Just me
The best "review" I receive is at the end of a wedding reception. If the couple comes over and thanks me for making their day perfect, I know I did my job. And if the bride asks if she can give me a hug, I know I really hit it out of the park (I get lots of those). Another indicator is when guests tell me, "this is the best wedding reception I've ever been to," and "I wish you had been the DJ at MY wedding."
I fully recognize that a couple's Wedding Day is the biggest day of their lives, and have a passion for making it the best that it can be. I achieve this in part by arriving on time, being fully prepared, and never being satisfied with "good enough."
I am a firm believer that little things are big things in disguise, and nowhere is this more true than during a wedding. The measure of a DJ/emcee is how well these little details are handled. So I place a high priority on getting things right, whether big or little. It's what my wife and I wanted on our Wedding Day.
More than any other wedding vendor, your choice of DJ will determine whether your party is a blast or one that's soon forgotten. The most important quality to look for in a mobile DJ is experience. It shows that they're serious about what they do, trustworthy, and good enough to earn referrals. I was a radio personality for 17 years, including a stint hosting morning drive. Later I began mobile DJ'ing on the side, and am still going strong.
Some DJs try to be the "star of the show." Others can be not much more than human jukeboxes. I feel I am right in the sweet spot in the middle of that range, always remembering that the bride and groom are the stars of the show.
In addition to weddings, I frequently DJ at school parties and have earned the trust of several school administrators who hire me year after year.
I sometimes have the opportunity to see other DJs perform, and one thing that always strikes me is how disappointing their systems sound. Conversely, I have two Mackie Thump speakers with 15" woofers and two Mackie Thump 18" subs. Together, they really rock the house and get folks out to the dance floor -- yet I never get complaints that it’s too loud.
Having DJ'd around 500 wedding receptions and other parties, I've learned a great deal about how to make a wedding reception flow nicely and some ways to "color outside the box." I would be happy to talk with you about ways we can make your party as fun and memorable as possible. I'll want to hear your ideas and share a few of my own for you to consider.

Reviews of Perfect Reception Mobile DJ Service
Review summary
Larry is highly praised by multiple reviewers as a fantastic DJ for weddings. He is commended for his thoroughness, communication, professionalism, and flexibility. Despite a slight issue with sound levels in a smaller venue and a lighting request needing a reminder during the reception, Larry's ability to keep the dance floor lively and guests entertained all night is widely appreciated. His experience and expertise in coordinating music and maintaining a smooth timeline make him a recommended choice for couples seeking an experienced and fun DJ for their special day.
