Taneka is the BEST day-of coordinator in the game! She bills herself as a day-of coordinator, but she started checking in with me six months out, asking if I needed anything and making sure we had all our ducks in a row. I'm a bit of a perfectionist, but I was at ease on my wedding day because I knew Taneka was taking care of everything! Plus, she's a ton of fun - even getting in on the dancing :) -

Taneka was hands down, the absolute best investment that we could have ever made for a wedding. Before you hire any other vendor, go find Taneka! We didn't hire her until a month before the wedding and I WISH we had done it earlier. She came in, checked in with all of my other vendors, and took charge so I didn't have to. If there were any complications on the day of, and I'm sure there were, I didn't have a clue because she took care of everything. Everyone that had anything to do with the wedding knew who Taneka was because she was our SUPER HERO of the day! -

I cannot sing It's My Day's praises enough!! Taneka and her team are astounding -- they orchestrated everything on the wedding day to perfection. Taneka and Shannon made sure the rehearsal went as scheduled, the vendors arrived to the proper place at the proper time day of, the ceremony music was cued properly, toasts were given at the proper time, and the list goes on! Even things I hadn't thought about (like what to do with my bouquet during the entrance) were handled seamlessly by Tankea. She even made sure some minor obstacles (like guests who had enjoyed the cocktail hour a little too much) were solved without interrupting my fun of the day. Thank you, Taneka, for letting my husband and I enjoy our big day! -

I am so grateful that we invested in Taneka’s service - she was prompt with every response, clearly experienced and passionate about wedding coordination! Our wedding-to-reception concept had some complexity (3 music acts, flipping the ceremony space for dinner, very tight timeline) and thanks to Taneka, it went off without a hitch! She jumped right in, knew the best places to help at exactly the right times, and was always smiling & supportive. I couldn’t afford to skip the way ItsMyDay kept everything on track - would absolutely recommend. -

Not only was she essential in day-of-coordination, but also in the process leading up to our wedding. My husband and I planned our wedding from out of town. Takena was always willing to meet in person if we stopped by; otherwise she was VERY responsive in communicating via phone and email. She is approachable, detail-oriented, efficient, punctual, and calm. It must take a lot to phase Taneka because she is always two steps ahead and has a back-up plan for everything. IF anything went awry on our wedding day, we did not notice as her team probably handled it quickly and quietly--no drama and stress free!!! One of my bridesmaids was in the process of planning her own wedding in NYC. By the end of our wedding day, she was so impressed by It's My Day Special Events that she repeatedly said, "I want someone like Taneka on my wedding team!" Taneka's infectious personality makes it easy for her to work cohesively with other vendors. At the heart of it all, she is warm and caring. She truly goes above and beyond to make your special day everything you hoped for and more. For the success and joy of our wedding day, we are deeply grateful to her for all of her hard work. We HIGHLY recommend Taneka to anyone and everyone--she is simply the best!

Taneka Scales will go above and beyond to make sure that the bride's wishes are carried out to her exact specifications. Not only that, she can turn on a dime and handle any situation she's faced with --- as happened with our garden wedding that had to be moved inside the reception venue when the rains came. Taneka never missed a beat and organized the space so that it was perfect for the ceremony, then quickly rearranged it so it was perfect for the reception. Not only that, but her calm demeanor and clear ability to keep track of all the moving parts of a somewhat chaotic last-minute change were very reassuring not only to the bride, but to all the members of the wedding party so that no one felt unsure or ill at ease. Best of all, she sticks with you to the very end, and both she and her assistant are very courteous and supportive no matter what the emotional temperature of the situation! I assure you that you will not find a better coordinator anywhere, and I commend It's My Special Day Events without qualification. Thank you Taneka and Shannon for helping us achieve the wedding of Meg's dreams!

Meg Sent on 10/09/2017Taneka and her assistant Shannon are the most wonderful women you could ever work with. I felt I was pretty prepared for our wedding at the Barn at Reynolda Village on October 7, but being able to hand over the reigns to Taneka was exactly what I needed to make our day as perfect as ever! We planned to be married outside in the garden, but as mother nature would have it, the rain moved in and it poured! Taneka made a plan and without hesitation I trusted her and we were married inside in the Barn. She coordinated our ceremony as if we had planned to be married in the space all along, it was so beautiful and intimate. Our guests were so impressed with how smoothly the wedding went and we can only thank Taneka and Shannon for that! They truly are such pros and I would recommend them to anyone who needs a day of coordinator in the North Carolina area! Thank you ladies for everything, you're the best! ❤️

She has such a great personality and is so organized. She was very proactive and contacted me when she needed info rather than wait for me to realize that I needed to get it to her. She would check in from time to time just to make sure planning was going ok. She made sure everything about the day went smoothly and I didn't have to worry about a thing. Booking Taneka was one of the best decisions I made. I could not have done it without her! I highly, highly recommend Taneka!
