There's a moment at almost every wedding that nobody plans for. A glance, a laugh, a grandmother wiping her eyes in the back row. These are the moments I came to photograph — the ones that happen between the posed shots, the ones that tell the real story of who you are as a couple.

I've been photographing weddings along the California coast since 2012, and what keeps me passionate after 13+ years is that no two couples are the same. Every wedding I shoot has its own personality, its own rhythm, its own magic — and my job is to honor that rather than impose something generic onto it.

My approach is documentary at heart. I blend into the background, move quietly through your day, and stay ready for the moments that can't be recreated. I'm not going to line everyone up and shout directions. I'm going to watch, anticipate, and be in the right place when something real happens.

What makes a wedding special isn't the decorations or the venue — it's the people. The way your dad holds it together until he doesn't. The kids on the dance floor who have no idea what a wedding is but are having the time of their lives. The moment you finally exhale after saying "I do." These are the frames I'm chasing all day.

I've had the privilege of photographing weddings in the Santa Cruz redwoods, on cliffs above the Pacific in Big Sur, in the cobblestone streets of Carmel-by-the-Sea, and on quiet beaches at golden hour with just two people and a promise. Every location brings something new, and I bring the same care and attention to each one.

When couples look at their galleries, I want them to feel like they're living their wedding day all over again — not just looking at pretty pictures, but feeling the emotions, remembering the details, reliving the love. That's what I work toward with every single wedding I photograph, and it's what has kept me doing this work for over a decade.
