I cannot recommend Occasions Events & Design enough! Blake Herrera and his assistant Frida made our wedding day the best stress-free day ever! Having Blake working behind the scenes was the best gift I gave myself and having him as the contact person for all of my other vendors took a lot off of my to do list. They did an exceptional job of setting up the decorations without my having to micro-manage every detail. Blake also worked well with my venue event planner to get us space to store the decorations after the wedding. When Frida followed me around so she could hold my glasses while we took pictures all the while handing me water to stay hydrated, I truly felt like a princess. I truly wish I could hire them to be my everyday assistant! -

Blake, Janelle and the team were amazing!
I came to Blake with a very specific theme and plan. He created a custom service package based on my needs, and tailored his work to make execution of my plan seamless.
My daughter ended up having a medical crisis, and Blake ran interference for me, working with my vendors to pivot when we needed. His diplomacy and tact kept my daughter’s privacy a priority while still arriving at a mutual plan between the vendors.
My vendors were new to working with Blake and the O&C team, but have all raved about the professionalism of Occasions and Co. in our wrap up correspondence. If both clients and professional peers speak highly of your work, that really means something.
I can’t recommend Occasions and Co. highly enough! -

From the very beginning, Blake went above and beyond to make our vow renewal everything we dreamed of and more. He was organized, professional, attentive, and somehow managed to keep everything running smoothly while also making us feel completely taken care of.
Planning a Vegas glam event with so many moving pieces could have easily become overwhelming, but Blake made the entire process feel effortless. He handled details behind the scenes, kept everyone on schedule, and made sure Bryan and I were able to truly enjoy our day.
What stood out most was how genuinely invested he was in making our event special. You can tell this is more than just a job to him. His passion, calm demeanor, and ability to anticipate needs made such a difference. Several guests even commented on how amazing everything flowed throughout the evening.
We are beyond grateful for everything he did to help create such an unforgettable celebration for our 10-year vow renewal. We could not have asked for a better coordinator and would recommend him again and again. -

Blake and his crew!
I truly could not have picked a better coordinator to do my wedding!! He took all of the crazy ideas that only made sense in my head a reality! The day of was so much smooth and easy as a very anxious bride! I never knew of any drama or problems with other vendors! His team had the sweetest compliments to the bridal party and parents, Ashley was AMAZING and worked her tail off to help in every way possible, even with the craziest of things, like entertaining my 9 month old baby!!!
Truly cannot recommend Blake and his group enough! It was the best day ❤️ -

Are you still debating whether or not you need/want to hire a wedding coordinator? Well, allow me to paint a picture that may help you make your decision. It's true when they say that something will inevitably go wrong on your wedding day. It happens! It's a huge undertaking with lots of moving parts and lots of people involved and it's easy for something big or small to slip through the cracks. But would you rather be the bride frantically rushing to figure out who to send to the store to find a suit because the best man's brother accidentally brought the wrong suit that was a completely different color than the groom and groomsmen... or be the bride who is happily getting ready in the other room, none-the-wiser, and doesn't even know that this misstep happened, was entirely avoided, and flawlessly resolved to the point that you couldn't even tell a difference between the suits until after you and your new husband have said your "I-do's" and the ceremony has already happened? Because this was a huge thing that actually happened during the morning of mine and my husband's wedding day. Blake, Frida, and everyone on the team that had a helping hand in the day were the ones there to swoop in and make sure that even with this, everything still ran SEAMLESSLY, and I, the bride, hadn't a worry in the world! Without them? I can't imagine the panic I might have felt.
Day-of aside, leading up to the day, my now husband and I worked closely with Blake and left every meeting with smiles on our faces and weights lifted off our shoulders. Blake is a true professional who excels at his craft with care, kindness, attention to detail, and an uncanny ability to see and execute the vision you have for your day.
As many others have stated in other similar reviews already, just as he did with everyone, Blake answered all questions thoroughly and in a timely manner, he was the organization my chaotic bride brain needed, he was understanding of concerns and quelled the fears with actionable plans and comforting words, and he and his team truly went above and beyond anything I could have expected.
On the day, Frida was by our side and saw to our every need sometimes even before we knew we had a need! She was a constant, comforting presence, guiding us through the day and ensuring things ran smoothly according to the timeline that we had put together with Blake. Occasions & Co. were the support system that we knew we wanted from the very first interaction, and we couldn’t be happier having worked with them. They did everything and more with smiles and grace. You will not regret hiring Blake and his team!! -

Oh my gosh where do I even start?! Blake and his team are AMAZING!! I had an idea of what I wanted and needed someone to help make my dream come true and Blake did that and so much more. I didn't even know there was a mistake with the catering until later and it had all been handled by Blake and his team. I was so grateful for them and all they did in handling everything. They were always so lovely, so professional, and made sure my wedding was exactly what I wanted. I've always heard that weddings cost a lot and to not get a planner to save money, but if I had to do it again I would hire Blake and his team over and over again. They are worth it. -

I could not - and would not - have made it through my wedding without Blake and Frida. Hiring Occasions & Co. as my day-of coordinator was hands down one of the best decisions I made for our wedding.
From the start, Blake went above and beyond. He checked in regularly, answered every question I had, and made sure every detail was in order leading up to the big day. Every email was answered promptly, every change I made was met with positivity, and I always felt like he was just a call or message away. He created a perfect day-of timeline and coordinated seamlessly with every single vendor. The moment Blake took over communication, I felt an instant wave of relief.
And then there’s Frida - my GIRL. From the moment she arrived at the venue until we drove away in our getaway car, she was right by my side, making sure everything ran flawlessly. Somehow, she managed to be everywhere at once - setting up, coordinating with vendors, troubleshooting, and yet still making me feel like I was her only priority. My husband and I always had a drink in hand, our needs were anticipated before we even voiced them, and everything around us came together effortlessly. When a couple of vendors I had booked separately dropped the ball, Frida handled it with grace and professionalism, making sure everything stayed on track. She was a dream to work with, and I truly owe so much of our perfect day to her.
If you’re reading this, do yourself a favor and hire Occasions & Co. Our wedding day was everything we hoped for - and more - because of them. I’d hire them again in a heartbeat for any future event. If I could go back in time, the only thing I’d do differently would be to hire them for full-service planning from the start! ❤️ -

We hired Occasions Events & Design as our month-of wedding coordinator, and we truly could not have asked for a better experience. From the moment Blake stepped in, he brought a sense of calm, organization, and care that allowed us to actually enjoy our wedding day.
He didn’t just execute the timeline perfectly, he went above and beyond in every possible way. Whether it was handling last-minute changes, communicating with vendors, or making sure we had everything we needed (often before we even realized we needed it), he was always ten steps ahead.
His attention to detail, professionalism, and genuine kindness made such a difference, not just to us, but to our families and bridal party too. So many of our guests commented on how seamless everything felt, and that’s 100% thanks to them.
We are endlessly grateful and would recommend Blake and his team without hesitation to any couple looking for someone they can trust completely with one of the most important days of their life. -

To say they took care of us for our wedding is an understatement! Blake and the Occasions DFW team went above and beyond to make our wedding such a spectacular day! They do the most - first ones there, last to leave, timeline planning, seating chart, responding quickly to all my questions, unlimited phone calls, coordinating all the vendors in the weeks leading up to the wedding so I could have less stress, and making my vision come to life. I had absolutely nothing to be stressed about on the day of the wedding! Also, Blake made sure to take care of us during the entire day and night, making sure we had drinks at all times and moved around the schedule as necessary. I can assure you that Occasions is one of the greatest decisions we made for the wedding. Such a great team and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a coordinator for their wedding!

Occasions Events and Designs have done nothing but exceed expectations! Blake has been so incredibly responsive from the beginning, responding to even the smallest of questions within 24 hours (but commonly within only minutes to a few hours). Frida and Shea who we worked with the day of the wedding were so patient, calm, and I could not be more thankful to how much they helped direct everyone (including myself!) throughout the entire day. These people are truly professionals and so pleasant to work with. They made sure that everything ran as smoothly as possible with no hiccups! They truly helped to make our special day perfect! -

Amazing Coordinators!
We hired Occasions for Day of Coordination. Blake was always quick to respond to our questions and available for advice. It was such a relief to have a professional managing the vendors, installations and wedding party. Frida, Lead Coordinator and her assistant, Shea, were our coordinators for the day. Blake still stopped in to check on us. All three were delightful to work with. They were professional and managed all the details efficiently. -

Blake and his team are the best in the industry, hands down. We booked him for a full wedding package. He made sure everything was perfect for us. During the planning process, he was always easy to reach and very patient with our many questions. He was super communicative throughout the entire engagement period. He gave great recommendations for vendors too. Even if we decided to go with other vendors, he was extremely professional and took everything in-stride. He was highly organized: he kept detailed notes for all our requests and meetings and ensured we were always aware of how things were progressing by using a Trello board, which was extremely assuring! I’m a Type A perfectionist, so I was worried about leaving everything in someone else’s hands but it was SO SO easy to relax because I knew he was taking care of it. I couldn’t recommend a more competent wedding planner. If you’re on the fence or even just starting your search for a wedding planner, I can confidently say your search is done! You found the best! Blake and his team won’t let you down! -

I was hesitant to hire any planning services because I was worried about trusting a stranger with such a big event in my life, and I tend to be be very particular and like to feel in-control. However, I could not recommend Occasions enough. We hired Blake for month-of coordination, which wound up being exactly when I was losing my mind and needed help the most! I am stunned that we got Blake and his team with their skill level and amazing service for the price that we did. They were our angels the entire month before the wedding and on the day. We had an entire team of 3 catering to our every need. They asked lots of amazing questions to get to know us and our personalities and very clearly used that to guide how they managed and handled everything. They managed all vendors and timelines leading up to the day (we had already hired everyone and Blake took over communication), they set up ALL of the decor (my family and I DIY-ed almost everything), and they executed my vision perfectly. Blake attended our final meeting with the venue and DJ and was polite, sitting back to let me lead, but pushed back and supported me to make sure I got exactly what I wanted when it was needed. In cases where decisions needed to be made and I felt overwhelmed, Blake made suggestions and made the decisions feel lighter. I emailed and texted Blake thoughts and vendor needs at the most random times and he kept track of everything and made sure to remind me (so gently and sweetly) when I was supposed to submit something. Blake even picked up all of our decor and our alcohol order for us before the wedding to deliver to the venue on wedding day. The whole experience went so smoothly and I cannot imagine having done it without Blake. We even had an unexpected security lockdown in the neighborhood during the actual wedding…and the Occasions team made sure not only that we were safe, but that only the critical people knew and the party kept going. I had no idea til my mom told me the next day, and I had a complete worry-free blast. Blake and his team are the best and made my wedding a dream. If you are on the fence, don’t be. Hiring OED was the best wedding decision that we made. -

A close friend referred Blake to my family. Instantly, I knew that he would be great as he was from our hometown Burkburnett. Blake was able to bring our vision to life. At first , I thought fresh flowers would be out of our budget. However, I am so glad that we chose the fresh flowers. They looked amazing. The toss bouquet was even beautiful. Long story...Blake was our wedding coordinator and he absolutely far exceeded our expectations. Blake offered full service planning at a great price and we hit it off right away; so I hired him! It was the best choice I made when it came to planning my wedding and I was so relieved to have him help. Blake did pretty much all the planning and had great recommendations and designs. His table designs were beautiful, he was very thorough, organized, and quick to respond to texts, emails, and phone calls. I highly recommend Blake and his team for your event.

He responded to any calls or emails immediately, he was very easy to work with and tailored a perfect, short and sweet ceremony. He made it exactly what we wanted! Blake had several resources and references for us to help build the ceremony that we wanted - having no clue where to start, this was extremely helpful.
