We worked with Debbie and her team from Beyond Eventful for our Wedding Weekend. From our Welcome Party at the Hotel Earl to our Sunday breakfast Brunch everything was perfect. I found Debbie to go above and beyond our expectations in every way. She was prompt and professional and always available to answer questions or guide us. Our parents loved her as much as we did and look forward to seeing her again when we are in Petoskey. Trust us when I say you can't find someone that knows or cares more for their couples than Debbie and Ford. Truly the best.

Our experience with Elsilu was exceptional. This is the third wedding I have planned. We had a COVID wedding in late August for 13 after cancelling a 200+ person wedding. Our experience with Julie. Co-Owner, was far superior to our experience with the “national” big city wedding planner we’d hired for the big wedding (we come from a large city as well). My goal was to create a “jewel box” wedding as a miniature of the original big wedding and Julie oversaw every detail. DO NOT let the fact that she operates out of a small town influence your decision to hire her because she has close, long-term vendor relationships with large and small vendors across the state of MIchigan and Chicago. They obviously love working with her and performed beautifully. We were a priority with the vendors even though it was a micro-wedding which is a testament to her vendor relationships. She has handled huge weddings in the past (500 plus) and is a powerhouse planner. Some the things we loved about Julie: 1) Exquisite taste in design from the tabletop and florals to the overall look of the day/weekend; She listened very carefully to my daughter’s vision and it was beautifully executed. 2) Her fixed price approach and transparency in costs was so refreshing; she was incredibly generous with her time and extras; she went above and beyond; 3) She was on-site for 12 hours the day of the wedding and made sure every single detail was perfect. She even brought her steam iron and steamed out my daughter’s wedding dress and veil. She can tackle any mishap. 4) She was accessible without fail during the planning process and always responded immediately unless it was during a wedding; 5) fabulous staff support with people she’s known a long time. Most importantly, we fell in love with her personality, energy and kindness. There is not one thing I would have done differently and it was truly a perfect event. She could be running a big company but her love is making even a small event truly spectacular.

I am someone who is super controlling and likes everything to be my way. It dawned on me halfway through wedding planning that I would not be able to make sure everything was perfect for the day I. I stumbled upon Maggie and my only regret is not booking her sooner. Maggie made every inch of my day beautiful from fixing the ruined wedding cake, with coming up with alternative plans for the rained out ceremony. She was very organized and detailed oriented. Maggie was truly a dream to work with and I would recommend her time and time again.

After her walking me through what she would help with I realized I didn’t think about MY time with my husband, family and friends at my wedding. Idk what I was thinking like I would still host and get married and answer all vendor questions etc. Anyways, I was still able to be a diy girly and have Chelsey help me with just day of coordinating. She’s busy and I’m sure juggling a ton of brides, but nothing beats my mom looking at me on my wedding day saying “wow I’ve never been able to dance at my daughters’ weddings before because I’m always working!”….honestly that was it for me. I knew that was the best vendor at my wedding. Someone who allowed me and my family to enjoy a day without working. We work so much that it wouldn’t have been a special day had I not hired Chelsey.
