Wedding DJs in Grand Rapids

DJ Parker truly made our day perfect. He traveled to Northern Ontario to DJ our NYE wedding and made the day and party 10/10. His ability to read a room and take a dance floor from 0-100 is worth more than words can say. We know he was the special ingredient in making our day super memorable for us and all our guests, and we couldn’t thank him more.

We really enjoyed working with Larry! He was thorough and called ahead of time to go through everything and make sure we were on the same page. He was super flexible the day of as we ended up having to change the order of some things. Our guests loved his music choice and he kept them dancing all night long! I think if you love a more high energy and lighthearted DJ but still want someone experienced and thorough this is your man! He was definitely super fun to work with and have at the wedding. I will say though that we had a smaller venue and his set up was maybe more suited to a little larger of a venue as the dance floor was particularly loud, but he was able to adjust the music accordingly. It just might be worth noting if you have a smaller venue it might be worth it to do a sound check beforehand? Also, we requested that the lighting be steady and not flashy due to some health issues and Larry needed to be reminded during the reception. Which is fair, but I did have to miss a couple hours of the reception due to it so if you have any special requests just make sure to either run through it again day of or have someone else do it. But all in all we would definitely recommend Larry!

NewSwivel (Bill) showed up and was ready to throw an amazing dance party. I prepared him with some helpful information, and he was able to take my direction and make it come to life. The ceremony was well supported from a sound perspective, and the dance floor was the best space for all of our loved ones to connect and have a good time. There was never a dull moment on the dance floor. Bill took our feedback and was responsive to anything we may have needed. The highlight of the night were the rainbow up-lights that were the perfect backdrop for the evening. Appreciate Bill and his love for music - thanks for being there for us and throwing a damned good party! Thank you, thank you, thank you

From the moment I first spoke to Steve, I knew I had found the right DJ for us. I was a covid bride and had to reschedule our wedding and Steve was wonderful through the whole process. Every time I sent an email to him or gave him a call, he made me feel like I was his most important client each and every time. He truly listens to his customers and takes their concerns and requests seriously. Steve also has a planner that he asks couples to fill out and it’s so thorough and helpful, it was wonderful and made planning so much easier! He is organized, punctual, and truly is just a wonderful person. By the time my wedding rolled around, I felt like he was an old friend, and I will always be grateful for his help and kindness during such a stressful time. I gave Steve a ‘do not play’ list and a ‘please play’ list, and he followed those perfectly and even was happy to let me make mix tape for our dinner music, which brought me so much joy on our wedding day! Steve was also very dedicated to pronouncing everyone’s name correctly in my wedding party, and some of them were not easy, but Steve got each and every one correct! There were a few last-minute changes to things and Steve rolled with them and took the stress out of the situation every time I had to bring a change up to him, again, we were so grateful. For example, my venue forgot to put out table numbers for him to dismiss tables for dinner, I felt awful and scrabbled to tell him and apologize for their oversight, Steve just smiled and said he was already handling it and would be dismissing tables by physically walking up to our guests and letting them know it was their turn. That kind of service and adaptability is unfortunately rare, and out of all of my vendors, Steve was the one that I just knew I could count on, and that is priceless on your wedding day. He kept people on the dance floor and even after our wedding, we heard from multiple people how great our music was! We also hired Steve for our photo booth, and we were not disappointed! The booth was awesome and spacious to fit in multiple people and there were so many wonderful props it was hard to choose! The book we received afterwards is something we will always cherish! I cannot recommend Music Unlimited, and all their services, highly enough. You will not regret hiring this company, they are so dedicated to making your vision for your wedding day a reality!

We cannot say enough good things about our DJ! From the very first meeting, he put us completely at ease—so professional, so prepared, and just genuinely kind. Every single conversation with him made us feel more confident that we were in great hands. On the big day, he absolutely crushed it. The equipment was top-notch—everything sounded amazing, from the ceremony to the very last song of the night. He kept the energy flowing nonstop, reading the room perfectly and making sure everyone was having the time of their lives.

Matt was very knowledgeable and helpful from the time we booked him to the date of our wedding! He met with us over zoom twice before our wedding to go over all the details and answer any questions we had. Our guests thought he was very entertaining and we really enjoyed his package that included bridal party introductions and a summary of our love story!

Absolutely perfect timing on all of my personal playlist, it could not have gone any better!!!

AJ at 1Wave DJs offered straightforward planning (no stress for us), with clear communication of expectations and cost. He supported our audio for the ceremony (outdoors) and the reception. The dance floor was packed all night. Would recommend

Trent did a great job at my wife and I’s wedding. He kept the dancing fun and engaging. We never had a quiet, or dull moment. It was also nice that he had two set ups for the ceremony and rehearsal. This kept the music playing/flowing. He is also very personable and a great guy in general. I would highly recommend him if you are looking for a fun and awesome DJ!
