Built in 1990 as a private dance studio, The Ballroom is one of the area’s best kept secrets. This beautiful event site features classical architectural design elements and traditional furnishings. The Ballroom is conveniently located between Chevy Chase and Bethesda, making it accessible to residents of DC, Maryland and Virginia. It can comfortably accommodate 280 guests whilst leaving room for dancing. It is fully air-conditioned and has multiple event space options, including: a grand foyer, parlor, reception room with fireplace, and private dining room. The Ballroom is elegantly appointed with beautiful Waterford chandeliers, palladian-mirrored windows, a completely integrated sound system and beautiful hardwood floors. Parking is adjacent to the facility, however, Valet is recommended.

Kasey and Harry's Mitzvah party
Matt and Fielding are a pleasure to work with. They have great ideas and are eager to help make my event as special as possible. Our party was AMAZING and I knew I was in good hands with The Ballroom team from the beginning to the very end! Thank you thank you!!

Loved everything!!! Great ideas, beautiful, and classy!
The ballroom is great!!! We had the pleasure of working with Matt and his team they were very flexible and helpful. The facility is clean and well maintained. We highly recommend this venue for any occasion!
This is one of Bethesda’s best kept secret venues. As a videographer I have worked this venue many times – for weddings, Bat/Bat Mitzvahs, even a Quinceañera. I love the big free parking lot just adjacent to the building and I have to tell you – once it was snowing and unbelievably, the management kept the lot clear for the guests – much appreciated! Over time, I have gotten to know the owner, Matt Simpson and found him always cordial and ready to help with any request. Just a block from River Road, when you arrive at The Ballroom, there is a foyer area very suitable for a cocktail hour, then one heads into a large ballroom. It’s a space – there is some décor but most clients bring in some up-lighting and other accents, perhaps some trendy furniture and once the space is all set – with all the tables, center pieces and all the decorating – it can be stunning. I enjoy working there especially because it is only minutes from my house. I always go home happy and my client’s enjoy the keepsake videos I make for them. I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone needing a fair amount of space and the flexibility to design the event to suit their taste. I hope to work there again sometime soon.
