I was surprised when I went into David's Bridal. I ended up dressing the entire wedding party from here. (Not my dress, but all the girls) They had great color options, and plenty of styles to choose from. The price was the best I found as well. Usually, the dresses came in earlier than expected, which was nice. One less thing to worry about. I had a pregnant bridesmaid, and they were very helpful in which size she would need in 6 months, etc. I dressed the guys in Men's Warehouse- which works with David's Bridal, and I could match the colors exactly with the bridesmaids and groomsmen.

We were very impressed with David's Bridal (and the Men's Wearhouse, their brother company - which did the gromm's and groomsmen's tuxedos). The dress was beautiful and they did all they could to make sure it was perfect. The only downside was a charge they mistakenly left off and tried to make us pay over a month after they'd received final payment, but in the end they corrected this and we were very happy.

I found the perfect dress at David's Bridal in Lenexa. It really fit my style and after we ordered the dress in came in even sooner than they told me. The only drawback for David's is that it is very expensive to get the bustling and hemming/alterations done there. We went elsewhere for those things in order to save money. However, I definitely recommend looking for your wedding dress at David's Bridal!

Go there knowing you might not get much service. They have a huge wedding and bridesmaid dress assortment with gowns up to large women's sizes to try on. A real plus for statuesque brides. We made an appt. that morning for the afternoon and were greeted with disorganization. The gal we were assigned to already had 3 brides she was working with so another rep sort of took us over. Then when the first gal saw that, the two had a little spat right in front of us in the bridal gown aisle. Unlucky us, the original gal "won" us.
We picked a few gowns, the sales rep took them to the dressing room and left. Fortunately there were several of us available to get different sizes, etc. Fell in love with a dress they didn't have in my size (we didn't have time to order a dress as we only had 2 months to plan the wedding). She checked with the manufacturer to see if my size might be available but said it wasn't. Disappointed, we left. Went back the next morning when a different sales person helped me and had a much better experience (Sunday morning, good time to shop). She called other stores and found one that was sent to me.
Since I wanted to alter the bodice to a "heart", they wouldn't do alterations cuz it changes the cut of the dress and they won't do that. So I hired someone else who did a terrific job!

I found my dream dress on line and in the magazine. I originally had a appt at the Barry Road location. They didn't have any dresses in my size and I was just unsatisfied when I left. I call the Lenexa location and went that day. I asked if they had this spicific dress and she said they did!!! There was a stain on it and one of the buttons were broke. I told the sales person that I wanted it cleaned and fixed, she came back shortly after that and said that my brand new dress would be in in 2 weeks!!! I loved my dress, I felt like a true princess in it.

If you expect your dress and your wedding party's dresses to be on time...think again. They will give you an 8 to 12 week leadtime, but they will not be there. It is always another 2 to 3 weeks and that is with complaining. I also purchased the cake serving set from them. They broke after cutting about 4 pieces of cake. DO NOT BUY THEM!

I had an awesome experience at David's Bridal trying on my wedding gown. The bridesmaid dresses, however, were a nightmare. The lady that helped me with my sister was totally unprofessional and made me feel awkward. Their computer system wasn't linked or something because I had two bridesmaids that bought their dresses at one location and the other two at another one. I kept getting calls about needed the other two to come in, even though they had already bought and received their dresses. Plus I think DB sold my number to third parties.

I was absolutely thrilled with the service that I received here. Everyone is very friendly and will go out of their way to make sure your dress and attire is perfect for your big day. My only complaint is that they had trouble getting the dress color right when they ordered them. So make sure when you order the bridesmaids dress that they are ordered in the right size and color.

The sales people were great and really nice and helpful. There alteration department was horrible they were really mean and rude. The didn't bussel my dress they reuined the design I had to have someone else fix it. Also one of my bridesmaids was suposed to get her dress altered and taken in and all they did was alter it so last minute she had to have someone fix it. Also they wanted the items tobe picked up right away and left at our house for months which no one would have room in there house for it. They also wouldn't let me try on jewerly with my gown on and wanted me to hurry and get out of it. They wouldn't let my friend go out in her dress into the store to find my mom and she had allreay bought the dress and paid for the alterations. I would by a dress and recomend buying one there but never getting alterations done there.

They dress was beatiful, and the cost wasnt too bad, but it too forever to get my dress and bridesmaids dresses and shoes. They were supposed to have me shoes dyed right away at least thats what they told me and they didnt follow through, so that was bad, but other than that everything else was perfect!

So David's Bridal knows you have to have a wedding dress for your wedding but why do they have to be so unprofessional about it? The only great service I got was from the sales ladies when I was shopping the dress and the person checking me out that day. The fittings, setting up times for other people to get fitted, alterations, and picking up of dresses was a pain in the behind with them. Some of the people who did the alterations/bustle didn't all speak English very well so it was almost impossible to work things out over the phone. Fitting times were messed up as they only did them on certain days of the week. Pick up times after the dresses were finished were also at odd hours and, in one case, we were actually threated to come at one time to pick up a bridesmaid dress as "no other time would work". The actual work done on the dresses was good but there was nothing more done to the dresses then shortening straps and I merely needed the buttons for the train. Honestly, I kinda wish I would have done that stuff myself of had a member of the family do it. Also, I tried on many high shoes (husband is a foot taller than me) and I can safely say that no matter how well they fit in the store, If you are not used to high heel shoes, go to a cheaper store and find a comfy brand like Footsy Tootsie or whatever. The shoes I bought from there didn't stay on my feet more than the ceremony. I ended up finding a great pair at a large shoe Warehouse for a third of the price and I wore them all day with not one issue (also had the jelly insoles that I highly recommend even though they slipped out of place often). Overall, you have to have a dress to have a wedding.. right?

Make sure to order all dresses plenty in advance. You don't want to take any risks with them not arriving before your wedding, which can happen. I, however, did get my wedding dress in advance, and it was the dress of my dreams. Great dresses for a decent price. I also got my veil and bra/corsette there (I recommend getting bra/corsettes elsewhere. I ended up buying another elegant one from Victoria's Secret for much less). Great dresses and decent prices. If you're planning last-minute dresses, you may want to look elsewhere or just have to settle for something less than you wanted.

The dresses were on time and beautiful. There are so few other places to find bridesmaid dresses for women of all different sizes. At David's at least the girls can all actually try them on, whether size 0 or size 20!

great girls working there! fast friendly service and very flexible for appointments! They are open late which works for an 8-5 working girl with a 5 month old baby!
I knew exactly what kind of dress I wanted. . .described it to them, and they picked it out on their first try. I tried on one dress. . .and knew it was the one!
