We cannot say enough great things about La Cour Venue. First, the property was breathtakingly beautiful. It had everything we wanted: an outdoor ceremony area that leads to a wide wooden arch surrounded by trees, a courtyard that astonishes you with brick walls and string lights, and a dining hall with a high ceiling, more brick walls, and dark wooden farm tables. Their wedding package strikes the right balance between all-inclusive and DIY. We loved that we didn't have to rent tables and chairs but at the same time have the flexibility to hire our own caterers and bring our own cake. We also loved that you have the option of having your ceremony and/or reception either indoor or outdoor.

Perhaps even more deserving of praises than the venue itself was its owner, Amy Teague. From the moment we had our first meeting to the lockdown announcement due to COVID-19 and finally our wedding day, Amy was professional and accommodating. She is one of the sweetest and kindest people I have ever met. From the beginning, you get the sense that she thoroughly understands the “business” aspect of weddings, but more importantly, you can tell that her heart is in bringing dream weddings to life. She genuinely cares about all her brides and does what she can to lessen the load for them. When the pandemic hit, Amy responded to all my messages promptly and even helped me and my now-husband process everything as realistically as possible. She even suggested that we reserved an “emergency date” – with NO extra fees – should the wedding ban not be lifted by our date, which was May 29th. The day before Governor Abbott lifted the ban, I, my sister, my day-of coordinator, and Amy met at the venue for final planning and to develop a contingency plan. We talked about cutting down our guest list, establishing social distancing guidelines for attendees, and other issues that may come up in case the governor did lift the restrictions. When the governor allowed weddings the following day, we were practically ready to go.

While we hired our own photographer, we ended up hiring two of La Cour’s preferred vendors: Blue Mesa Grill and HD Liquid Catering. We did not hire a DJ, since our wedding was small, and we really wanted to create a more DIY and intimate feel. Though not required, I highly recommend choosing some of La Cour’s preferred vendors for easier and “almost” stress-free planning: (1) they will have already worked at the venue and thus will be familiar with its policies; (2) La Cour will already have their insurance on file; and (3) you can guarantee they have great reviews and will do an excellent job at your wedding. Because these vendors had great relationships with La Cour, wedding planning during the pandemic became a lot more bearable. We truly felt blessed in the process.

La Cour is best suited for smaller and more intimate weddings. The indoor reception hall fits 130 people, while the outdoor ceremony field fits 150. Our original party had 80 people, so it was perfect for our needs. In the end, we had about 35-40 people in the property. La Cour had a security officer and a venue manager for us on the day of the event; this was included in the package. Location was also a plus: far enough from all the city noise (it is surrounded by farms) yet less than a 10-minute drive from downtown McKinney, hotels, and restaurants.

If this is the kind of wedding you have envisioned, then please consider La Cour Venue. Visit the property; you will not regret it!

I’m just now getting time to write this review. We had our wedding a few months back in autumn of 2021 and we loved having our wedding at La Cour. The space is so beautiful and unique. We had a brunch wedding and had both our ceremony and reception outdoors. The combination of being in the countryside with the trees swaying back and forth, the birds chirping, the musicians singing, and the wonderful vendors who provided a full espresso bar and brunch buffet really set the relaxing vibe that we really wanted for our wedding. Everyone was so nice and tried really hard to make everything feel seamless. Amy’s husband was there on the day of and helped our coordinator with setting up. And Amy was so great with adjusting our rental time to be earlier in the day to make our vision happen. Another great thing is that the venue has a lot of rentals included that are of no additional cost, including the tables and chairs. I also really enjoyed their list of recommended vendors, especially our espresso bar! People loved going there when they first arrived to order a latte or cappuccino. Another thing to mention is that Amy was so great with responding back to you within 24 hours or less. I can’t say that with all vendors I’ve contacted, and I’m sure if you’ve already started wedding planning you would know what I mean, but I never had to worry about La Cour because they were always very responsive.

I could not recommend La Cour Venue enough. Last minute, we decided to book a venue for our "small" Covid wedding. As more people were vaccinated, our guest count grew, and La Cour was always there to accommodate our many last minute changes.
The venue itself is such a beautiful, charming, and picturesque area to have a wedding. All of the areas provided unique photo ops for our many events!
Amy and the rest of her team are so incredibly professional, caring, and responsive! It was exciting for us to host our wedding with La Cour Venue and see the staff just as happy for us. We cannot thank them enough for all the accommodations and good wishes!

La Cour is a dream venue that I can’t recommend enough to anyone that will listen! This was the one and only venue we toured and immediately fell in love with this amazing and unique venue. There are a hundred different things that I loved about La Cour, but I’ll spare you the essay and only highlight the big ones. First and most important - the actual venue! The space is so well thought out - there are three different ceremony locations and lots of mingling space for your guests. We chose the Courtyard for our ceremony after falling in love with the modern and romantic feel of the area. So many of our guests told us how incredible the venue was and how much they loved it. Several straight up said it was the best venue in Dallas that they had been to (which I definitely agree with)! There’s also a variety of different gorgeous locations to take wedding pictures at which is something our photographer raved about. The handmade chairs, tables, and other decor items are absolutely stunning and are so very perfect for the venue. An added bonus - you don’t need linens for the tables! There is also an extensive list of additional items available to use that will not only add the perfect touches to your wedding, but will save you a ton of money as well! Amy and her team are the absolute best and were so easy to work with. With all the changes we had to make due to the pandemic they made everything seamless and were insanely accommodating. We also hired several of the recommended vendors, which made wedding planning wonderfully stress free (outside of COVID). We didn’t have the wedding we originally planned due to the pandemic, but it was the best day we could have ever imagined due in large part to Amy and La Cour!

I know this isn't a review of a wedding, but the venue is absolutely exceptional, so please consider La Cour for any type of event you're looking for!
We celebrated my son's graduation party with our closest friends and extended family at La Cour, and simply couldn't have had a better time. Amy was absolutely wonderful to work with! During our planning meeting, Amy offered several setup suggestions for seating for our special kind of event, so of course the one she recommended worked out great. When we arrived, the tables, lights and atmosphere truly exceeded our expectations! Amy took it upon herself to add several ourdoor games for the younger kids to play together, for no additional charge. It was this kind unexpected touch of class and graciousness you get when working with Amy that really blew us away. We also chose to utilize one of her suggested vendors for an easy fajita meal, and the quality, service and taste were exceptional. Amy and her staff were on site throughout the party, her attention to detail were second to none. She made every possible effort to be sure that nothing would impact my son's celebration in any way. I just cannot say enough good things about Amy and La Cour. Every part of the layout of the building and grounds have been thought through so carefully that she is able to ensure that events of all kinds, and their guests, are comfortable and accomodated flawlessly. One thing I really appreciated is that she asked us what kinds of tables and chairs we'd like to use, for no additional charge. I have already booked my second son's graduation party for 2022, and cannot wait to refer my friends and family to use her venue! Your event will be absolutely amazing if you use La Cour!!

La Cour is the perfect place for smaller weddings. There are so many unique areas to take advantage of and make the place your own. We wanted a place with a cozy, outdoor atmosphere rather than a city feel, but didn't want to have to drive 1-2 hours to find it. Someone told us about La Cour and we couldn't have been happier! You feel like you're out in the country, but in fact you're only 10-15 minutes away from every kind of hotel and restaurant you can think of. And yet, such a peaceful atmosphere there! Amy, the owner, is the sweetest 'lil thing! She made everything easy and stress free (as much as you can make a wedding stress free!). We had the perfect match, outdoor wedding, indoor reception. And we had so many of our guests comment on how they loved the venue. Highly, highly recommend!

I loved this venue when first saw it online and it’s even more amazing in person. Cost is super reasonable and Amy and her staff are amazing! So easy going and loved working with them... anything I had a question about they were so quick to help out!

Amy was a delight to work with, and her venue was perfect for the ceremony and reception we wanted. During the planning process, she was very responsive to our questions, and took the time to ensure we understood all of our options. Many of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was and she made sure that each of our vendors knew exactly where to be to keep things smooth throughout the day! Amy was great at keeping everything low stress for everyone and even went above and beyond by adding things to the space for our guests' enjoyment.
