This was to my face ... "I know you guys are paying for your own wedding but I was wondering if I could get an invitation to your wedding..." (as there's 18 days left til the wedding, wouldn't you think that if you haven't got an invite YET, chances are you aren't getting one!!)

My mother when asking if she could walk me down the aisle with my father: "Well the rest of your wedding is non-traditional so I thought you would want to do this". Getting married on a beach by a preacher isn't THAT non-traditional, it's just informal.. UGH

"Don't you want something NICER for your WEDDING?!?!"

-Complaint from a BM who didn't like our casual idea for a reception. Then again, she really classed the place up by getting in a shouting match with her boyfriend then sobbing in a corner.

I forgot:

Friend: "Why do I have to RSVP? You KNOW we're all coming!"

Me: "No, I don't. That's because you haven't RSVP'ed!"

"I think you should invite {insert the names of about 8 people here}, they won't come but it will be a nice gesture"

From a MoH who had no idea it cost $2.07 to MAIL each of my invitations! And that everyone who we sent a STD as a "gesture" has already RSVP'd on the website!!!! Grrrrrr!!!

Church lady this past Sunday " I know I'm invited to the wedding, right?" My other in law replies with " Of course, everyone can come to the ceremony."

Then the lady goes " Not just to the ceremony, I meant to everything!"

People are just going to invite themselves, huh?

Oh, "nice gesture" invites are a terrible idea, anyway. MIL asked us to invite a bunch of her relatives as a "nice gesture." Well, they all showed up, leaving us with 15 extra mouths to feed.

"I know you aren't inviting us, but we will give you the money for the dinner and bring you a nice gift" This from my bridesmaid's CRAZY mother, who has never said a nice word to me the entire time I've known her. Wouldn't that be comfortable having her pass me cash at the wedding to pay for her dinner?

LMAO @EdubbsGirl! My dad said the exact same thing! Make that like 25 people though. If we were inviting out of gesture, we would all have 3x the guests. SMH

From my hubby's aunt...'can you give me an invitation to give to my in laws?'
From my hubby's mom...'my friend (whom we invited) would like to get an extra invite for her friend!'
From my hubby's mom...'can I get extra invite from u guys? I don't know where I left the rest.'. By the way she made mistake with the address and name and threw away a few invitations. I guess these invites are free in her mind.
