Congratulations on your engagement! Such an exciting time in your lives. Appreciate you taking the time to find out a little bit more about me and my photography.
In a nutshell, I love wedding photography. I've been shooting weddings on the Monterey Peninsula (to include Monterey, Carmel, Carmel Valley, Pebble Beach, Pacific Grove and Big Sur) since 2007.
Shooting style? Candid and posed both.
What are my favorite parts of a wedding? That candid moment when the groom first see's his bride walking down the aisle (love!), first looks, the moment RIGHT before officiant announces them as "Mr and Mrs", the moment when the couple recesses down the aisle and walks a few feet out and has a special private moment to themselves... I even have galleries that I've put together on my Wedding Wire site to showcase this.
I've shot at over 70 locations on the Monterey Peninsula to include;
Pebble Beach Resorts - The Lodge and Pebble Beach, Spanish Bay, Beach and Tennis Club, Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa, InterContinental - The Clement, Hyatt Highlands Inn, Mission Ranch, Nicklaus Country Club, Carmel Valley Ranch, Quail Lodge, Monterey Peninsula Country Club, Gardener Ranch, La Playa Hotel, Cypress Inn, Happy Landing Inn, Pine Inn, Bernardus Lodge, Perry House, Gatherings, Stillwater Cove, Carmel Beach, Asilomar Beach, Berwick Park, Lover's Point Park, Old Whaling Station, Wedding Rock, Castle Rock, Hidden Beach, Monastery Beach, Ribera Beach, Pfeiffer Beach, Garrapata Beach, Big Sur Lodge, Wayfarer Church, Monterey Museum of Art, Monterey Tides, Monterey Bay Aquarium, Martine Inn, White Hart Tea House, Rocky Point, Point Lobos, Il Fornaio Restaurant, Grasings Restaurant, Tarpy's Restaurant, Tickle Pink Inn, Los Laureles Lodge, Martine Inn, Old Monterey Inn, Frog Pond, San Carlos Park and Beach, Robert's Beach, Asilomar Gazebo, Asilomar Lodge, Fanshell Beach, Seal Rock, Point, and more...
Side note - I'm also locally based here on the Monterey Peninsula since 1994, so I know all of the side streets, "ins and outs", hotels, locations..... even if you don't hire me, please please consider hiring a local photographer.
In my downtime, I love to spend time with my family - my husband Brian and our twin 15 year old daughters Brooke and Olivia and our German Shepherd foster dog Max. Other loves: Spotify, Netflix, Reading, Hiking, Movies...
My husband Brian and and I also own a wedding planning business called "Weddings In Monterey" - you can find us on Wedding Wire. When chatting with him about what I should say in this "about me" section told me to mention that I'm one of those people that is super friendly and gets along with everyone. He also said that I "keep things moving" during a wedding, which is super important. He said you "don't want a photographer that fiddles with their equipment or is slow in the photo process of shooting". There is honestly no lag time when I'm working. I'm always shooting something during our time together.
I also respond in a timely/quickly manner to emails and texts. Although, if I am on a shoot - I will email you back and let you know that I'll get back to you later that night or the next day. I can chat 7 days a week with you.
I love to do volunteer photography work for women's and children's issues for our local community. I'm a proud supporter of CASA of Monterey County. AIM for youth mental health, Monterey Museum of Art, Rancho Cielo and the National Charity League and of course my two girl's high schools.

Heidi Borgia was amazing from our first contact - she was floating down the river in Tahoe, and responding to my email inquiry! She asked if she could get back to us in a few days, and we couldn't be more thrilled that we waited! Heidi was awesome from the moment we met - we knew she was the perfect photographer for our special day. She was extremely flexible, had some great ideas and we were so excited to work with her. The day of our wedding Heidi went above and beyond - she was right on time, took some wonderful before photos and split her time between the girls and guys perfectly. Even with the rain during the ceremony and photos, Heidi went right along with us and did not miss a moment of capturing our wedding day! She was the best sport, her assistants kept her equipment dry, and she was so easy going despite the weather - and we could not have asked for better photos in the rain! Heidi spent a great deal of time in editing and compiling our photos, and video slideshow - we were extremely impressed with the quality and details in each and every single photo. Our slideshow movie was absolutely perfect, and gives us the chance to relive our day every time we watch it! We just loved working with Heidi and are so glad she was part of our special day - we would recommend Heidi time and time again to anyone in the Monterey area, and can't wait to work with her again!Sent on 01/17/2017

Heidi was amazing to work with! She was always quick to respond to anything (text/call/email) and was very flexible. During our wedding, she was able to capture every moment beautifully and took top quality photos. She was very easy to work with and got all the photos we requested and many more.

We had the perfect day for our wedding, and it was that much more special because of Heidi! Not only did our photos turn out great, but we also had a great time with Heidi!!
Quick disclaimer - Heidi is my wife BUT she does fantastic work. I have had the honor of working with her on dozens of weddings. There are a lot of photographers that have the technical talent (as she does - and she is ALWAYS studying on how to make her work even better), but she has something much, much more. When she works with a wedding group, she has such a great joy and you can tell how much she loves her work. She has just the right amount of control to make sure things run smoothly and since she has some event planning experience, she always knows what to do. Her photos help tell a story - which I think is beautiful.
