Auburn Public Theater

Auburn Public Theater is a multi-venue performing arts center and wedding venue, located centrally in downtown Auburn, New York, in a former 26,000 square foot Grants Department Store. Our mission seeks to expand accessible access to live performance, cinema, arts education, and more to our greater economic region. The Owasco Room at Auburn Public Theater is our newest event venue, recently completed and opened in 2025. This ballroom offers itself to your wildest imagination, turning from an elegant dining room to a hip nightclub, as well as serving as our general large-scale music venue for downtown Auburn. When you book your wedding at The Owasco Room at Auburn Public Theater, you participate in the larger social impact started by our founding members in 2005, supporting a non-profit that sees over 16,000 patrons walk through its doors annually for comedians, musicians, musicals, plays, arts education, and other performing artists.
