Our wedding at the Kimpton Marlowe Hotel in Cambridge on 8/30/25 was nothing short of spectacular! Rachel and the team at the hotel truly went above and beyond! My husband and I were looking for a spot with beautiful views of Boston and the Charles River, close to the airport, with plenty of delicious food for guests. The Kimpton did not disappoint! Our wedding photos were so beautiful in a prime Cambridge spot, there was plenty of food including late night snacks for guests and amazing signature drinks! From the beginning Rachel and the team worked very hard to ensure our wedding felt personal and special to us. It was obvious we weren't just another couple. We had special treatment from the moment we entered the hotel for our wedding weekend and everyone was extremely generous! Considering they only do one wedding per day, the team took special care to cater to us! They even let us practice our dance one time before the big day when the ballroom was set up! Rachel continued to check in throughout the wedding to ensure everything was running smoothly and quickly responded to my never ending emails before the wedding! The experience went so smoothly and everything we requested was satisfied! Rachel made sure we had a chance to try out apps during the cocktail hour and kept the flower centerpieces from the wedding for the brunch the next day! All the food was incredible and the entire team including the valet treated us well. The wedding suite was superb and had gorgeous views of the city as well! I was anxious at first trying to decide on a venue but if I had to do it again I would choose the Kimpton time and time again! 10 star review - truly fabulous. We will never forget our exceptional wedding day! Even our guests left 5 star reviews and wouldn’t stop raving about the late night sliders and fries! Thank you Kimpton Marlowe of Cambridge! 

Our wedding was end of October 2025. We had the best day, from start to finish. It still feels like a dream when I think about it. (We didn't feel the need to have a videographer, but in retrospect I almost wish we had one, so we could re-play and re-live the highlight reels again!). My husband and I are very glad we chose The Marlowe as our venue for our wedding ceremony and reception. Our parents loved it too. Rachel was our MVP hands down! She was laser-focused, direct, prompt, and effective every step of the way in us planning the wedding. We appreciated her expertise and confidence all along the way - she shepherded us along and we appreciated her partnership in helping us realize, and bring to life, our own vision. We were mindful of our budget along the way, and Rachel was mindful of this and answered all our questions to help us plan accordingly. We feel that our money was very well spent here. Rachel's dedication to her role was evident to us - she was also the primary point person for us on site on our wedding day, even though she herself got married the week before we did. If there were any hiccups along the way, we were blissfully unaware - we felt the day went so smoothly, ran on time, and Rachel's precision, care, teamwork with the vendors was key. Rachel's colleague, Kristin, was likewise wonderful to work with the night of the wedding and the farewell brunch the day after. We felt very cared for and thoroughly taken care of by the Marlowe staff. Every aspect of the food was delicious - from hors d'oeuvres to entrees to dessert. We ourselves were blown away by the food, and we received many compliments from our guests. The recently renovated event space on the 2nd floor felt luxurious and classy, without feeling stuffy or trying too hard. Going into the wedding, I didn't want to put unreasonable pressure on myself to have something like "the best day of my life" on my wedding day... but I can truthfully say that it was one of the best days of my life. We will fondly recall our wedding at the Marlowe and we look forward to returning for special occasions in the future.

The venue looked stunning, the service was exceptional and our guests were blown away. We enjoyed every moment because we knew the Marlowe team had everything handled. From the moment we started planning our wedding at the Kimpton Marlowe Hotel, the staff's communication was quick, detailed, personable and professional. They anticipated our every need and made us feel like VIPs throughout the entire process. The weekend of our wedding, the team went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect- from the front desk to the bellman everyone made us, and our guests, feel special. They provided little touches like, spontaneous bottles of champagne and charcuterie, with the service at the reception being top notch! All of guests are continuing to comment on the impeccable service of the hotel. The quality of their work was absolute perfection, and we wouldn't change a single thing if we had to do it all over again. The Kimpton Marlowe Hotel truly made our special day unforgettable!!

The Marlowe was an awesome venue to work with. They worked with us throughout the planning process and the day of to make sure everything went off without a hitch. Our ceremony right on the water was beautiful and we were able to bring every part of our vision with our wedding. The team was extremely accommodating, flexible, and responsive to all our ideas + requests. I would highly recommend them!

The Kimpton Marlowe team is the Dream Team. Rachel Barlaam is the "fairy Godmother" for weddings. She makes sure that your dreams and wishes come true. With Rachel's expertise and professionalism, I never felt stressed or overwhelmed during my wedding planning. She is also quick with responding to emails that any question or linger thoughts I had were quickly resolved within a day! On the day of my wedding, the Kimpton Marlowe staff made sure everything went smoothly. There was not one hiccup during the day. Everyone says that there is at least one thing that may not go accordingly during your wedding day, but I can say that I had the PERFECT wedding. The day after my wedding, everything was nicely packed and organized for me to bring home. I did not have to worry about anything at the end of the night. Everything from the beginning to the end was taken care of and my only regret is that I cannot relive the moment!

We throughly enjoyed hosting our wedding at The Kimpton Marlowe. The atmosphere was light, refreshing and offered many pockets of spaces to have intimate conversations with our guests.

Rachel is an amazing on-site coordinator. She was always on top of things, walked us through every detail and worked alongside us to help us realize our vision.

In terms of food, the options are plenty and innovative. The portions are generous and the inclusion of an open bar in our package was a hit with our guests. The serving staff were very friendly and made sure our guests needs were attended to.

Last but not least, the location is very convenient, being beside the picturesque Charles River and Esplanade.

I cannot say enough about how incredible our experience was getting married at Kimpton Marlowe. Their coordinator, Rachel Barlaam, was available to us every step of the way. She gave us our initial tour, answered all our questions throughout the planning process, guided us through our tasting and planning out logistics, managed our room block, helped with welcome bag and decor drop off, and was there to make sure everything ran smoothly on the day of our wedding. Her communication, organization, and attention to detail are outstanding and made the whole process so easy.

The space itself is gorgeous. Recent renovations have left plenty of character (e.g. beautiful tilework in the lobby, spiral staircase great for photos), while giving everything a fresh feel and keeping it neutral enough to be a great backdrop for any decor. We loved having the entire second floor reserved for our event and how easy it was to transition between the different spaces for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Plus having the guest rooms right upstairs meant less moving around for our older guests and we didn't have to worry about people driving back at night. The location is fabulous and the beautiful courtyard sets the entrance back from the street which makes a huge difference in the feel as well as the logistics of loading/unloading people and things.

Our guests raved to us about how good the food was. We loved the range of options available to us and everything came out delicious and plentiful. Catering staff were so professional and attentive during the event.

Plus soaking in the big tub in the bridal suite at the end of the night and looking out at the gorgeous view of the city were a perfect end to the day.

The overall vibe at Kimpton Marlowe is so friendly and warm. It feels like a small boutique hotel. It doesn't feel corporate or cookie-cutter at all. This is partially due to some of their amenities like free coffee in the morning and wine in the evening, dogs being welcome, the cozy bar area downstairs, etc. But also due to their incredible staff. Every single person we interacted with was friendly and helpful. Staff consistently went above and beyond to provide an excellent experience for us and our guests. (Just one example - a member of the catering team remembered that a certain guest was gluten-free and found her at our brunch the next day to offer her gluten-free options).

I really cannot recommend this venue enough. It was beyond perfect and if I had to do it all over I would 100% book here again!!

We had our wedding at the Marlowe in April 2025 - i cannot recommend it enough! The hotel is stunning from the guest rooms to the ballroom and the staff is top notch! Our guests are still raving about the food and service! Most of all Rachel was absolutely fantastic to work with, fun, responsive, professional and knowledgeable, we couldn't have done it without her help! Having everything in one location was a huge plus for us and really makes for a seamless event. Highly recommend! and a bonus is that they have an option for an outside ceremony!
