This venue was perfect for us for several reasons. We were essentially booking our venue, caterer, and day-of coordinator all in one. This made planning and coordination much easier. Deb was great to work with; she went out of her way to ensure that our wedding reception was perfect. We received several compliments on both the gorgeous venue and the delicious food. The hall does overlook the pool, but it honestly was not distracting at all (our reception was held on a Saturday in August, so the pool was open). I think this venue is a great value for the price, and I'm so glad we went with it.

We held our rehearsal dinner at Blue Bistro. The food was amazing and there was plenty of it! They sent everything home with us (including the croutons for the salad). I have never had buffet food (we had chicken marsala) that was so well prepared and flavorful. One of my bridesmaids has a severe gluten allergy, and they were very accommodating. They work with Snickerdoodles baker for an assortment of dessert, which were delicious and varied. They do not have a liquor license, so we did need to bring our own alcohol.

Our wedding day was absolutely perfect and Truly Scrumptious Candy & Dessert Bars were a huge part of that! The dessert table exceeded all of our expectations and was beyond anything we could've imagined. It was absolutely beautiful and all of the treats were so yummy! My husband and I have constantly been laughing to ourselves because there was a huge line to get to our dessert table once it opened and then it was demolished. We got sooo many compliments about the dessert bar and people truly enjoyed every part of it! Allison made the dessert planning process so easy and fun. She brilliantly handled all of my requests and executed every detail perfectly. We found out that my husband had a gluten allergy midway through planning, and Allison was so quick to offer so many gluten friendly dessert choices in addition to other dietary requests we already had for our guests. We loved our desserts so much that we asked her for more after our wedding! We can't wait to hire Truly Scrumptious Candy and Dessert Bars for the next event and will be recommending Allison to everyone we know!

Tom was our caterer through the Union Mills Homestead and I cannot emphasize enough how amazing he and his wife were through the whole process! Getting married is hard, getting married during the covid pandemic ... well let's just say we were both stressed and nearly bald from pulling our hair out. If it wasn't for Tom, we would not have gotten married this year. He made sure every detail was in place and that we were taken care of on our wedding day. He handled rentals, made recommendations on colors and walked us through every detail. He even helped with details I never considered like the timelines and fans. He allowed us to use his wine barrels which are an expensive add on at any other venue. He fed us snacks during the million pictures we took during cocktail hour, had our dinner plates ready during the reception and even sent to go boxes with us to eat later on. We actually got to enjoy our meal around 1 am thanks to the hard work of Tom and his team. The food is great! Get the crab dip, believe me when I say you don't want to miss out on it! If you're like us and wanted a stress free wedding that won't break the bank... then do yourself a favor and hire this company.
