Castle Manor Inn can accommodate parties of up to 130 wedding guests. The Bistro Restaurant on the property is an ideal setting for family gatherings, rehearsal dinners, and brunches. The restaurant boasts three dining rooms, all connecting and adorned with an intimate fireplace. Individually, the rooms can host between 15 and 20 guests. Amazing venue

Beautiful Venue, Amazing Staff! Queer Friendly!!!

Castle Manor Inn is an absolute hidden gem if you're looking to get married in the Gloucester area. We wanted a venue that was reasonably priced, within 2 hours of our home, could hold our ceremony and reception, and was friendly to the fact we are a queer couple. While they are not right on the water, the event deck has a beautiful view of the marshes and you're literally a 2 minute drive from the coastline (we were able to leave to take photos on the beach and be back at the venue before cocktail hour was over). The manor itself is lovely with plenty of character for an old building. The food was also amazing! From the tasting, to the actual dinner it was all so delicious. We had a few harder to accommodate food allergies and these guests were given their own beautiful plates of mushroom risotto which is far above the sad salad most places would have offered instead. Their head chef is truly one of a kind and introduced himself to us even when we were first touring the place. From the event coordinator Kaylyn to the hotel and waitstaff everyone was professional, friendly, and excited to celebrate with us. They truly made us feel like they cared about our wedding day and not at all like we were just another event being held in their space. We also stayed in the Castle Suite and were extremely comfortable in our room. The staff even took the time to change out the decorations (ones that usually said "Mr. & Mrs.") in the room to make sure we felt welcomed as a queer couple. It was little touches like this that truly made us and our guests feel cared for all weekend!

Beautiful Wedding!

Our wedding at the Castle Manor Inn was just beautiful and perfect in every way! The venue offered a quiet, calming atmosphere with terrific views! It was a one stop shop for ceremony, reception, and accommodations for out of town guests. From the very start of planning, wedding coordinator Kaylyn and executive chef Dan made the process stress free. They were both super responsive and extremely accommodating even after some change requests (specifically moving the location of ceremony/cocktail). Chef Dan even agreed to plate the dinners for our guests, instead of serving buffet style. The hors d'oeuvres and main courses were all delicious. We offered Short Ribs, Baked Haddock, and Stuffed Chicken. Guests raved about the short ribs and bacon wrapped scallops! We received many calls in the weeks following the wedding from guests telling us it was one of the best weddings they had ever been to. We may be bias, but we have to agree!

Lovely, romantic, perfection, easy!

Our experience working with the Castle Manor Inn was AMAZING! Kaylyn takes care of everything for you every step of the way as well as Dan the Executive Chef. They are both SUCH nice people!! The staff here are so incredibly nice, helpful and go out of their way to make you feel welcomed and at home. Communication with Kaylyn was an absolute BREEZE and she responded with all questions almost immediately. Super helpful! The whole experience truly was wonderful. 10/10 would recommend!
Somethings that we appreciated:
1) Transparency-no surprise pricing or price gauging. Very straight forward from the start with pricing and menu pricing, etc.
2) Ease! they take care of everything, food, linens, set up, break down, bar tending, keeping the event running smoothly and timely
3) Flexibility! they are so flexible! for example, right before the ceremony started, it started to rain pretty heavily. they easily pivoted and transitioned everything inside, under the tent on the deck. they just did it with no stress on us.
4) Kindness-it matters a lot when your wedding venue staff actually care about making your day (and leading up to it) stress free, easy. Really some of the nicest people work here!!
5) They want your day to be what you want it to be-they listen, they care, they want to make your day special and it shows.
6) comfiest bed ever~ we stayed overnight in the main house and had a great buffet breakfast the next morning.

Everything i could have asked for and more!

I have nothing but excellent things to say about Castle Manor Inn!!!! This was the absolute perfect fit for our wedding. We got married here this past September 2019.
I enjoyed working with Laura Baker and the other Castle Manor staff so much along the way. They make the planning process so painless, make you feel right at home, and are extremely dedicated to making sure that your wedding is everything you envisioned!
The venue is perfect, as the Castle Manor was once a large victorian home and has such a lovely rustic-elegance type charm that in my opinion provides the perfect ambiance for a wedding.
There are plenty of rooms on-site for your guests to stay over, beautiful grounds for photo-ops, cocktail hour, outdoor ceremony, etc, and there's a beautiful back deck area that has views of the river and is beautifully lit up at night, really creating a special environment for an evening reception.
This location also takes the worry out of having to find a caterer. They have a wonderful Chef and waitstaff. All the guests I spoke to said their meals were absolutely delicious.
All of the Castle Manor staff were extremely flexible and accommodating with all of our requests. They truly are committed to making sure that your wedding turns out to be everything you dreamed it would be. I cannot thank them enough for everything!

Laura is amazing

The Castle Manor Inn is a gem! I am so thankful to Laura and her team for making our wedding day perfect. Laura is so open to any ideas for wedding day. You can utilize the space however you want. The food was amazing and reasonably priced. I would have never been able to have an Indian wedding ceremony anywhere else in Gloucester. Thank you!

My husband, Jamie, and I were married at the Castle Manor Inn 2 weeks ago, after booking the venue in August 2017. Our goal was to create a relaxed, rustic, and classy wedding weekend, where the majority of our 115 guests could stay on site. I have to say, all of my expectations were completely surpassed every step of the way. Owners Laura and her husband, Tom, were fantastic and flexible with anything we wanted throughout the planning process and the weekend. They were warm and welcoming to every single guest, whether they were staying overnight or not, and we are still getting texts and calls about how much fun our guests had, and how they loved the Inn and service overall. Laura was constantly available for whatever we needed, but also discreet, and she anticipated many of our needs before we even realized we had them. She is very knowledgeable and skilled with planning, and organized with every aspect. After 9 months of planning, I was ready to let someone else take some of the reigns with making the decoration decisions, and she did a wonderful job creating an intimate, rustic, and classy setup. Our guests as a whole are individuals who like to let loose and have some fun, and they were accommodating with keeping the SeaGlass bar open and ready to accept guests who wanted to keep the party going. As a 4th year medical student, I was looking for very specific qualities in a venue, with a pretty tight budget, and this all was at a very reasonable cost.

My husband and I couldn't be happier with how our wedding weekend turned out, and would not hesitate for a second to recommend it to other engaged couples looking for a wedding venue.

From the moment we toured Castle Manor Inn, we knew this was the venue! Laura, the owner, made everything so easy and guided us through the process. She was so organized, poised, and able to calm everyone's nerves. She even crafted us a boutonniere when the florist brought us one less that we ordered. I COULD NOT TELL WHICH BOUTONNIERE WAS MADE BY THE FLORIST AND WHICH ONE WAS MADE BY LAURA!!! She really saved the day.

Castle Manor Inn was also an excellent value for the money and was perfectly suited to our small wedding with only 30 guests. Some other venues wouldn't even talk to us because we didn't meet their minimums. She was also very flexible and we never felt like she was trying to upsell us or price-gouge us. The manor and the grounds were beautiful and the space was perfectly suited to our small gathering. We didn't feel too small for the space like we did in some ballroom-type venues.

We have had dinner at the on-site Sea Glass restaurant before and knew the food was amazing, and the food was no less delicious at our reception. We served filet mignon as one of our entrees with horseradish sauce and it was melt-in-your-mouth amazing. The chicken saltimboca appetizer was also unbelievably delicious! They have a truly talented chef; you are not getting bland banquet food!

The only small criticism is that we found the beds to be uncomfortable. We stayed two nights and my and my husband's backs were hurting in my morning.

In any case, I would HIGHLY recommend this venue and Laura really went above and beyond to make our day as magical and stress-free as possible. She's awesome!

Laura was an absolute angel! From beginning to end, our first tour to the morning after, my husband and I have felt so lucky to be planning with Laura. Even in my day of panic, she knew just what to do at every step of the way and was so poised in every regard. Her awesome staff took great care of us day of, and our guests all commented on how excellent our venue choice was . The Bridal Suite was a perfect space to get ready, while Laura did the rest downstairs. We can't wait to share pictures of our beautiful early fall wedding at Castle Manor Inn! Laura also hooked us up with our DJ, florist, and JP - She knows someone who does everything and we were so happy with all of her recommendations!

We couldn't have asked for a better venue! Every step from touring Castle Manor and meeting Laura for the first time through departing the morning after was above our expectations. What made us feel extremely confident was Laura's (owner/wedding planner) amazing organization and note taking to our needs and recommendations. We even bought a 3 tiered fondue fountain and Laura worked with her chef to bring our late-night cheese fountain idea to life! Having 26 rooms on-site were also a huge plus so we could spend more time with our guests and they could enjoy themselves without driving and then having a great breakfast afterwards.

The day of our wedding went extremely smooth and she made sure the events were kept on schedule without us needing to worry about anything. The staff were all friendly and bartenders fun. We received many compliments on how quaint and unique Castle Manor is, the great food, and how Laura was clearly on top of things too!
