Kay, from Fiber of Her Being, made me a gorgeous ceremonial wedding quilt. We asked friends and family to send a little trinket, button, piece of fabric, picture, etc., and then Kay designed a beautiful keepsake quilt out of all the items. Even though the items were all very different (soccer pictures, ornaments, paper cranes, bookmark, etc.) she was able to make them all fit together. We displayed the quilt at the wedding, and all of our guests were able to find the memorabilia that they had sent us, and also see what everyone else had sent. All of the guests loved it! I can't describe how much I love this quilt (it is really more like a piece of art), and how thankful I am to Kay for making it! She is wonderful- don't pass up a chance to work with her! I commissioned from Kay at Fiber of Her Being a quilted, customized wall hanging that incorporated wedding photos for my boss and his wife's wedding present. They are a mature couple and I knew they wouldn't need the traditional household gift. They got married in the Bajamas, and the background fabric carried that theme, along with appliqued and quilted flowers surrounding three wedding photos. I gave Kay a general idea of what I wanted and she produced a wonderful work of art. The couple adored the gift and raved to all their friends. They told me that it was their most cherished gift from anyone because it was unique and highly personal. They have hung it above their bed. The cost of the gift was reasonable. Kay recently worked with me to provide a ten-year anniversary present for my wife.
