What is a good mothe daughter song?
My father was never really part of my life so instead of a father daughter dance I am doing a mother daughter dance and I am having a hard time finding a song.

I had a bride with the same predicament. She chose "You & Me Against the World" by Helen Ready. An older song but the words and meaning are beautiful. Congratulations and Good Luck!!

Are you looking for a slow song? Or one you want to go out and have more fun with?

There's always "Feel like a woman" by Shania Twain. It makes a great swing dance, and really gets the crowd going. But again it all depends on how you want to have your dance.

My mother and I had the same predicament.

My first response would be to ask if your Mother has any favorite artists and see if they have any songs that would be appropriate. If that is of no help then here are some suggestions.
Slow: Because You Love Me - Celine Dion, I Hope You Dance - Lee Anne Womack, Kind & Generous - Natalie Merchant, Parents Prayer - Steven Curtis Chapman, Somewhere Over The Rainbow - Isreal Kamakawiw`ole, Wind Beneath My Wings - Bette Midler, You Light Up My Life - Debbie Booner or LeAnn Rimes, In My Daughter's Eyes - Martina McBride, Dream A Little Dream - Mamma Cass
Upbeat: These Are The Days - 10,000 Maniacs / Natalie Merchant, I Hear A Symphony - The Supremes, Sunshine Of My Life - Stevie Wonder & the Helen Ready & Shania Twain songs from above are good ideas as well.

My last thought, Avoid websites like Wedding Music Central.

Feel free to contact me for more ideas.
