Oaklea Estate began its story in 1848, with construction completed in 1852. Each brick was handcrafted onsite using rich mud from the nearby river, giving the estate its distinctive and enduring character.
Recognized for its historical significance, Oaklea Estate was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985 by the United States Department of the Interior.
In 2017, the estate was carefully restored to honor its past while embracing the present. Original wood floors and detailed crown molding remain, preserving its historic soul, while modern amenities were thoughtfully introduced to create a seamless blend of old-world charm and contemporary luxury.
