Rassawek's expansive rolling hills, vineyards, ponds, and forest, offer three unique event spaces which cover a range of budgets and wedding sizes:
The Hilltop, an exemplary location for a smaller wedding, is a budget friendly option that can hold up to 50 guests. The featured ceremony gazebo overlooking the hills of our vineyard and a charming white barn for the reception are the perfect hosts for your intimate wedding.
Cherokee Waterfront, nestled amongst the Chardonnay vines, includes use of a 2,000 square foot log cabin, quaint greenhouse perfect for cocktail hour, and a 40 x 60 peak pole tent for your ceremony and reception space. Our newest venue on the property, The Pavilion, is located near our train station overlooking the hills of the Piedmont. This 7,000 square foot building boasts large glass windows and doors giving you almost 360 views of the surrounding landscape. Step just outside onto the spacious wrap around brick patio, and take in the views while enjoying a signature cocktail out of the original Short Pump garage bar or serve guests ice cream sandwiches from the quaint country grocery store. Hosting up to 180 guests, this space is our largest and most unique venue on the property where southern charm meets modern industrial .
Unique Features
All of the structures and buildings on the Rassawek property were once doomed for demolition, after being relocated to our property, they were refurbished onsite to create one of the most unique wedding venues in the area. At Rassawek, our restored cabins and train cars are what set us apart. With the weekend package add on option, couples get exclusive use of the entire property as well as overnight stays in our cabins and converted train cars that can accommodate 25 guests to offer a full immersive experience into life at Rassawek.

Rassawek's Annual Spring Jubilee and wine festival highlights the kickoff of the summer season. With several local wineries from the Central Virginia and surrounding regions joining together to bring you the best of Virginia wine in one beautiful location. The Spring Jubilee is the perfect time to experience all that Rassawek has to offer. As you travel through the property meeting local artisans and demonstrators, guests will also be able to enjoy the expansive views of rolling hills, Bateau rides on the breezy waterfronts, and exclusive access to two of our unique wedding and event sites.
This family friendly festival will be a unique event for people of all ages with many varieties of exhibits, demonstrations, music, food, drinks, entertainment and more. This festival will be held in a different area than the Spring Jubilee so festival guests will be able to experience two unique festivals at Rassawek. The Autumn Festival is run by our non-profit entity Rassawek Ventures. Our mission at Rassawek Ventures is to preserve traditional skills and crafts to educate and inspire our future. Our goal at Rassawek Ventures is to bring awareness around vocational education and to see the value of working with your hands. We want to show future generations that a career in trades can be a rewarding and fulfilling path to take. A portion of the proceeds from this festival will go towards creating opportunities for individuals wishing to attend a trade or technical school. During the Autumn Festival guests can expect to see many of these trade skills that we wish to preserve come alive through demonstrations and exhibits. There will be onsite blacksmithing, carpentry, masonry, mechanic, lineman, sawmilling, equipment operators and more demonstrating, educating, and promoting their trade with the public. Guests can also expect to see other exhibits such as our newest area, Rassawek Station, which features a small train car village, lodge cabin and general store. Antique cars and tractors will be on display throughout the festival.
There will be plenty of entertainment at the festival including live bluegrass music, a truck and tractor pull managed by Dragon Motorsports, helicopter rides and crane rides. Kids will have an abundance of activities to participate in including a haybale maze, pumpkin patch, interactive painting, farm chores, live farm animals provided by Goochland 4-H, barrel train rides and more! There will be plenty of food and drink available for guests including multiple food trucks and food vendors. We will also have three beer tents, a couple wineries & a cidery for purchase by the glass or the bottle.

Jessica started working at Rassawek several years ago. After having her own wedding at the property she was the perfect fit to enhance the wedding program at Rassawek Vineyards. Since then she has helped several couples make their special day all that they dreamed of.
Her attention to detail and friendly manner make her a joy to work with.
Jessica also helps out with the other events that are hosted at the site annually including the ever popular Spring Jubilee and Autmun Festival.
