History

Don Pedro Adolfo de Castro y Besosa, a Puerto Rican architect, employed the Spanish Revival architectural style when designing Serrallés Castle. During Puerto Rico’s years of great industrial development, the castle served as a breathtaking home for Don Juan Eugenio Serrallés and his family. Today, the museum belongs to the Municipality of Ponce. It’s run by a non-profit organization that’s dedicated to promoting the culture and tourism of the city. Besides offering event space, the venue has temporary and permanent exhibitions for the public’s enjoyment.
