Wedding Venues in La Jolla

We had such a wonderful wedding at the Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines! The secluded ceremony sites look out over green trees with ocean views to die for. Of the many ballrooms available, we loved the Fairway with floor to ceiling windows giving guests sunset views over Torrey Pines and the Pacific. It was easy to host guests on site with all of our events in one location, making logistics on our big day so much simpler. We partied late into the night and woke up to blue skies, green grass, stunning cliffs, and a shimmering ocean. What more could you ask for! The event staff has been there for years with tons of property knowledge- they are ready and happy to turn your plans into the wedding you've dreamed about.

Darlington House is a truly beautiful wedding venue, and overall, we had a good experience hosting our wedding there. The grounds were spotless, the landscaping and different spaces were so pretty that we needed very little additional decor, and our guests had a great time. We were also able to schedule unlimited walkthroughs leading up to the wedding, which was really helpful, and there were no issues with setup, teardown, or getting our security deposit back. Communication with Carly, the venue coordinator, was always quick and professional through the venue’s portal. She sent reminders about vendor COIs and other important information, which helped keep us on track leading up to the wedding. My biggest advice to other couples would be to read the contract in full and make sure you are comfortable with the venue’s rules before booking. Given that it is a historic site, the rules are extremely specific and there is very little flexibility, so you have to be willing to get creative within their guidelines. In our experience, if we asked for an exception to a rule, the answer was no. The biggest challenge for us was the lack of a built-in rain plan at the venue level. There was no flexibility to use indoor spaces in case of inclement weather, so we had to spend a pretty significant amount on a tent to ensure the day would go smoothly. That said, Carly was helpful in guiding us toward vendors and coordinating with another couple so we could split the tent cost, which we really appreciated. Overall, Darlington House is a gorgeous venue, and the actual wedding day went smoothly; we loved it. My husband and I got married at Estancia La Jolla two weeks ago and I cannot recommend it enough! With a love for San Diego, we wanted to create a San Diego experience for our wedding guests throughout our venue/wedding weekend! As soon as we stepped foot on the Estancia property, we noticed its Spanish charm, wonderful staff, and beautiful scenery. It was the perfect venue for us to create that amazing wedding experience! We primarily worked with Isabel Barnachia, the corporate catering sales manager, and Molly Lawler, the event services manager. Both Isabel and Molly demonstrated exceptional and timely communication throughout the planning process. Molly, in particular, was phenomenal! She was pivotal in helping us execute the most perfect day and was so kind/sweet throughout it all! Every vision we had was made possible because of Molly! If you have the opportunity to get married at Estancia, I would highly recommend it! Thank you Molly and Isabel for being so wonderful!

La Jolla Cove Rooftop is a gorgeous venue with some of the best views in San Diego, but the photos can show you that. What isn’t immediately known, but becomes obvious, is how great of a venue it is because of the people who work there. My husband and I booked our wedding at La Jolla Cove Rooftop over two years in advance from our wedding day. We spent that time fully customizing our day, including DIYing most of our decor. We were able to access the venue at any time we wanted, whether to check measurements or show it off to family visiting from out of town. They took care of all the bigger vendors (bakery, florist, DJ) so we could focus on the details that mattered to us. Even then, their hand selected vendors were fully customizable to us and brought our vision to life. Bree was the coordinator we met with throughout the process, and she was always so warm and so enthusiastic about our vision. She had many couples of her own, but when we showed up for rehearsal day, Bree still remembered us, gave us a big hug and was ecstatic about our day. Robert was our coordinator for the last meeting, rehearsal and wedding day. We couldn’t have had such a beautiful day without him. Immediately, Robert understood who we were as a couple and was extremely keyed in to all the little things we had worked on the last 2+ years. We felt extremely comfortable putting our vision in his hands, and he became a very trusted partner quickly. When it became clear that we would have to move to a rain contingency plan, changing the vision of our wedding day we had for years, Robert was available to us to answer questions, quickly come up with a plan and comfort us through the anxiety of changing everything at the last minute. On wedding day, when the rain got the best of me, Robert was the one to give me a hug and let me process my emotions before our ceremony. The day was absolutely perfect thanks to Robert and team. All of our guests have told us what a great experience they had, and that they even liked being under the pavilion all together more because it gave the wedding an intimate feel. Even with the quick changes, all the important details were included and executed well. Our parents felt cared for by Robert during the whole process as well, he went out of his way to ensure their needs were attended to and they felt important. When Robert left for the night, Esteban and the rest of the team stepped in to take great care of us. Esteban even kindly helped me put my (very rain soaked) dress into a trash bag once the dance floor started so I could change into something more comfortable. At the end of the night, they had no problem kicking out our guests so we could have a private last dance. Shout out to everyone at La Jolla Cove Rooftop for making our wedding day exceptional, even with the weather throwing a wrench into the plans. We will never forget the kindness, warmth and love shown to us on the most important day of our lives. We couldn't have imagined a more perfect venue than La Valencia for our wedding. The setting is absolutely stunning and the team went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly during planning and on the big day. Bobby Fader and his team at La V are absolute pros and the best people to work with -- incredibly communicative, professional, and wonderful to work with every step along the way. Our guests were blown away by the beautiful location and are still talking about the delicious food and top-notch service from everyone at the hotel. We are so grateful for their attention to detail and couldn't recommend working with Bobby and Rebecca more highly. Thank you so much for making it such a special experience for us.

Imagine all the little things you think a bride needs to worry about the day of her wedding. Then imagine them gone. It simply was like that, things I didn't even know I needed or would want were sent to my room, taken care of and all I had to do was stay calm( a hard task for a bride ). Not only is the Sheraton absolutely gracious and flexible to your needs but they also go above and beyond to make sure it's all set to go. And if you're a bit of a control freak like me, they even give you the space to be specific and picky with layout and wants. Phenomenal team, wonderful smiles. And a huge big thank you to Shelby for being the lead and shot caller for every step of the way. It wouldn't be possible without her expertise to guide the venue to success. Thank you so so much Sheraton and even more thank you to Shelby!

My wife and I recently had our wedding reception here. The venue is reasonably priced based on today's market and offer also offer reasonably priced, in-house rentals (amongst other vendors). Since booking there has been some staff exchanges, but all to say that everyone has been very responsive and accommodating and we did not run into any issues whatsoever. All our guests loved this venue and kept raving about it during and after the wedding. Highly recommend, and a big 'thank you' to the team at LJWC!

I just had my wedding at the Lodge at Torrey Pines and could not have had a better experience. We held our reception outside on the Arroyo Terrace and moved into the Maurice Braun ballroom for dancing. The setting is unmatched—paragliders soaring above the cliffs, a view of the ocean, the beautiful golf course, and the Lodge itself. On top of the natural beauty of the location, the staff and the service was incredible. Everyone raved about the food and drinks and guests were served promptly and with care. The entire team at the lodge went above and beyond to make sure our stay was incredible and our wedding day was perfect. On top of all of this, the Lodge was also incredibly flexible when we had to reschedule our wedding due to COVID. They were so responsive, understanding and communicative through the entire process and made an otherwise stressful process, feel easy. We could not be happier with our decision to go with the Lodge for our wedding venue and we highly recommend it to other couples. It’s definitely a higher end experience, but it is worth every penny.

We loved this venue. I was worried it was to small but it was actually perfect! Only complaint was that there was plumbing issues in the small bathroom. Other than that it was flawless.

Alyssa Carrigan was our wedding Event Manager and did such an amazing job. We had no issues with this venue and we are both so pleased. Our day was even more magical than we could've ever imagined. I would highly recommend any event here, especially a beach wedding.
