I cannot recommend Occasions Events & Design enough! Blake Herrera and his assistant Frida made our wedding day the best stress-free day ever! Having Blake working behind the scenes was the best gift I gave myself and having him as the contact person for all of my other vendors took a lot off of my to do list. They did an exceptional job of setting up the decorations without my having to micro-manage every detail. Blake also worked well with my venue event planner to get us space to store the decorations after the wedding. When Frida followed me around so she could hold my glasses while we took pictures all the while handing me water to stay hydrated, I truly felt like a princess. I truly wish I could hire them to be my everyday assistant!

I truly don’t know how to adequately describe how extraordinary Blake Herrera and the entire Occasions and Co. team were for our wedding weekend. Five stars simply aren’t enough.

We planned an entire wedding weekend in Carlton Landing, Oklahoma. This included a Friday welcome dinner, a Saturday morning kids’ party, our ceremony and reception Saturday evening, and a Sunday farewell breakfast. From the beginning, Blake understood exactly what we wanted: something beautiful and special, but also warm, joyful, colorful, relaxed and genuinely fun. He took our ideas and made them better than I could have imagined.

One of the things I appreciated most about Blake was the incredible level of trust I developed in him throughout the planning process. He listened carefully, remembered every detail, understood what mattered most to us, and consistently followed through. By the time our wedding weekend arrived, I trusted him completely. And for someone who had spent so much time and energy planning every little detail, being able to hand everything over with that level of confidence was an extraordinary gift.

Of course there were occasional vendor hiccups and unexpected situations along the way. What impressed me was how quickly, professionally and thoughtfully Blake handled every single one. He was always proactive, responsive and solution-oriented, but also genuinely caring. He never made me feel that a problem was a burden or something I needed to worry about. He simply took care of it, often before I even knew there was an issue. I always felt that he was looking out for our best interests and that our wedding was as important to him as it was to us.

And then there was the wedding itself. The flowers created by their in house floral designer Tracy were absolutely spectacular, the tables were gorgeous, and every detail felt thoughtful and intentional. Walking into each event and seeing everything we had talked about for months brought to life so beautifully was incredible.

Just as importantly, Blake assembled an amazing team in Frida, Cody, Kody and Alex. They worked unbelievably hard all in the extreme Oklahoma heat, and were kind, calm, helpful and seemingly everywhere whenever we needed them. I am so grateful to every one of them.

Blake has a remarkable ability to remain calm while taking care of absolutely everything. He is incredibly organized and detail-oriented while also being warm, personable and genuinely invested in the people he's working with. He protected our experience so that my husband and I could actually be present at our own wedding instead of worrying about logistics. I never wondered whether the tables were being set, whether a vendor knew where to go, whether guests were being taken care of, or what was happening next. I got to get married, spend time with the people we love and dance all night. Blake took care of the rest.

On Sunday, I got very emotional saying goodbye to him because after so many months of planning together, I realized how much I was going to miss him. That probably says more than anything else I could write.

Blake is talented, creative, hardworking and thoughtful, but he is also just a genuinely wonderful person. Our wedding weekend was everything we hoped it would be, and so much of that is because of Blake and his team. Hiring Occasions and Co. was one of the best decisions we made. I would choose Blake again a thousand times over.

Blake and his team were so professional. I can’t thank them enough for making our dream wedding come true! Every part of the planning was fun and exciting and I felt supported every step of the way. His team treats you like family and their professional is top tier.

My husband and I worked with Blake for almost a year and a half and we are so grateful to have picked Occasions & Co because without them it wouldn’t have been the same! The decorations were everything we had wanted and it was easy to trust Blake to make our vision happen. Thank you for everything!

I came to Blake with a very specific theme and plan. He created a custom service package based on my needs, and tailored his work to make execution of my plan seamless.

My daughter ended up having a medical crisis, and Blake ran interference for me, working with my vendors to pivot when we needed. His diplomacy and tact kept my daughter’s privacy a priority while still arriving at a mutual plan between the vendors.

My vendors were new to working with Blake and the O&C team, but have all raved about the professionalism of Occasions and Co. in our wrap up correspondence. If both clients and professional peers speak highly of your work, that really means something.

From the very beginning, Blake went above and beyond to make our vow renewal everything we dreamed of and more. He was organized, professional, attentive, and somehow managed to keep everything running smoothly while also making us feel completely taken care of.

Planning a Vegas glam event with so many moving pieces could have easily become overwhelming, but Blake made the entire process feel effortless. He handled details behind the scenes, kept everyone on schedule, and made sure Bryan and I were able to truly enjoy our day.

What stood out most was how genuinely invested he was in making our event special. You can tell this is more than just a job to him. His passion, calm demeanor, and ability to anticipate needs made such a difference. Several guests even commented on how amazing everything flowed throughout the evening.

We are beyond grateful for everything he did to help create such an unforgettable celebration for our 10-year vow renewal. We could not have asked for a better coordinator and would recommend him again and again.

I truly could not have picked a better coordinator to do my wedding!! He took all of the crazy ideas that only made sense in my head a reality! The day of was so much smooth and easy as a very anxious bride! I never knew of any drama or problems with other vendors! His team had the sweetest compliments to the bridal party and parents, Ashley was AMAZING and worked her tail off to help in every way possible, even with the craziest of things, like entertaining my 9 month old baby!!!

Are you still debating whether or not you need/want to hire a wedding coordinator? Well, allow me to paint a picture that may help you make your decision. It's true when they say that something will inevitably go wrong on your wedding day. It happens! It's a huge undertaking with lots of moving parts and lots of people involved and it's easy for something big or small to slip through the cracks. But would you rather be the bride frantically rushing to figure out who to send to the store to find a suit because the best man's brother accidentally brought the wrong suit that was a completely different color than the groom and groomsmen... or be the bride who is happily getting ready in the other room, none-the-wiser, and doesn't even know that this misstep happened, was entirely avoided, and flawlessly resolved to the point that you couldn't even tell a difference between the suits until after you and your new husband have said your "I-do's" and the ceremony has already happened? Because this was a huge thing that actually happened during the morning of mine and my husband's wedding day. Blake, Frida, and everyone on the team that had a helping hand in the day were the ones there to swoop in and make sure that even with this, everything still ran SEAMLESSLY, and I, the bride, hadn't a worry in the world! Without them? I can't imagine the panic I might have felt.

Day-of aside, leading up to the day, my now husband and I worked closely with Blake and left every meeting with smiles on our faces and weights lifted off our shoulders. Blake is a true professional who excels at his craft with care, kindness, attention to detail, and an uncanny ability to see and execute the vision you have for your day.

As many others have stated in other similar reviews already, just as he did with everyone, Blake answered all questions thoroughly and in a timely manner, he was the organization my chaotic bride brain needed, he was understanding of concerns and quelled the fears with actionable plans and comforting words, and he and his team truly went above and beyond anything I could have expected.

On the day, Frida was by our side and saw to our every need sometimes even before we knew we had a need! She was a constant, comforting presence, guiding us through the day and ensuring things ran smoothly according to the timeline that we had put together with Blake. Occasions & Co. were the support system that we knew we wanted from the very first interaction, and we couldn’t be happier having worked with them. They did everything and more with smiles and grace. You will not regret hiring Blake and his team!!

Oh my gosh where do I even start?! Blake and his team are AMAZING!! I had an idea of what I wanted and needed someone to help make my dream come true and Blake did that and so much more. I didn't even know there was a mistake with the catering until later and it had all been handled by Blake and his team. I was so grateful for them and all they did in handling everything. They were always so lovely, so professional, and made sure my wedding was exactly what I wanted. I've always heard that weddings cost a lot and to not get a planner to save money, but if I had to do it again I would hire Blake and his team over and over again. They are worth it.

I can't say enough about Blake and Frida! We hired them for a day of coordination. And from start to finish, they were extremely professional, communicative, and really helped take the stress off of me as mother of the bride and my daughter... I would definitely recommend them and would use them again, this time I would hire them for full coordination from start to finish!!
