I absolutely love this pavilion as a wedding venue. A few things to think about:Sent on 09/11/2013
- Bugs! We "fogged" the area the morning of the wedding
- Catering-- there is no kitchen. We did a food truck!
- Bathrooms= port-a-potties. We fancied it up by adding a table outside with handwipes, hand sanitizer, nicer toilet paper, mints, a first aid kit, etc. You'll need candles (we used battery ones) for after dark
- Light! Find out where the switch is to turn on the lights after dark. The light is a monster-green gross! The one mistake we had was relying on those gross lights. String some romantic cafe-style plug in lights instead!

Great affordable venue
I believe the reviewer below left their review on the wrong Lake House. The Lake House at Reston is a wonderful venue for a small-medium wedding. We were able to comfortably fit about 65 guests with a buffet and dance floor. The two-room set up does make it a bit of a challenge at times, but the glass wall makes it feel more connected. It was nice to have separate locations for the dinner and cocktail hour/dancing. There's plenty of parking and the staff was very helpful. If you're not afraid to handle all the vendors (or hire someone who will) this is a very affordable blank canvas to design your event.Sent on 04/26/2019
