Wedding Venues in San Marcos

We had a December wedding here with 180 people and had so many people tell us that it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to. The flow of the venue is absolutely perfect for a crowd and had plenty of little spaces to hangout but still felt intimate. The gardens are absolutely beautiful and well maintained. The bridal salon was perfect to get ready with all the bridesmaids and the boys loved the speakeasy. The venue is all outside with a heated tent. We rented space heaters for cocktail hour but the tent was nice and cozy for a chilly December night. We opted for the satellite bar during happy hour and everyone said they got their drinks FAST! We were extremely impressed with the bartending staff and they even let us do a signature cocktail. You also provide all of your own liquor and mixers which was a huge plus if you want open bar with a big crowd. The food was amazing, we did family style, and everyone raved about it. The family style is perfect so tables don’t feel bad getting table called last to the buffet. We did beef, chicken, mashed potatoes, and green beans; people’s only complaint was that there was too much food. The staff was outstanding and attentive. Our wedding coordinator, Gina, was so helpful and informative throughout the entire planning process. She is so organized and made me go into our wedding with no stress knowing I would be in good hands. Katie was our bridal assistant, she is such a gem. She was so sweet bringing us champagne and checking in on us all day while getting ready. The star of the show was the manager, Billy. Billy absolutely crushed it and made sure everything went smoothly. He checked on me all day and even carried by bags and escorted me to our party bus on the way out. Overall we had the most magical wedding and can’t thank Twin Oaks and all their staff for making our day so special.

Our wedding at Twin Oaks Golf Course was absolutely perfect, and I cannot say enough about the incredible team that made it happen. Nicole is genuinely one of the most amazing people I have ever met, both personally and professionally. She made the entire process seamless, and for every email, phone call, and question from me or my husband, she was incredibly attentive and kind. The staff on the night of the wedding were just as wonderful, so patient, thoughtful, and genuinely caring. They treated our families with such respect and made sure we could truly enjoy every moment. From the waiters to the chefs to the bartenders, every single person went above and beyond.

My husband and I got married at Green Gables a little over a month ago, and we're still basking in the joy and magic of our special day! I was the wedding planner and officiant for my sister’s wedding, and after researching a long list of venues, I ultimately chose the Lakehouse Resort in San Marcos, California—and it exceeded every expectation. Our wedding was an intimate celebration with 30 guests, and the Boathouse ceremony and reception site was absolutely perfect. The setting is stunning—right on the lake—and ideal for a small gathering. The resort also offers beautiful spaces for larger weddings that are worth exploring. From start to finish, the Lakehouse team was exceptional. I first worked with Ashley on the quotation and contract process. She was incredibly accommodating, quick to respond (even while on an international vacation!), and flexible with contract adjustments. Once the contract was complete, I worked with Nicole, the senior event manager, who was an absolute dream to collaborate with. She’s highly organized, detail-oriented, and genuinely cares about creating a seamless experience. Thanks to her professionalism and support, the entire day was flawless—from setup to service. The food and cocktails were outstanding, and our guests couldn’t stop raving about them. Beyond the wedding itself, the resort’s lakeside setting offers plenty to do—boating, biking, golfing, or simply relaxing by the pool. Guests loved being able to stay right where the celebration took place, making the weekend both fun and stress-free. I highly recommend the Lakehouse Resort to anyone planning a wedding. It’s a beautiful venue, backed by an exceptional team that truly goes above and beyond to make your day unforgettable.

We LOVED having our son's rehearsal dinner at TERI. It was a beautiful setting! They provided table linens, napkins, silverware, glasses, and everything we needed. All we had to bring was a sign and flowers for the tables. The taqueria bar was delicious and we got so many compliments! They made special vegan/gluten free brownies and dairy free cupcakes for us. The staff were beyond helpful and accommodating at the event. Laura was so great to work with in the planning stages. I am so thankful we chose TERI to host our event! We would do it again!

Such a helpful team of people and super genuine. They are very passionate at what they do and super professional. Plus their wine is delicious!! Thank you for helping make our day the fairytale we hoped it’d be and showing us and our guests a great time!

We had a gorgeous wedding ceremony and reception at Bheauview Ranch this June and couldn't have asked for a more lovely, intimate and beautiful space amidst farm animals, roses and still so close to everything. Definitely a hidden gem that you will be glad to choose for your wedding ceremony and/or reception. What made this space so special was how much access we had to this gorgeous space (Shera - the owner, only hosts 1 wedding/weekend) and how she has so much on-site so it cuts down costs, coordination and so much more. There are also so many environments within the ranch for you to enjoy from the beautiful barn, the outdoor spaces and more. We decided to have our rehearsal dinner outdoors at the ranch with pizza and wine and our close friends and family with view to the animals, outside the barn and our 70 guests LOVED it. We then headed into the cottage to have a live music jam session with me on the grand piano, Alex on guitar and his brother on drums! The space also allowed Alex and I to get ready at the space so we could enjoy the process and stay cool. And whether you are having 10 guests or over 200, the ranch can accommodate your guest list. So much flexibility and a great value. My husband and I couldn't have asked for a better place to get married and our guests absolutely LOVED the ranch. Plus the funds for the wedding venue go towards rescuing animals and keeping the ranch in top shape for other couples to get married there. Alex & Priscilla
