Summer and the Firefly team really made our wedding the best day! I made unique/specific requests throughout the process, and Summer always rolled with my vision, providing opinions and navigating challenges with professionalism. The day of was truly perfect, I didn't lift a finger and the table settings, ceremony music, multiple locations/shuttles, and food all went off without a hitch. I HIGHLY recommend this team. She also counseled me through the potential for rain during an outdoor spring wedding, and while we were lucky not to have it, we were fully prepared for the possibility.

I cannot stress enough how fantastic Summer is as a wedding planner AND as a person. We were a Hurricane Helene couple who had to postpone our Asheville wedding from the Fall of 2024 to Spring 2025. We are from out of state, so navigating the storm (literally and figuratively!) presented a challenge.

Firefly was the second vendor we hired, and we found them online. Summer and team helped to connect us with other vendors and to make recommendations, and listened to our preferences every step of the way.

Summer and team are calm under pressure, they navigate multiple personalities/opinions/wants with ease, and they never EVER seemed flustered even after a HURRICANE. Summer even fixed a wedding dress emergency for me--the morning of our wedding. She does it all!

What an amazing experience working with Summer. She has a calming, and thorough professionalism about her. During the planning phases, she was organized and responded quickly to messages. It feels like she’s by your side through it all. Whatever your vision is, she will bring it into existence. And if you’re unsure about some details, she will provide options and talk it through with you. As for the day of, she made it seemless, as if it all came together magically, but it was Summer’s skill that made it happen. She goes above and beyond, and if I could repeat my wedding every weekend like I want to, it would be with Summer as my planner!

Kate Edwards-Baumbach was stellar in everything that was presented to her. Attention to detail... was remarkable.. her communication was even better. She made my bride and I so much more comfortable with the entire event. Her charm was splendid.

Through every moment she was there, even with as much spontaneity as we encountered throughout the entire event and everything leading up to it. She just made everything as smooth as could be expected.

Summer was THE ABSOLUTE BEST!! I knew I had nothing to worry about with her as my day of coordinator. Having her come on 60 days out wasn’t what I thought I needed, but ended up being the very thing I needed. She was worth every penny! Her attention to detail and thorough/thoughtful communication were a large part of her paramount professionalism. I am someone who great with event planning but has never planned a wedding, and she was definitely needed for the small but very important details.

I had a strong wedding vision I worked diligently on, and she helped execute every detail to absolute perfection. We were staying on site at our venue. When I left the morning of the wedding to get ready at a friends, things were ready to be put in place but there was A LOT to do. When I pulled up to the venue for our first look, my breathe was completely taken away. It was beautiful!!

Her demeanor is so calm and she magically was right there when I needed her without even looking for her. She isn’t pushy but is so thorough which is what you want and need for your perfect day. Initially I thought her cost was a little high but when it was finished, I felt like she was well underpaid. If you hire her I promise you it will be money very well spent.

Summer was a great throughout our planning process. She helped us understand and translate our vision of our wedding into reality. I would definitely recommend FireFly to my closes friends.

I don't even know where to begin! I'll start from the beginning - choosing a package was SO easy and Summer actually went above and beyond our initial package as I was not from the area OR living in Asheville so she provided me with a lot of guidance on other vendors for everything else we needed! She also helped me put together a true team, not just a bunch of individual vendors, and I loved that everyone had worked together many times in the past! She checked in frequently by email and was so quick to respond in some of my more "panicked" moments. She also made time for extra phone calls as needed! She kept me calm and answered many of our questions about ceremony flow/layout/etc since we were not doing a traditional church wedding so did not have much guidance for the ceremony without her! She also kept track of ALL of our personal items and vendors on the day of and kept all of her check ins with me pertinent and brief and didn't stress me out at all even with changes on the day of! I totally trusted her to set up our space and make any final calls that I couldn't be present to have input on. Our wedding day turned out VERY rainy which was a little bit of a let down but she made it work SO well and made me feel very comfortable, if not excited, about the rain plan. I ended up loving our ceremony layout EVEN MORE in the rain space! She kept the whole day running on schedule without making me feel rushed and even coordinated an "escape" via golf cart for us at the end of the night since we weren't doing a fancy exit. We can't thank Summer and the rest of the Firefly team enough for all of their hard work, attention to detail, and flexibility with our plans/ideas! We enjoyed our wedding day SO much because of them!

Summer Wember and Firefly Event Company absolutely was essential to my big day! I got a day of package and couldn’t have been more pleased! I did all of my own vendor selections and most basic planning but Summer organized all of my vendors, made sure everything happened and made so many good suggestions I just couldn’t have had the amazing day that I had without her there! I can’t say enough good things. Thank you a million times!!

Summer jumped through hoops, took on a small event on short notice and pulled off an amazing 50th wedding anniversary event for my parents on behalf of myself and my siblings. We were looking for something memorable for two people who have given so much and material things carry little value. What was worth every penny was hiring Firefly to plan and coordinate an intimate family event. Summer found a breathtaking and perfect location, accomplished finding food that everyone liked (including 3 vegetarians and 7 kids) and found musicians and a florist that simply made the entire day magical. Could not sing enough praises. It was a total leap of faith since none of us are locals and did not have the ability to scout anything out in advance. As my siblings said the minute we arrived to the event...WELL DONE! Thank you Summer!

Hillary was top notch! We had personally organized most of the elements of our big celebration (putting the vision together, contracting with vendors, etc.), but the best investment we made in our big day was to get Hillary on board for day-of coordination. In the last two months prior to our celebration, Hillary took the reins and pulled all the final details together to make sure our decisions were sound (e.g., transportation needs, venue layout), to confirm final plans with each vendor, and to finalize the all-important day-of schedule. She was a pleasure to work with, incredibly responsive and organized, and respectful of the financial considerations of the event. And we went into our celebration with the confidence that everything would play out as we desired. Ultimately, we were able to enjoy our celebration to the fullest thanks to Hillary's and her teammate Summer's efforts -- and what a special day it was!
