. Because of this, we reached out to them about hosting a work dinner party here and they swiftly agreed! Carolyn was fantastic to work with and gave fabulous recommendations for which menu items to serve. The back room and table were setup beautifully for the party. Stefan is a fantastic server who waited on us the whole night! Our group thoroughly enjoyed the food, drinks, and their time spent here! Thank you for making this night so special for us!! I highly recommend this spot for any occasion—they are the best!

We held our wedding reception at Mariner's Church 9/20/2025 and were beyond impressed by the level of service provided by all of the staff, but especially Carrie. They went above and beyond to coordinate every single detail of our special day which allowed us to be hands-off and enjoy our celebration. Our guests were very impressed by the venue, the food, and the services provided by Carrie. I cannot say enough positive things about them!

Our experience with Colleen and the rest of the team at Diamond’s Edge / Inn at Diamond Cove was so wonderful from start to finish! Months later, guests are still telling us how special and unique the whole experience of attending a wedding on an island felt and the team at the venue was such a huge part of that! The inn was the perfect place to get ready, so calm, beautiful, and such a lovely environment for the bridal party as a way to set the tone for the day! The team was incredibly helpful with logistics on the day of, including shuttling us to and from the dock and wedding tent, which made the day feel smooth and stress-free. In the months and weeks leading up to the wedding, the team was so supportive in helping us coordinate details and bring items over to the island as out-of-towners! They answered all of our many questions about the logistics of having a wedding on an island and hosted a lovely tasting with our families at the Portland Harbor during the planning process! On rehearsal day and wedding day, Colleen and her team ran everything efficiently and seamlessly! The food and signature cocktails were excellent, and we felt so taken care of, as did our guests! Great Diamond Island is such a special place, and this team does an incredible job of creating an experience that feels just as magical as the island itself!

Our experience hosting our wedding at Oxbow Blending & Bottling was nothing short of incredible. The entire staff was responsive, communicative, accommodating, and genuinely some of the kindest people we worked with throughout the process. They answered our many questions with ease and gave us the freedom to curate the day exactly as we envisioned. The planning process was incredibly organized, and the day-of coordinator was truly an angel on earth and on top of every detail. Being in the heart of so many trusted vendors who work together often took a huge weight off our shoulders. The venue was also very affordable, and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect night. We truly could not recommend Oxbow more highly.

We held all of our weekend events (rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, post dinner welcome drinks, ceremony and reception) at the venue and it was nothing short of amazing! The Lions Club staff was very responsive and helpful with all the planning and questions before, during and after. And your money goes to a great cause! I cannot recommend this venue enough!

Carrie and everyone at the Regency were all the best!! Everyone there was super helpful and made everyone who attended our wedding and everyone included in the wedding feel taken care of. We absolutely had to worry about nothing, we literally just showed up and had the most amazing day. Thank you very much!!! I can’t recommend this place enough!!

We recently had our wedding at the Westin on February 20th in the junior ballroom. Laura Lavigne was our wedding coordinator, she is so sweet, professional, and accommodating planner I had the pleasure of working with. She helped make our wedding vision come to life along with making sure everything went smoothly. All of the staff at the hotel, along with the food, and accommodations made our day so perfect, EVEN during a pandemic! If you are looking for a beautiful venue with friendly staff, amazing food, bar services, and reasonably priced, in gorgeous downtown Portland Maine, THIS is the place for you! You will not be disappointed! Looking back, I would choose this venue over and over!

My husband and I just celebrated our wedding at RiRa Irish Pub in Portland's Old Port, and I couldn't be more thrilled to share our incredible experience! From the moment we walked through their doors for our initial consultation, the staff made us feel like family. The atmosphere at RiRa is absolutely magical for a wedding celebration. It mixes traditional coastal/nautical decor with the warmth of an Irish pub. The floor to ceiling windows created the perfect backdrop for our special day. Our guests were enchanted by the genuine Irish hospitality and the venue's charming character. The upstairs private dining area was ideal for our reception, offering intimacy while still maintaining that lively pub spirit we fell in love with. The staff went above and beyond to make our day flawless. Tara the event coordinator was attentive to every detail, working closely with us during the planning process and ensuring everything ran smoothly on the wedding day. The servers were professional, friendly, and kept our guests' glasses full throughout the celebration. The food was outstanding! We opted for buffet style.. the SHORT RIBS & BRUSSEL SPROUTS were show stoppers. As were the oysters and seafood tower appetizers. The smoked mussels were a STAR. The bar service was exceptional too – their Guinness pours kept coming. What truly set RiRa apart was how they embraced our vision while adding their own special touches. They helped coordinate with our musicians for traditional Irish music and then a DJ for late night dancing. The location in the heart of Portland's Old Port was perfect for our out-of-town guests, with nearby hotels and easy access to the city's attractions. Many of our wedding party extended their weekend to explore Portland, making it a true destination celebration. RiRa Irish Pub gave us the wedding of our dreams – authentic, warm, delicious, and unforgettable. The staff's dedication and the venue's unique charm made our special day absolutely perfect. We had a great experience working with Rising Tide, we had a small wedding of about 50 people and the East Room was just the right size. We also did our ceremony in the room and the staff rearranged the space during the cocktail hour, which was fairly smooth. It was a great deal and so convenient to have food, drinks, and the space all together.
