Abby Henderson, the owner and event planner at 13 Cedar Events, fell in love with event planning while working for an exclusive country club in her home state of Alabama. She's a fan of gorgeous design, but also a sucker for all things organized and in checklist form. Combining her natural ability to build relationships with clients and vendors, and a love for spot-on execution of details, she's planned dozens of one-of-a-kind events for even more one-of-a-kind people. After planning a variety of events for the last 12 years, at the private and corporate level, she decided to start her own event company, and in early January 2016, 13 Cedar Events was born.

I cannot say enough kind words about Abby! She was worth every penny and made our wedding day absolutely perfect! She worked with us from the day we met her to develop a vision for our big day and was practically available 24/7 for any questions/concerns/nerves. Even if you're organized and think you can do this yourself (like I thought I could), you will be 100 times better off with Abby by your side. She hooks you up with this amazing planning tool called Aisle Planner, which has everything you need in one place to stay organized. She sends you tasks to do as they are needed and keeps you on pace with planning and budget. She communicates with all your vendors over the last few months to get everyone on the same page so that you don't have to worry about it. And whenever my family was annoying me with questions, she's like "I got it! I'll email them". It was amazing! Day-of she was over-prepared with her fanny pack, microphone, schedule, and emergency kit. We could not have found a better planner if we tried! Hiring Abby as your coordinator will be the best decision you make for your wedding day period. From the moment my now husband and I met her, I felt 110% at ease. Our wedding day from start to finish was a dream because of her. Her confidence and calmness the day of was truly the reason we were so relaxed and happy all day and able to ENJOY it with family and friends. She made both myself and husband feel so calm. She even thinks of the little things that make a world of difference like giving the two of you a moment to yourselves before the reception, and bringing you a cup of wine/beer to sip on between pictures. Abby communicates with you clearly and in detail, which makes the whole planning process so easy. She has a wonderful relationship with your vendors, which also makes the day run so smooth and effortless. She is a true professional and a joy to be around too. We hired Abby for month of coordinator which saved us, but would recommend her as a planner in any capacity especially a full wedding planner for your special day! We started working with Abby about a year out from our wedding, when I was starting to freak out about how much there was to do and had NO idea where to start. Abby was incredible from the first moment, reviewing contracts from vendors I had already signed and helping me figure out what our next steps should be. She recommended amazing vendors for everything from game rentals to linens to flowers to catering to to transportation to alterations, helped me navigate contracts, kept me on track with an insanely detailed to-do list, and followed up with regular phone calls, emails and in-person meetings (not to mention always responded promptly to my panicked emails or texts). The day of our wedding could not have gone more smoothly, and that's entirely because of Abby. We had multiple guests comment on how kind, warm and fun she was, while still making sure everyone (including guests, vendors and bride and groom) was in the right place at the right time. Weddings can be stressful but they don't have to be. Hire a pro that knows how to take care of the details and enjoy your day. We have seen a lot of weddings and it's easy to immediately recognize that Abby pays attention to details and she has a personality that puts folks at ease. very valuable traits for a wedding planner.
