Hiring Katelyn was the best investment we could’ve made for our wedding. We started working with her as a full-time planner in July of 2021 for our wedding in October of 2022. By the end, I told all of my friends “if we could only have 3 people at our wedding, it would be me, my husband, and Katelyn.”


Her expertise in the planning process was invaluable, especially in helping us discern what was normal or abnormal in the wedding process. So many vendors are so pricey, and Katelyn came up with clever ideas to cut costs where we could. She suggested ceremony flowers that could be easily moved to our sweetheart table for decoration. She thought to move all of the flowers from our rehearsal dinner into my bridal suite so we had them while getting ready and on our wedding night. She thought to ensure the caterers gave us to-go boxes of extra food so we could eat it in the hotel after. She’s creative and I believe saved us much more money than she charges us in the long run.

Additionally, Katelyn is incredibly dedicated and creative. Our band was great performing, but their communication was terrible. Katelyn sent over 200 emails just to secure a pianist at our ceremony. If I had been in her shoes, I would have given up after 3. I’m a massive Taylor Swift fan, and when our band revealed less than a week before our wedding that they would not play any songs, Katelyn had the brilliant idea of doing a “Taylor Swift dance party” during their 20 minute break, where the band set up a Spotify playlist of all of my favorite songs.

Katelyn also put together and transported all of our signage and most of our decor. What would have cost $400 on Etsy, Katelyn made for the cost of the materials. She already had many decor items from other weddings that she let us reuse as well.

Beyond her skill as a wedding planner, Katelyn is incredible at conflict resolution and crisis management. I would hop on a zoom call completely distressed about family drama, or a vendor increasing prices, or my personal life, and by the end of the call Katelyn had a succinct plan to fix everything, or helped us view the disappointments from a new perspective. Truly more helpful than any therapist I’ve been to.

I can’t praise Katelyn enough. I could write for another hour about all of the tiny disasters that were averted because of Peonies and Pearls, but I think Wedding Wire does have a word limit.

Katelyn is amazing! Look no further for a professional, friendly and thoughtful wedding planner. She made our wedding year feel much more seamless. All of the planning and details take so much time to implement, but my husband and I always felt like we were in great hands with Peonies & Pearls. She replies quickly, is extremely organized and has the ability to see big picture while remaining detail oriented. We are so grateful that we prepared for our big day with the very best! Even our family and friends were so impressed with her work ethic and excellent service!

Katelyn is an amazing, thoughtful planner! We utilized her month-of coordination services and she was amazing. She is detail-oriented, calm, and focused. Her personality is everything you would want in a planner. Any issue that occurred, she handled swiftly and with grace. I would recommend her to anyone!
