I'm DIYing our centerpieces! I'm keeping them relatively simple. I have table runners, lanterns with a candle and eucalyptus candle ring, and simple bud vases

I thought about it! But what I wanted ended up being beyond my abilities. And TBH, I didn’t want the stress of having to make them, store them, transport them to the venue, set them up, then worry about removing them at the end of the night.

Nope, I did not want to dyi my center pieces. It was too much of adding stress to wedding planning and taking the time to doing. I ended up using the venue flowers along with me buying candles to enhance the flowers on the table. Also, I used my flowers from my ceremony to help decorate the reception as well.

No, our goal was to DIY as little as possible. I didn’t want the stress, and we were throwing out leftovers from my husband’s first wedding when he was moving in with me! (Over a decade after the wedding.) Luckily, our venue offered a lot of decor rentals. The rentals and our florist did most of the work. I just bought colored runners.

I don’t know if I will, but I’m playing with the idea of going as far as growing my own cut flowers, at least to supplement what is available in my area in late October 😅 but I really am not sure that will work out. But I have me, my sister, and a couple other people who have volunteered to help with bouquets/have an eye for floral arrangement, and I like the wildflower idea so a little haphazard would be alright if it ends up being like that. Plus, every bouquet that is able to stay in water can be prepared like 3 days in advance (boutonnières are a morning-of type of thing according to my research) so that takes some pressure off the actual day.

Of course, I’m trying to stick as close to $5,000 for the entire wedding, or at least for initial deposits/retainers. I was able to get a fantastic venue for under $400, and my mom is my wedding planner (which is awesome, she has a natural affinity for planning and lists and research especially when it’s her family or something else she cares about, and she’s super driven which compliments me well [I don’t have to worry so much about if I’m paying enough attention to time, because she can’t help herself from letting me know the urgency of different things], our styles of ADHD are fairly complementary, and she loves my groom and I together! ☺️) so that cuts costs and a ton as stress and pressure as well!

It's always been my options that i do my own centerpieces however easier said than done i tried once with myself with fresh flowers at first and it is a big big waste since I'm not familiar with all the floral works. Then i tried to order one box of artificial flowers from the brand tinge time (their designer DIY flower box looks amazing) to practice what I'm capable of and is of good progress. What's good about artificial flowers is that you can use them again and again so it's a good practice if you tried to do your own centerpieces with fresh flowers.

I was thinking about a DIY centerpieces because I really am a DIY girlie but I'm afraid it will cause us more stress, I would prefer creting centerpieces to be an outsoursed mission, I'm involving my family in it too but we will prioritize the main DIY wedding projects and others will be bought/rent.

I bought some artificial DIY floral box from a brand called tinge time on amazon to practice making a bouquet. The good thing about faux flower box is that you can actually use them again and again which means you can practice a lot of times with just a budget of 20 something dollars.

Here’s what I’m making :-) if your order supplies off hobby lobby it’s relatively cheap in bulk! I’ll be adding candles and/or minimal Golden/silver Silk Flowers with a sparkle on the mirror plate.
