I had my wedding reception here (12/31/11), and for the price, the quality was good. If you're looking to have a larger reception at a much cheaper cost, they were very flexible. The food was good, not gourmet, though the hardest thing was playing back and forth phone tag to contact them. Also, they have posted hookah bar signs all over their historic mansion, ruining the effect and making pictures a hassle. Overall, it was still a good experience.

The initial meeting with the Holiday Inn went well; however, after a couple of months the person I was working with left the company. I received no notification of the change from the Holiday Inn until I got a call saying that none of my plans were finalized. I would have meeting scheduled and the person I was to meet with didn't show. I was still trying to confirm the plans right up to the day before, since the person we were working with kept forgetting prior conversations. At original meetings, I was promised that they only hold one wedding a day. Later on I was informed that there was another wedding, which caused them to move my booked rooms around. Imagine my surprise on the day of when there were 3 weddings. Overall, working with the Holiday Inn was very stressful and caused more aggravation then a bride needs. The only good thing I can say is that they tried to make up for short falls; however, it was too little too late.

Overall our wedding day was perfect, so I am giving this venue all 4's. However there were hiccups along the way, but they didn't seem to matter on the day of.

Our guests raved about the food. We had really enjoyed it during our tasting and were worried about having to feed 155 people a plated meal, but everyone said their food was hot and delicious (we had the chicken and beef tenderloin duet plate). The only hiccup here was the service. There was not enough wait staff to serve the food and take care of everyones water/drink requests at the same time. This was frustrating...but at least the food was awesome when everyone finally got served.

I would give one suggestion: make sure you hire a day of coordinator if you use this venue. My coordinator was able to keep the banquet manager on his toes and the catering manager on his toes. Without her, I'm sure that I would have had more stress on my day.

As far as the hotel portion of the venue goes, it was super convienent to have our out of town guests stay in the same place where the ceremony and reception took place. Some of the rooms had a/c issues but that happens. It didn't really effect anyone to much.

All in all this is a good venue and I would recommend it to others to use. The price is fair and food was delicious. What more can you ask for!

We stayed here with our guests the night after our wedding. Our guests had a great time, and had decent rooms, however when we were checking in, they said they did not have a room for us (even though we booked and payed months in advance), and stuck us in the only room they had available which was an old, dark, room at the very end of the building. They were able to give us our money back for the suite we had previously booked. We were also told that we would have a free continental breakfast the next morning, but when we arrived at the dining hall, we were handed a very expensive check. It is a beautiful building, and a great location, but double check that they have a room saved before you go to check in!

I booked the Holiday Inn at Carradoc Hall for my guests to stay while in the area for my wedding. I also arranged to have a breakfast the next morning at the hotel for all my family and out of town guests. I signed a contract in March (my wedding was in November) to secure the rooms (30 rooms total) and the banquet room for my breakfast. TWO weeks before my wedding, the hotel calls me to inform me that they are booting me and my entire hotel block from the hotel!! I was told it was because a "corporate group" was coming in the week before and they wanted to extend their stay!! So, because this corporate group was probably guaranteeing them future stays, the Holiday Inn had no problem kicking my wedding party out. They were unsympathetic and tried to put me up in the Best Western down the street (a motor lodge and nowhere near comparable hotel). They also tried to put me in Chantilly which was more than an hour away from my ceremony/reception site. I brought the matter all the way up the chain to corporate and no one seemed to really care that the hotel was not only kicking me out, but also breaching their contract! The hotel basically left it up to me to find an alternate solution and didn't care one bit. I was truly disappointed in their professionalism and customer service. I will never stay at this Holiday Inn nor would I recommend their venue to anyone. Be wary if you book their services, they have no issues screwing you over if they can find a better deal elsewhere!

This was the PERFECT location for us because we had so many out of town guests! We got a reasonable price for an open bar and NO ONE had to take any chances driving or even just getting lost. The staff is on top of the ball especially day of!

Overall, a great place to have a ceremony and reception. The setting is lovely, the rooms are very comfortable and the staff was pleasant to deal with. There were a few hiccups with the room block for our guests, and there seemed to be a bit of a communication breakdown in the catering/sales office, but generally, we were very happy with our choice.

The Air Conditioning was not working for my June wedding, but other than that, everything was great.

My wedding Reception and Ceremony was a gift of pure joy!! The staff went above and beyond to do anything and everything to cater to me and my guests. The food was amazing and the service was better then I could have ever expected! The sales and catering department took great care of me and my family and firends and I could not have asked for more. I trully had a perfect wedding for an amazing cost and absolutely everyone who attended enjoyed themselves, it was trully an affair to remember. Thank you Holiday Inn, I will receommend you to everyone for any event, but especially weddings.

Kristin with the Holiday Inn at Carradoc Hall was very helpful with making our wedding a huge success. She offered useful advise about the timing of the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. She helped with the seating to meet our table qty and placement needs. The hotel is currently under renovation and will be even more inviting upon completion.
I am still receiving rave reviews about the meals. We offered 3 plated meal options and every person was pleased with the flavor and freshness of their dinner. I would highly recommend the Holiday Inn and Kristin Schech for your special event!

Carradoc Hall hosted our wedding site and reception. They were flexible and catered to our needs. The food was delicious and we basically had the hotel to ourselves! We had friends in the ballroom as well as the bar and everyone had a wonderful time!
