Honeymoon suggestions?!?!
I was originally planning on going to St. Lucia ( sandals for my October wedding) and I do know if my budget will be able to afford this trip. Where are other people going for their honeymoon in October?!? I know it is hurricane season and I do not want to get stuck in its path ( i know there are no guarantee's)- I am also looking for an all-inclusive and would prefer NOT mexico or dominican republic, We have been there before and want to try something new.... Please Help!!! Thanks!

Maui in October is fab! If you go over Halloween there is a HUGE street festival on Front street to rival Carnival in Rio!

Check out the Condos in Kahana and the area for some great ocean front Honeymoon deals.

If you want more privacy and nature try Kauai, the busy Poipu side is fun, but for romance the Hanalei bay Villas in Exclusive Princeville are amazing!

Weather is great from June to November!

Hurricane season technically runs June 1- November 30 so you do run the risk of a hurricane in the Caribbean during that time. Aruba is a great option since it is out of the hurricane zone. Usually, St Lucia and Barbados are away from the major hurricane zones but they are not immune either. I had honeymooners in St Lucia last November and they loved it so much that they want to go back this year for their 1st anniversary.

Take a look at this weather cheat sheet for some ideas of what destinations may work the best for your honeymoon.

then scroll down to the weather chart.

I help my client's honeymoon dreams become reality by listening to what they really want and giving them the best options. I offer complimentary honeymoon consulations over the phone to help you figure out what would be ideal for you. Email me at mindy@myvacationlady.com for more info.

We are going to St. Lucia in October because it's AFTER hurricane season. The actual average temp that time of year is mid 80's during the day and lower 70's at night. I think you will be safe if you still want to go there.

We're going to an all-inclusive resort at Montego Bay. It's newer and hasn't built up a strong rapport yet, so it's really inexpensive for what it offers (it's a four star hotel).
Go to expedia.com and start searching! We found SO many we had trouble narrowing it down. Total, our vaca will only cost about $2500!
