As a wedding officiant and passionate storyteller, she's had the honor of officiating over 200 weddings since starting her company four years ago. Liz's ceremonies have a cinematic quality, taking your guests through your unique story, from your first interaction, your first date, the moment you knew it was love; the simple moments you share together and the adventures you’ve had traveling the world, up to the moment of the proposal. Her words will paint a story of the two of you individually, including your respective family histories, and now the life you’re building together. Liz chooses her words wisely, sharply, passionately, intentionally, and joyfully. Let her choose some for you.
Founder Liz Norment and the HLWT team offer a number of essential wedding services. She provides a full-service officiant package, aimed at wedding parties of 50 guests and more, and a "mini-mony" package, for more intimate events. The Have Lover, Will Travel team can also officiate elopements, vow renewals, and destination weddings.
As an IATA-certified travel advisor, Liz creates custom honeymoons that reflect your adventurous love story. The process starts by getting to know who you are as travelers, exploring destinations, and finally putting the pieces together that allow you to explore the world while discovering more about each other

HLWT is a marvel
My wife and I had a very stressful marriage process. We planned it in a week, during the pandemic, and it was too ambitious. We found HLWT just days before the wedding and hired them to officiate. We met with the director over zoom and suddenly, everything was okay. Liz took all the weight off our shoulders and managed to reassure us, focus our ideas, strategize, and tease out our love story, all at once. We were truly freaking out and Liz was a rock. We literally sent her our vows the morning of the wedding and she rolled with it.
(but don't do that.)
The ceremony Liz crafted for us was elegant, magical, and heartbreakingly beautiful. She captured our love and values so perfectly, it felt like we had hired a mind reader. No joke - in the middle of my own wedding I turned to her and shouted "GOD YOU'RE GOOD!" During the reception, some of our guests told me they were glad I did because they were thinking the same thing.
Liz brings to her work the sharpness of an event planner, the intuition of an artist, and the warmth of a friend. Her preparation is rigorous. She carefully collects the gems of the relationship and unveils them throughout the ceremony in a way that makes you discover them all over again.
