I highly recommend Taneka and It's My Day Special Events and cannot say enough good things about our experience working with both. My daughter and I decided to plan her wedding ourselves for budgetary reasons and because we had some special family considerations. At the same time, we accurately predicted that we would need to be able to turn things over to a professional for the wedding day in order to really enjoy the ceremony, festivities, and sweet moments of the day with the special people surrounding us--whether they be lifelong loved ones we wanted to honor and celebrate (and dance with!) or the groom's family and friends that we wanted to have the time and attention to enjoy weaving into our family circle that day. Taneka made all this possible and more! She was there to answer questions leading up to the wedding and in taking over confirmations and delivery scheduling before the big day so that my daughter and I could focus on all the crazy last minutes plus packing for wedding and honeymoon needs and travel. Taneka also made it possible for me, as Mother of the Bride, to fully enjoy the wedding day! She took all of my daughter's visions and made them happen while we were gifted time to dive into getting ready and enjoying time with each other and dear friends and family. Unpredictably, there was an issue with the photography site and Taneka swooped in and helped resolve the matter before it negatively impacted the couple's first look and photo shoot together and with their wedding party. Taneka is a talented, experienced, and practical professional who will work on your behalf and add to the beauty and fun or your wedding day. Three generations of family members on both sides of our family wedding are so thankful we used Taneka and It's My Day Special Events. Thank you, thank you, Taneka, for the truly beautiful time we all had!

Taneka was amazing!! I felt like I was working with my best friend. She helped me stay calm, and was super responsive-always. She also was very professional with all of my vendors, very classy with my guests. My mother loved her, I loved her, and I highly recommend her!!

Taneka is the BEST day-of coordinator in the game! She bills herself as a day-of coordinator, but she started checking in with me six months out, asking if I needed anything and making sure we had all our ducks in a row. I'm a bit of a perfectionist, but I was at ease on my wedding day because I knew Taneka was taking care of everything! Plus, she's a ton of fun - even getting in on the dancing :)

Taneka was our day of coordinator for our wedding in November 2021 and I can't imagine our day without her! She was extremely organized, thoughtful and on top of every detail. Would recommend her to anyone!

Taneka was recommended to us by friends who had used her a few years before. So glad we followed their advice! Taneka was wonderful to work with. She’s a great positive energy, and she knows her stuff. She is calm and professional, and jumps in to help wherever you need—and she anticipates what you need before you even think of it. She worked great with all of our vendors and our bridal party/family. They all loved her! Having her there in our wedding way definitely took away all of the stress of knowing what comes next, where to go and what you need to do. She did a great job encouraging me to enjoy my day and let her take care of things for which I’m very grateful. We had the best day, and can’t thank her enough.

Taneka was hands down, the absolute best investment that we could have ever made for a wedding. Before you hire any other vendor, go find Taneka! We didn't hire her until a month before the wedding and I WISH we had done it earlier. She came in, checked in with all of my other vendors, and took charge so I didn't have to. If there were any complications on the day of, and I'm sure there were, I didn't have a clue because she took care of everything. Everyone that had anything to do with the wedding knew who Taneka was because she was our SUPER HERO of the day!
