We are from the UK and was visiting New York for a Holiday and planned last minute, 3 weeks before to Wed while in Brooklyn at the William Vale Hotel, we had a rooftop penthouse and the hotel had given permition for our ceremony.
We searched easily 10-15 Officiants looking for a warm, happy, fun and most of all a very professional officiant and once seeing Franny on a wedding video we knew we wanted her service, it was the best decission a game changer for us, from initial contact her support and advice was great, making us feel at ease every step, we had our first video call via mobile when we arrived our first week in NY and we planned the evening wedding. Franny advised on script shortning as we wanted a shortend vows, we planned it perfect with Franny from her entrance, including our Daughter in the vows and setting the scene and how it would play out on the rooftop from Franny's entery to the hotel floor escorted by hotel manager to our ceremony, gathering in the hotel room, drinks fun chat and ceremony against the amazing sunset in February 2025 was just perfect. Dont hesitate to book Franny you will be super happy you did, she has so much experience and her personality is awesome and her attention to detail and making sure she fits exact to your plans is seamless and makes the moment so relaxed and fun for all. Thanks Franny we cherish that day and the photographs with you. -

Best officiant ever!!!
We couldn’t have asked for a better officiant than Franny Civitano. From our first meeting, she took the time to get to know us, our story and what mattered most to us in our ceremony. The result was something deeply personal, heartfelt and uniquely us.
Franny crafted a ceremony that balanced emotion, warmth and the right amount of humor. So many of our guests told us afterward how meaningful and memorable it was - and we couldn’t agree more.

Franny wrote, and led, such a gorgeous and thoughtful ceremony that my partner's friend (who had lobbied to marry us) told us afterwards we'd definitely made the right choice in Franny. It was clear she listened to all of the things we'd said about each other, and our relationship, and the ceremony fit our personalities to a tee.
She also made the whole day feel easy, which, for me at least, is no easy feat. -

We hired Franny to be our officiant and also our day-of planner. We were a bit undecided on whether we needed a planner but after the first meeting it was clear that she was going to bring a lot to the table.
I had so much anxiety around the planning and I felt so much better once Franny got involved. She asked questions about what we wanted or were envisioning and helped us flesh out the details of the day. She always responded promptly to emails and we had about 3 zoom meetings leading up to the day. Her guidance and experience were invaluable!!
On the day of our wedding she showed up early to the venue while we were at another location doing photos. She only had about an hour and she and a few of our friends transformed the space into something better than I could have imagined.
She also put together a beautiful ceremony based on a questionnaire that we filled out about our relationship and also what she had learned about us through meetings. We collaborated and could provide feedback on exactly what she would say and she also helped us figure out our vows.
Do yourself a favor and hire Franny!

We had the best experience with Franny for our wedding ceremony on 10/28/23. She was super responsive and easy to work with right from the beginning. She had us fill out extensive questionnaires to get to know us and understand our approach to marriage. The custom ceremony she drafted was absolutely lovely and matched us so well. She was flexible in making some changes we requested and also guided us on writing our vows and I love how they came out. On the day of, she absolutely nailed it! So professional and such great delivery, she had our guests laughing and crying the whole time. We heard from so many guests that they loved our ceremony and so did we!! Would absolutely recommend hiring her to anyone! -

Franny made all the difference!
We couldn't be more grateful that we chose Franny to officiate our wedding. After seeing her officiate a friend's wedding, we knew before we were even engaged that she was the one (it was love at first sight). Franny's questionnaire was so thoughtfully crafted to really get to the heart of our relationship and what we wanted represented in the ceremony. When she shared the first draft with us, it was obvious that this was not a cookie cutter ceremony, but rather something crafted especially with us in mind. Our friends and family were so touched by the ceremony, and the whole process was so collaborative. I also appreciate the logistics that Franny helps with--reminding us of the timeline to get our license, and mailing it for us right after the ceremony. We were in such good hands. Book her! -

Franny was both our officiant and day-of coordinator and we cannot say enough great things about her! From the start, she was on the ball with communicating to our vendors, drafting a timeline of the day and making sure there were no gaps or anything that could lead to a mishap. She worked so well with everyone and was the glue that kept everything together. Franny also wrote and performed our ceremony and it was amazing! She is an amazing writer and presented it beautifully. It told our story, had some funny bits and spoke to love and the significance of that moment. There were both laughter and (happy) tears, which is exactly what we wanted for our ceremony. We had multiple guests come up to us to tell us 1) it was the best ceremony they’ve seen and 2) how on top of everything she was with being also the day-of coordinator. In the end, the day went perfectly and we have her to thank for that! P.S. She is also just a super cool person -

I cannot recommend Franny enough. Her officiant + DOC work was perfect for our level of needs as a couple who had already done all of the planning & booking ourselves but needed help with tying up all the loose ends in the couple weeks before the wedding & stage managing the wedding itself. She truly made our wedding a zero-stress experience; I felt like I could totally relax the entire day knowing that she had all the details and was going to make sure everything came together. Franny went completely above and beyond in making the extremely narrow setup & teardown windows we were given by the venue work and chasing down final details from a vendor we had a hard time communicating with. She also helped my groom coordinate an amazing surprise for me during the ceremony with no spoilers! Everything went off without a hitch and I'm so grateful! -

Franny Was perfect
My wife comes from a religious background and I do not. We wanted someone who could be fun and casual but also bring a little gravitas to our backyard wedding. Franny was perfect. She was present and never pretentious. Honest and warm. The ceremony felt relaxed and personal and moving. I can't imagine anyone else doing it. If you are looking for someone to work with you and make your day feel special, you will not regret working with Franny. -

Our DJ mentioned he worked a wedding with an officiant who made an impression on him (Franny), so we figured we'll reach out to her to see for ourselves.
PROCESS: Right from the start, Franny was very responsive and personable. She made an effort to know us as a couple and write the ceremony we wanted. She made us feel at ease and ensured that our questions/ concerns were answered timely—one of the best and most pleasant vendors we had.
DAY OF: She made our day! The ceremony was PERFECT. Our guests were engaged, crying and laughing as it went on. My husband and I were over the moon. We had dozens of guests telling us this was the best ceremony they've ever attended. I cannot recommend Franny enough!!! -

Franny wrote us a meaningful, personalized ceremony that was delivered beautifully but she also proved to be LIFESAVING as our day-of coordinator. From our first meeting we realized how organized and knowledgable Franny is. She knew all the questions we needed to be asking and honestly revealed to us how much really needed to be done. She quickly got us organized with a to-do list and was gently on top of us (without being overbearing) to make sure everything was in line for our perfect day. The entire time she was very responsive, patient and always kind, offering to help with whatever she could. We met a second time with her at the venue and she was on top of EVERYTHING! Not only did she make sure to get to all of our questions but she also made sure to address the needs of all of our vendors. Working with Franny was EASY and fun! She truly allowed us to trust her with the planning and organizing so that we could focus only on ourselves and our celebration. Even our families love her! -

Franny was an absolute pleasure to work with and I would recommend her without hesitation. When we decided to cancel our wedding due to covid-19, I was sad thinking we would not get to utilize her services after all the planning we had done, but luckily she had the flexibility to perform a virtual ceremony including all our closest family and friends. The actual content of her ceremony was extremely moving and well-written. She had given us the option to personalize it as much or as little as we wanted. In such a stressful world, if you want a chill, dedicated, responsive vendor, Franny is the way to go! -

Graceful, professional, caring, flexible officiant!
Franny was amazing! We had originally booked her for our Brooklyn wedding celebration this May. When the COVID crisis hit, our original plans were postponed, and last minute (as in, about a week before the date), we decided to elope on our original wedding date and get married via Zoom. Franny was available, and instrumental in helping us to figure out all of the logistics and navigating the unknowns of how to get married via Zoom, sign paperwork virtually via Docusign, etc. It was her first time marrying a couple over Zoom but you never would have known it. She was graceful, professional and warm, and navigated a situation that could have been awkward with ease and expertise. She also managed to pull off a beautiful ceremony in a very short amount of time! Thanks so much, Franny. Our #covidwedding story wouldn't be the same without you.

We initially asked a close family member to officiate our wedding this September and were quite surprised when he declined. I was stressing out but luckily we found Franny and hit it off. We interviewed a couple other officiants and found her to be the most down-to-earth, chill and genuinely interested candidate. She did an awesome job ultimately so it worked out perfectly! The best!
My wife and I had our wedding officiated by Franny, and we both agree that it was one of the best decisions we made throughout the entire process.
Our friends were quite involved in helping plan and organize our wedding, so we didn’t want to burden any of them with getting certified, planning the ceremony, and writing extra speeches. We were concerned with hiring someone we didn’t know to officiate the wedding ceremony, but finding Franny was truly a blessing!
To help her learn more about us, we had a call with her and she sent us a short list of questions. Filling out the questions ended up being a fantastic exercise for both of us to do in the midst of planning the wedding. They made the process feel light again and reminded us of why we were getting married in the first place!
From the information gathered in the questions and calls, she built am absolutely beautiful ceremony for us. She was captivating, well-spoken, and thoughtful. The ceremony was exactly what we were looking for and had the entire wedding laughing and crying along with us.
It’s worth mentioning that our ceremony was outside in Brooklyn on the hottest day in 20 years. Without missing a beat, she not only kept us calm about the heat, but also ensured that the ceremony moved at a quick pace so our guests could get inside in the air-conditioning. She turned a seriously stressful situation into something that was light and genuinely magical for us and our guests.
We can’t recommend Franny enough! Our wedding guests still comment on how beautiful and touching the ceremony she put together was. You’re doing your wedding a disservice by passing up on her! -

My fiance and I decided against a religious ceremony only two months before our wedding day and we were so grateful to find Franny as our officiant. She was so easy to work with, making the last step in our wedding planning seamless. Franny was super nice and made us feel comfortable when telling her about our relationship in order for her to get to know us better. She wrote a beautiful ceremony that was true to our relationship and exactly what we wanted. Franny let us review what she wrote about a month before the wedding and encouraged us to be open with her about how we felt and if we wanted her to edit anything. We thought what she wrote was perfect and sentimental, yet lighthearted and funny. She also gave us tips on how we can include short speeches by our best friends in the ceremony. The end result was beautiful and our wedding ceremony could not be more perfect. My family is pretty traditional and many have never been to a wedding that was not officiated by a priest, and everyone thought that our ceremony was so beautiful, unique and special. I would definitely recommend Franny to anyone looking for a wedding officiant who will make your wedding ceremony unique to your relationship.
