It felt as though we were hanging out with an old friend from high school, picking up right we left off and sharing an experience reserved for close family and best of friends. Jeremy is calm to be around, adapts to game time decisions or changes in initial plans, and his work speaks for itself. Super flexible and responsive -- couldn't recommend more cheers!

Incredible!
Jeremy was an incredible photographer who truly captured all of the special moments - both big and small - throughout our wedding day. Jeremy worked closely with us to understand our goals (incredible photos that embodied the true love and joy throughout the day, but not made for just IG!) and bring that vision to life. He accomplished those goals and more while being a seamless, trusted part of our day for us and our guests. We have gone back to look at our photos and relive our memories so many times - and have printed an embarrassing number of photos to decorate our home. I couldn't recommend Jeremy more!! -

Jeremy Russell's gorgeous photography is equalled only by his humanity and the sense of ease he imparts upon his clients.
Being captured before and during our wedding in as naturalistic a sense as possible was very important to my partner and I. Jeremy excels at taking photos that you don't even realize are being taken because his presence is so calming and fly-on-the-wall.
Striking a comfortable working relationship with a photographer is paramount to the photos themselves being striking, and whether ours were "posed" or candid, Jeremy set us (and our guests) at such ease that virtually every picture he took was perfect.
With wedding or event photography, most would typically say "quality over quantity" -- with Jeremy Russell, luckily, you get both; we were nearly overwhelmed with the sheer volume of photos that turned out to be stunning. Again, I attribute this to Jeremy himself -- as a couple, my partner and I err on the side of being a bit "camera shy," and Jeremy was able to bring us out of our shells and capture each moment evocatively.
His technical talent is singular (color, black-and-white, close-ups or sprawling wide shots -- he truly does it all), and beyond that, he's a great person. We couldn't have asked for more. -

Jeremy photographed our intimate wedding day and our larger BBQ celebration at Claxton Farm in Weaverville. His talent, personality, and professionalism are top tier and we recommend him for any event. He made sure to understand our concept of the days and get to know us personally in the planning phase. Coordination with Jeremy is seamless and straightforward - he was responsive and clearly cared to know more about our story. Day of, he respected our privacy- ensuring we had our special private moments, while capturing them beautifully. He was efficient, creative, and friendly with our friends and family. His edits were clean and prompt- easily viewed and downloaded on his website. We relived ALL the great memories and feelings captured! My husband and I are NOT photogenic and we usually really struggle to find photos we both like of us but Jeremy must be a wizard. His photos are so beautiful. On top of that, our wedding was right after the disastrous Hurricane Helene and he STILL was so kind and generous with his time, and traveled to Charlotte (instead of Asheville) to be our photographer. A gem of a human and a wonderful photographer. -

Jeremy is a master at his craft, capturing so much more than your standard posed wedding photos. During portraits, he knows how to encourage fun movements to capture a more natural and beautiful position, without over directing at all! And when not explicitly in a setting like portraits, it’s like he blends into the background, unobtrusive but managing to capture the many incredible moments in such a genuine way while still having a gorgeous artistic flair. His editing style is so tasteful, never over the top and fitting the individual moments so well while still maintaining an overall consistent aesthetic. More than his ability behind the camera though, was his ability to make us feel completely at ease and be such a positive person to work with! He even carried my vows for me heading to the first look- I was floundering not knowing what to do with them, and without hesitating be offered to hold them in his jacket and handed them to me when the moment came. The trust and comfort we felt with Jeremy was invaluable, and certainly made our day even more special!
We did the two photographer package (so happy we did) and must say that Julia, our second photographer for the day, was wonderful too! Jeremy assured us that our second photographer would be a professional photographer in their own right, not an assistant, and that really came through in both her day of presence and the quality of the overall photos we received. Shout out to her for saving the train of my dress a few times as we walked to various photo spots! Jeremy’s judgment is impeccable, so you can trust that if you go with the second photographer option, he will only bring someone on who is also great quality! And then you’ll benefit from his stunning edits of everything you receive.
Overall, we were so happy with Jeremy and could not recommend him enough! -

Jeremy went above and beyond staying way past the time he was contracted for at BOTH our rehearsal and wedding! We have the most amazing photos because of the time and dedication he took. Neither my husband or myself are very photogenic, but he made us feel very relaxed and we ended up with gorgeous one-of-a-kind photos. I would pick him for our wedding photographer again and again if I did it over. Best vendor we had! -

Fantastic Photographer!
Jeremy photographed our wedding this past May and truly exceeded every expectation. We had a VERY early start to the day, and the church where we were married had strict rules for photographers, none of that slowed him down. Jeremy still captured every single shot you could possibly want, and he did it effortlessly.
We gave him full artistic freedom, and he absolutely crushed it. During the reception which was many hours after he arrived on sight, he still captured all the best moments. He made the entire experience so fun and stress-free. By the end of the night, I told my husband that if we ever do this again, Jeremy will be our photographer, no questions asked. -

Amazing experience!

We started scheduling vendors for our wedding in 2023 and couldn’t have dreamed that we’d have a hurricane change many of our plans. Despite the hurricane Jeremy helped make our big day perfect. Jeremy Russell was our photographer for our May ‘24 wedding in Asheville, NC
We found him through our planner who had nothing but great things to say, when we reviewed his portfolio it was immediately clear his work aligned with our vision for our wedding photos. Quick response times, very professional, and flexible. Fairly last minute we had requested to have an additional day of photography for our welcome event. He had prior commitments that day, but quickly connected us to a colleague that he recommended who could be available. Everything you want in a vendor for a seemless day. But the photography is obviously what makes a great photographer, it’s an art really. He captured all of those magic moments between us, bride and groom, but also those sweet moments w family and friends. Making our photo album was hard bc we had so many options! 10/10 -

From our first phone call to our engagement shoot all the way to the big day, Jeremy was an absolute pleasure to work with. Most Amazing Photographer!
Jeremy did both an engagement shoot and our wedding and to say he is brilliant is not doing his work justice! My husband and I both usually feel very awkward in pictures but from the first phone call with him it felt like we were talking to a friend of ours that we'd known forever who was going to be our wedding photographer. I have never felt more beautiful than in his photos (and my husband looks pretty cute too!). I've been at other weddings where photographers have been really invasive and are kind of in the way of things... Jeremy was so stealth but always in the mix capturing every moment and the energy on the dancefloor. We could not be happier!!!!! 15/10! -

Jeremy is by far the best photographer I could have asked for. He truly captures the emotions and angles of the day… both big and small. Great photojournalist style
Jeremy was awesome to work with. From the first phone call to getting our photos back very quickly he was professional and fun to work with. I am not into very posed looking photos so we really limited those to family portraits and my husband and I. Everything else perfectly captured the moment and the feeling of our wedding. He was magically everywhere and got some really amazing candid moments. He sent us some sneak peek photos a few days after the wedding, then another small set within a week, and we had the entire album in three weeks. I highly recommend working with Jeremy. He also has a great up-to-date Instagram you can follow along with. Side bar he also has great music taste and is always posting awesome music on his story. He was one of my favorite vendors to work with. -

Working with Jeremy was the best decision I made in the entirety of my wedding planning. From the moment I first reached out to him, he was responsive and observant as I detailed my plans. I let him know that the wedding photographs were most important to me. I can remember mine and my husband's special day in my memory forever, but the photographs would be the tangible memory that I can continue to pass on.
Jeremy understood me and my vision from our first few conversations. He understood because he listened with care and attentiveness. He collaborated with me on my ideas. He knew my venue like the back of his hand, and he helped to lay out a roadmap to keep the flow of our day as blissful as possible.
We chose the Biltmore Estate, because it's a place my husband and I have made some of the best memories of our lives together. We wanted that magic to be captured in the photography. Between Jeremy's portfolio online, and our conversations discussing all of my hopes for my wedding day, I had full trust in him. And when I received my wedding album back it was better than I could have ever imagined.
I am so lucky he caught not only the small details like the looks on our family's faces during our ceremony, but also the playfulness after our reception as my husband and I raced our nieces and nephew barefoot in the gardens. We did not have a "traditional" wedding. We had a short ceremony and brunch, then we all dispersed to explore the gardens together. After we had the shots with our family, my husband and I kept going. We hit all of our favorite spots, and then some! Jeremy struck such a delicate balance between the beauty of the estate and the nature surrounding, and my family being there with us in that moment. I'm forever thankful to have found him! -

Best Elopement Photographer in Asheville!
When my husband and I decided to elope in Asheville at the Biltmore, our main priority was amazing photography to highlight our day. Jeremy went above and beyond that desire! He was so easy to work with prior to the day with scheduling and understanding what we were looking for. The day of, Jeremy has that great photographer ability to lurk when necessary, but also direct us easily and comfortably to a perfect pose. His knowledge of the Biltmore property was so helpful in getting some really cool scenes we would not have known about. And now his art from our day decorates our home beautifully! Exceptional vibes
Our wedding was on the unconventional side being a Zoom-based ceremony, only only a few guests on location at an estate in the mountains. Jeremy made the long trek to the venue and arrived full of positive energy and ready to capture the day. He's effortless to work with and has that artist's intuition - we could not be happier with the results. My wife and I still look back on those photos often, and keep our favorites on the walls. In hindsight, a successful, memorable wedding is more than just picking the right guests, the right venue, the right food, etc but also the right talent to help execute. With that in mind, I would absolutely hire Jeremy again. Great attitude and great energy (even after our floor lamps nearly set his photo bag on fire!)

Simply Stunning
I have never experiences such beautiful photography as Jeremy's! His attention to detail brought out even the smallest nuances to make the most exceptional pictures. It was very difficult deciding upon which ones to grace my home. Jeremy listened to my daughter and her fiance in regards to their theme and did everything to make it come to life in pictures. We hired Jeremy back when we had the luxury of still meeting people in person prior to making decisions. We were getting married in Asheville but coming from out of town so we made a trip out (pre-pandemic) to meet with a few people. After sitting with Jeremy for about 30 minutes, we were just laughing and having a fun conversation, I think we knew this was the choice. You spend the most amount of time with your photographer on the day of the wedding so being with someone we felt comfortable with was super important to us. As we entered the pandemic planning stage of the wedding, it was really nice to be able to call Jeremy and just talk things through and have an honest conversation about his own experiences. You only need to visit Jeremy's site or Instagram to know that he is incredibly talented and his photos are stunning. We also decided we wanted to have our ceremony at night which was kind of a lighting challenge but Jeremy was excited about it and the photos turned out amazing! We are so happy and would hire Jeremy again in a heartbeat. -

From beginning to end, my favorite vendor!
Jeremy impressed us from the very first encounter! I had reached out to him to inquire about our wedding date availability and was mulling over my decision when someone else inquired as well. Jeremy was so courteous to reach out and give us first priority since we had inquired first. I so appreciated that integrity, because for all he knew the other couple could have paid him more, etc. Between his awesome portfolio and that first correspondence, I was sold! And he did not disappoint. His communication throughout the wedding planning process was thorough and timely. He kept things detailed but succinct. Come wedding day, he showed up on time and guided the pre-wedding photo process seamlessly. I loved his approach to capturing the day: he allowed my husband and I, as well as our wedding party, to simply enjoy the day and he captured such sweet, real moments. When it was time for the staged shots, he got beautiful photos while minimizing the amount of time taking them. I so appreciated that because it didn’t feel like I was spending the day taking photos; I was able to just enjoy the day while having confidence that the moments would be captured. And they certainly were! We were so impressed by his shots, the beauty, creativity and realness of them. His personality and professionalism conveys a sense of peace as well as confidence. Absolutely, choose Jeremy!
Y'all planning a wedding is a big deal, its you and your partner's most special moment so far (maybe, maybe not) for me getting married was a huge deal and making sure I had the right photographer to capture our day was IMPERATIVE. Jeremy delivered the perfect experience for my partner and I times 1000. He answered every email and question I had so quickly, instilling so much confidence before I ever met him in person, and then on wedding day he captured my dream wedding in a way that I didn't even think could be possible. As someone who has studied a lot of photography, I am very picky when it comes to quality/lighting of professional photos. Not only did Jeremy pass all of the pre-requisite tests with an incredible gallery on his website, but after he photographed my bridal portraits I was in complete awe of his talents. He is very laid back and doesn’t make you feel awkward around the camera. He communication pre and post wedding was flawless. The most timely communicator in the professional world I have interacted with. His prices are reasonable, especially for the quality of photos, and I can honestly say after researching 30+ photographers for my wedding in the WNC area, he is the best. Don’t worry about not having “two” photographers- he perfectly captured every moment at my wedding, including ones I didn’t even remember myself.
