Hello! Welcome. Franny Civitano is a wedding officiant located in Brooklyn, NY and works in all five boroughs and beyond. She believes no couple’s wedding ceremony is the same and therefore strives to create customized services that best reflect every couple’s personality and love story. She has officiated over 60 weddings since 2013 and has an array of experience doing vow renewals, ceremonies, and non-religious weddings.
Services Offered
Franny will work with you to make sure your wedding ceremony is exactly what you want it to be, whether that be a short and sweet elopement, or a perfectly unique ceremony that brings your story to life.
Custom ceremony: about 15 minutes in length, you and your partner answer a questionnaire so Franny can get to know you as individuals and how you are together in a partnership, including how you met, what kept you together, and what you're looking forward to.
Simple ceremony: about 5 minutes in length, Franny has two pre-written ceremonies to choose from that are short, sweet, and perfect for elopments or those on a budget.
I write, you perform: is your friend or family member officiating your wedding, but they aren't sure where to start, or they'd like some editing help? I also work with couples and/or family members to create a ceremony to perform on their own.
Just the legal stuff: don't want a ceremony, you just want to be legally married? I can do that, too.
I no longer take on day-of coordination events, but I am happy to work with you on your ceremony!

I cannot recommend Franny enough. Her officiant + DOC work was perfect for our level of needs as a couple who had already done all of the planning & booking ourselves but needed help with tying up all the loose ends in the couple weeks before the wedding & stage managing the wedding itself. She truly made our wedding a zero-stress experience; I felt like I could totally relax the entire day knowing that she had all the details and was going to make sure everything came together. Franny went completely above and beyond in making the extremely narrow setup & teardown windows we were given by the venue work and chasing down final details from a vendor we had a hard time communicating with. She also helped my groom coordinate an amazing surprise for me during the ceremony with no spoilers! Everything went off without a hitch and I'm so grateful!

Best ceremony ever
Our DJ mentioned he worked a wedding with an officiant who made an impression on him (Franny), so we figured we'll reach out to her to see for ourselves.
PROCESS: Right from the start, Franny was very responsive and personable. She made an effort to know us as a couple and write the ceremony we wanted. She made us feel at ease and ensured that our questions/ concerns were answered timely—one of the best and most pleasant vendors we had.
DAY OF: She made our day! The ceremony was PERFECT. Our guests were engaged, crying and laughing as it went on. My husband and I were over the moon. We had dozens of guests telling us this was the best ceremony they've ever attended. I cannot recommend Franny enough!!!
