Robert is a reallly great guy and takes amazing pictures. We felt comfortable with him right away, I think it is incredibly important to be comfortable with your photographer otherwise it wont be a fun experience. His co-worker is also very nice and did an amazing job with getting me to smile and pose comfortably. I would recommend him to anyone! Thank you Robert :)

Robert Ellis is an extremely talented photographer. We did not want a lot of posed photos and his style is photgraphic journalism more than posed portraits, so he was a perfect fit for us. He really captured the beauty and joy of our day. We had such a beautiful, natural setting that I wasn't sure how it would photograph and Robert made it look even better on film. Plus, he put all of us at ease and seemed to every where all the time, yet no one noticed him. He was very personable and friendly, very easy to work with.

Before booking, we had Robert take our engagement photos. He was willing to meet us at Stanford University, which is both of our alma maters, to take the photos. Even though there were many tourists walking around and he was unfamiliar with the Main Quad, Robert was able to capture great photos!

We booked a 6-hour package for our wedding/reception in the Memory Garden in Monterey. The package included a 2nd photographer, which was great for capturing the bride and groom getting ready! In addition, the package includes digital negatives on DVD, so it's great for us to share with family and friends or make custom photo arrangements later on.

For our "first look" before our ceremony, Robert was able to find a new last-minute location since the planned location had a wedding booked there. We did our first look right outside the Memory Garden's blue door, and it turned out beautifully. Robert also did a great job taking many different shots of our family and just the two of us in the spaces around the garden, taking advantage of the historic buildings and outdoor lighting. He was great with a fussy baby cousin to coax the best shots from her. Robert was also very responsive with last-minute shot requests for both family and friends. Finally, Robert quickly processed some of the pictures from the ceremony in time to show them on a laptop near the end of the reception. They looked beautiful and definitely impressed our guests!
