“We want you to have EVERYTHING you want!!” Katie would say this to me thru out the planning and execution of our wedding. This is the best way I can introduce the Katie Brooks team – they truly did EVERYTHING to give us EVERYTHING we dreamed! Hiring Katie and Anna Blue was absolutely the most important decision my husband and I made. I’m the mother of the bride and it is my honor to write this review. It’s been 60 days since the wedding day, and I still get chills when memories swirl in my head! Each of every memory would only have happened with the amazing creativity and expert coordination of Katie and Anna Blue. My daughter got engaged right before she was moving for a new job in Nashville, TN. Her fiancé was working in Roanoke, VA. And we wanted to have the wedding in Charlotte, NC. Needless to say, we were starting this process with some unique challenges! Then, my daughter and I chose a venue which would require all vendors to be hired individually. We quickly realized we needed help, so I started interviewing coordinators. In our first phone call, I instantly felt a connection to Katie! Her enthusiasm and energy were a perfect match for us and our needs. When we met Katie and Anna Blue in person at the venue, the inspiration board they created allowed us to see the beginnings of what would ultimately be a wedding event that perfectly reflected the personalities of our daughter and son in-law. Once the mood had been chosen with colors and overall concept, Katie and Anna Blue secured the vendors that would make the wedding event spectacular! They keenly matched us with vendors who would understand the physical vision we hoped to achieve. I craved the look of draping vines and lights to create a lush and romantic feeling. This was extra challenging in that the venue had restrictions on hanging items from the ceiling and the walls. Katie was determined to construct it regardless of the hurdles. She worked with the florist to design a custom sculptural installation of vines and flower stems that showcased the head table and served as the inspiration for the overall floral scheme. Then, Katie worked with the rental company to design a tent plan that perfectly complimented the patio area for the cocktail hour and thru out the evening. To achieve the final look, Katie designed a brilliant arrangement for the dining and dancing areas with such precision and creativity, the venue simply came to life! She and Anna Blue completed the design with beautiful table dressings set apart with handmade stationery and stunning accessories that captured the candlelight and florals just right. Katie’s dedication to deliver our vision was the key to setting the scene for a romantic, intimate, family and friends extra fun celebration! Dinner, photography, and music were also extremely important to us. Katie encouraged us to consider a family style dinner with a caterer she thought would be our best option for a sit-down meal. Working with this caterer was a dream and we never would have found them without Katie – she has developed lasting relationships with vendors who deliver nothing but excellent quality, artistic talent, and personal care for their work. This was also the case with the photographer and the DJ. Both of these professionals seamlessly joined in our celebration while guiding us thru the event taking the greatest of attention to capture all the special moments Katie knew we wanted. The vendor team Katie and Anna Blue put together and led that day helped us give our daughter and son in-law a wedding event blessed with love, laughter, celebration, and magic!
