Our experience in hosting our wedding reception at Le Meridien far exceeded our wildest dreams for what our reception would be! Ashley was indispensable in her role as our day of coordinator on behalf of the hotel. She helped us ensure all of our ducks were in a row before the #bigday, and once the day arrived she saw to it that everything ran smoothly. We loved that they set up a separate room to enjoy a meal with just the two of us, and then they moved the sweetheart table into the dining room while we did our first dance. The food was a huge hit, from the passed hors d'oeuvres and cheese display to the dinner itself. They were even able to accommodate our vegan friends on relatively short notice. The bar selection was excellent, and they helped us design some delightful signature cocktails. The venue itself felt very fancy, and our guests LOVED dancing on the outdoor courtyard all through the warm summer night. They had plenty of rooms available for our guests at a great price for Boston in the summer, which was super helpful because most of our guests were coming from out of town. We had debated somewhat about whether to hold our reception in or out of the city, and we are so happy that we chose to get married in an area surrounded by activities for our guests as well as our ideal after party location (Havana Club in Central Square). The brunch the following day was a super fun way to cap off the weekend, and the price was right. It was convenient to take photos on the Common and hop over to the venue. It didn’t hurt that this was a Marriott property, so we received a ton of points that translated into some luxurious stays on our honeymoon.

Run, don't walk, to Le Meridien, Cambridge-MIT to have your wedding. Seriously, everyone is still raving about our son's wedding two months ago with comments such as: "so beautiful"; "everything was perfect" (the outdoor wedding on the rooftop garden followed by served and stationary appetizers during the hour long cocktail hour); "the food was far above usual wedding fare"; "the dancing was so much fun on the good size dance floor surrounded by round tables so everyone was either dancing or enjoying watching the dancers"; "every part of the wedding just flowed flawlessly," and on and on. Many windows made the dancing room a delight.
We live on the West Coast, so knew we were in for a difficult year of planning for an East Coast wedding. We were wrong. Angela Pandolfi took care of us from our first contact all the way through the wedding. She was ALWAYS available by phone or email, plus in person during our trips to Boston to prepare. She is so delightful, so fun to work with. She doesn't use the word "no," just helps steer us to the right solutions. She throws in personal treats that consistently made us feel like valued customers. She gave us however much time that we needed, always with a gracious smile and laugh which kept us on the right path through the year, and I am not the easiest person to please.
We used the pergola for the ceremony and were allowed to bring in our own backdrop with sprays of flowers that had to be hung from the top. We could arrange the entire event: chairs, walking in, ceremony, microphone. This was followed by the cocktail hour in the same outdoor area: delightful atmosphere and scrumptious appetizers.
Then into the ballroom for the meal, which we had had a most thorough tasting for a few months previously, that included tasting for the wines, appetizers, champagne, salad, main dish selections, and side dishes. If we didn't like a selection we had made, we could taste other choices.
We had our own florist come in, but also did some or our own decorating, especially in the almost all glass foyer between the outdoor garden and the ballroom. Guests could walk around looking at all the framed photos of the bride and groom from their growing up years through college years to the present.
We took pre-wedding photos outside just across the street in a lovely park as well as in different interesting areas of the hotel.
We ordered the cake from a bakery recommended by Angela, and it was perfect.
The staff serving, waiting on all the guests was as gentle, kind, caring, smiling as could be. Again, professional in every way, making everyone feel at ease with no worries.
We hired a DJ recommended by Angela (She always had a list of names from which to choose, and she has excellent taste.), who was really good and definitely kept the dance floor crowded with happy, joyous dancers.
What else can I say: Angela feels like part of our family, and everyone we dealt with at Le Meridien went above and beyond expectations. Kristen Tusini did everything and more for us in booking a set of rooms and helping everyone navigate setting up their plans, especially those coming from the West Coast. She made it all easy for us to get everyone happily situated in the hotel.
We also had late night snacks set up, which was pounced upon by the hungry dancers, devouring huge soft pretzels, gourmet pizzas, etc. We had an open bar, which kept up with all the thirsty guests.
So, I could not ask for more. We are still floating around gloating and exhilarated that our son and his bride had their dream wedding, where all family members and guests could relax, enjoy, partake in their special evening.
I wrote all this because i want others to have a similar experience.

We did our research in terms of venues, and we had three finalists: Le Meridien, the UMass Club and 2101 Commonwealth. It was a difficult decision, but we went with Le Meridien mostly because of Angela Pandolfi's incredible professionalism.

Angela shone through from our first meeting to the end of the wedding day. She came at our first meeting with a large folder that had everything - all the options, suggestions for vendors, a long checklist etc. She helped us distill lots of decisions in a transparent, straightforward way and we really appreciated her help.

Another high point was the food: we were very happy with the tasting, at which point the chef did a wonderful job, but we still had some suggestions on selections, sauces and such. Our suggestions were implemented and at the actual wedding pretty most people commented on how incredible the food was!

Finally, we really appreciated that Angela came to take care of the last details on the day of our wedding (a Saturday, 4 PM - 10 PM), on her day off. All the staff is professional, but we felt even more comfortable with her reassuring presence around.

In brief: if you read this, go with the most professional people you find. In the Boston area there are lots and lots of incredible spaces (so many hotels, restaurants, museums, marinas) but they're not always staffed by the best of the best. Le Meridien actually is, which makes it a fine choice. Angela Pandolfi in particular is great, and we've been very happy.

Our great day went by very quickly, and marvelously well!

You rent the entire 3rd floor of this venue for the day, giving you access to two different ballrooms, a large room for the wedding party to assemble/relax in before, and a beautiful courtyard for the ceremony itself. We were matched with the catering director who also acted as our wedding planner. Angela was detail oriented, responsive, and creative, helping us plan a great day using her extensive experience. Additional perks: there are two parks on the street that are great for pictures, you're right by Central Square if you want to keep the party going after, and the bride and groom get the Presidential Suite free on the night of the wedding! Highly, highly recommend Le Meridien!

Great indoor-outdoor venue, great food. Everyone had a blast!

Excellent experience all around with rooms and staff. Even though the bar in the lobby was closed when we returned to the hotel, the bartender got us some crackers and ginger ale for a member of our party that was ill.

Angela has been an amazing help! We were having a lot of trouble finding a venue that would fit into our budget and our image of our wedding day. Le Meridien is one of those rare finds that is both beautiful and affordable and comes with a lot of perks! I am so very happy to have found a venue that is flexible, beautiful, and affordable!

I cannot imagine a better team working on my wedding. The value is wonderful for what you get and the team is flexible and cares a lot about making you happy on your wedding day. The hotel is well maintained and beautiful. We had an outdoor wedding in early September at sundown with the beautiful lights strung above. Setting was perfect, food delicious and staff super friendly and accommodating. Thank you Angela and team!!

No words can express how special my daughters wedding was this past Saturday night. When the responses to pictures posted on Facebook came in several of them described them as magical. The Rooftop Garden setting was truly special and no detail was left unnoticed. Angela, Max and Jarod are the consummate professionals and I will never be able to thank them enough for making my daughters wedding day everything that we envisioned and more.
