It felt as though we were hanging out with an old friend from high school, picking up right we left off and sharing an experience reserved for close family and best of friends. Jeremy is calm to be around, adapts to game time decisions or changes in initial plans, and his work speaks for itself. Super flexible and responsive -- couldn't recommend more cheers!

Jeremy was an incredible photographer who truly captured all of the special moments - both big and small - throughout our wedding day. Jeremy worked closely with us to understand our goals (incredible photos that embodied the true love and joy throughout the day, but not made for just IG!) and bring that vision to life. He accomplished those goals and more while being a seamless, trusted part of our day for us and our guests. We have gone back to look at our photos and relive our memories so many times - and have printed an embarrassing number of photos to decorate our home. I couldn't recommend Jeremy more!!

Being captured before and during our wedding in as naturalistic a sense as possible was very important to my partner and I. Jeremy excels at taking photos that you don't even realize are being taken because his presence is so calming and fly-on-the-wall.

Striking a comfortable working relationship with a photographer is paramount to the photos themselves being striking, and whether ours were "posed" or candid, Jeremy set us (and our guests) at such ease that virtually every picture he took was perfect.

With wedding or event photography, most would typically say "quality over quantity" -- with Jeremy Russell, luckily, you get both; we were nearly overwhelmed with the sheer volume of photos that turned out to be stunning. Again, I attribute this to Jeremy himself -- as a couple, my partner and I err on the side of being a bit "camera shy," and Jeremy was able to bring us out of our shells and capture each moment evocatively.

His technical talent is singular (color, black-and-white, close-ups or sprawling wide shots -- he truly does it all), and beyond that, he's a great person. We couldn't have asked for more.

Jeremy photographed our intimate wedding day and our larger BBQ celebration at Claxton Farm in Weaverville. His talent, personality, and professionalism are top tier and we recommend him for any event. He made sure to understand our concept of the days and get to know us personally in the planning phase. Coordination with Jeremy is seamless and straightforward - he was responsive and clearly cared to know more about our story. Day of, he respected our privacy- ensuring we had our special private moments, while capturing them beautifully. He was efficient, creative, and friendly with our friends and family. His edits were clean and prompt- easily viewed and downloaded on his website. We relived ALL the great memories and feelings captured! We hired Jeremy for our Biltmore wedding and we couldn’t be happier with our choice! His thoughtful planning made our wedding day stress free. He not only took us to our favorite spots on the estate, but also found unique shots we would not have thought of. We will cherish our photos for many years.

My husband and I are NOT photogenic and we usually really struggle to find photos we both like of us but Jeremy must be a wizard. His photos are so beautiful. On top of that, our wedding was right after the disastrous Hurricane Helene and he STILL was so kind and generous with his time, and traveled to Charlotte (instead of Asheville) to be our photographer. A gem of a human and a wonderful photographer.

Jeremy is a master at his craft, capturing so much more than your standard posed wedding photos. During portraits, he knows how to encourage fun movements to capture a more natural and beautiful position, without over directing at all! And when not explicitly in a setting like portraits, it’s like he blends into the background, unobtrusive but managing to capture the many incredible moments in such a genuine way while still having a gorgeous artistic flair. His editing style is so tasteful, never over the top and fitting the individual moments so well while still maintaining an overall consistent aesthetic. More than his ability behind the camera though, was his ability to make us feel completely at ease and be such a positive person to work with! He even carried my vows for me heading to the first look- I was floundering not knowing what to do with them, and without hesitating be offered to hold them in his jacket and handed them to me when the moment came. The trust and comfort we felt with Jeremy was invaluable, and certainly made our day even more special!
We did the two photographer package (so happy we did) and must say that Julia, our second photographer for the day, was wonderful too! Jeremy assured us that our second photographer would be a professional photographer in their own right, not an assistant, and that really came through in both her day of presence and the quality of the overall photos we received. Shout out to her for saving the train of my dress a few times as we walked to various photo spots! Jeremy’s judgment is impeccable, so you can trust that if you go with the second photographer option, he will only bring someone on who is also great quality! And then you’ll benefit from his stunning edits of everything you receive.

Overall, we were so happy with Jeremy and could not recommend him enough!

Jeremy went above and beyond staying way past the time he was contracted for at BOTH our rehearsal and wedding! We have the most amazing photos because of the time and dedication he took. Neither my husband or myself are very photogenic, but he made us feel very relaxed and we ended up with gorgeous one-of-a-kind photos. I would pick him for our wedding photographer again and again if I did it over. Best vendor we had!

Jeremy photographed our wedding this past May and truly exceeded every expectation. We had a VERY early start to the day, and the church where we were married had strict rules for photographers, none of that slowed him down. Jeremy still captured every single shot you could possibly want, and he did it effortlessly.

We gave him full artistic freedom, and he absolutely crushed it. During the reception which was many hours after he arrived on sight, he still captured all the best moments. He made the entire experience so fun and stress-free. By the end of the night, I told my husband that if we ever do this again, Jeremy will be our photographer, no questions asked.
