Amazing dj

Larry was so fun and made sure everything went exactly how we wanted! He added so much life to the party and was by far the best DJ I’ve ever seen at a reception!

Wedding DJ

Larry was a class act from beginning to end. He made sure that we met to discuss wedding details months in advance. He was also consistently quick to respond to emails and questions via text. He is kind and accommodating. He allowed us to completely customize our reception playlist, and he was very respectful of our wishes to have clean versions of the songs. He has the best announcer voice for wedding party intros. He keeps a timeline exceptionally well. We have had so many people comment on how full our dance floor was for HOURS at a time. He's the best!

Wedding at The Cheney Place

From the time I first talked with Larry I could tell that he was experienced and knew a lot about what he was doing.
Larry was exceptionally good with communication, timeliness, and professionalism. He also was excellent with his execution of being a DJ.
We had everything synced up and on time, we played all the songs we wanted and the ones he picked were exactly what our guests needed.
Larry spoke well on the microphone and kept everything on time and moving forward.
I highly recommend Larry as a DJ and a default party facilitator!

Best Night Ever!

Benjamin and I have such deep gratitude for Larry and his DJ services. We had an absolutely unforgettable night of joy and dancing at our wedding reception. Best decision we made!

I can’t say enough good things about Larry, the remarkable DJ for my daughter’s wedding! He really got to know the bride and groom and was able to capture their personalities and bring their vision to life. He has an awesome voice that held the guests’ attention and was able to turn a day-time Sunday wedding into an amazingly fun and meaningful event for everyone. Great, flexible wedding DJ

Larry was great! He was flexible through the planning process, working with us as we shifted our wedding dates due to COVID. At the wedding itself, he did a fantastic job, providing a great mix of DJ-selected and audience requests for music, and provided announcements for the guests as last minute changes happened to ensure a smooth experience for everybody. Could not recommend him enough.

Larry was a great DJ!

We are glad we selected Larry as our DJ. Our wedding was outdoors, dinner/speeches indoors, and dancing back outdoors. Larry accommodated this and moved his equipment back and forth for each part of the day. He helped us a ton during the planning period and suggested some really cool ideas that we incorporated into the day. We would 100% recommend Larry!!

Fantastic!!!

I would highly recommend Perfect Reception Mobile DJ Service. Despite having to put off our wedding a couple times he was very professional, helped guided our evening, and played all of the requests and music we had asked for. He was very good with communication and easy to work with.

Awesome DJ!

I would highly recommend Larry for any wedding or event. He was so easy to work with and came with some great ideas. He coordinated a special part of our wedding with my now husband that turned out perfect! Everyone said the music was great and dancing lasted all night. You can’t go wrong with Perfect Reception Mobile DJ!

Homecoming Dance

Hire him!

We hired Larry for our Wedding ceremony/reception and Larry was amazing! He was personable, punctual, professional, flexible, fun, and kept our guests involved and entertained! It was all beautifully done!! This was definitely not his first rodeo, and it shows by the way he knew how to plan the reception flow, and the many great suggestions he had for us. Along with his suggestions, he also gave us the flexibility to choose what we wanted helped us feel confident in what we had chosen/planned. Our ceremony sound/songs were run so smoothly and at the reception, Larry did well to keep the guests involved through games/other interactions. Along with all of this, he was super affordable! We loved working with Larry and we 100% recommend him for any of your DJ needs!

Perfect Reception was a phenomenal service. It was easy to contact him and the always helpful suggestions Perfect Reception made were greatly appreciated. Perfect Reception even noticed the small details that went right over my head. The games suggested were classics and a lot of fun and our guests LOVED the play list he had. The option to avoid certain songs/genres was greatly appreciated and the website they have prepared makes it very easy to communicate all your preferences for the reception. I have no doubt in my mind Perfect Reception has the best DJ in Michigan.

Must have DJ!

Larry is by far the best DJ you could ask for. He goes above and beyond what is required. He is not only a DJ, but he knows how to keep the guests’ attention and entertain the crowd. Larry will go out of his way to work around your schedule and he is very professional. The price he charges is very reasonable and worth his talent. He has had tons of experience and many ideas on how to personalize your event. If you’re looking for a DJ, look no more, Larry is the one for you!

I initially met Larry when he was DJing one of my class reunions. I was impressed then and even more wowed the second time around as the DJ at my daughter’s wedding. So professional and a pleasure to work with. Communication is great both in person and through the personalized website created for our wedding reception. Larry had a lot of fun ideas for a different twist on our wedding reception to make it engaging for guests. The dance floor was full and people had a great time. We had so many guests tell us what a fun evening that had. Great song selection throughout the evening from dinner music to dance music.

Larry was absolutely incredible! Not only was the music wonderful, but he kept everyone engaged and having fun. The games (shoe game, garter toss, etc.) were a big hit and he did an incredible job executing them with great commentary :) He is extremely accomodating and professional. Larry know how to read a crowd. When people do not respond to a song he slides into another song that will get the them moving.

Larry Bush did an amazing job for our wedding! Our day was pretty amazing and I think that his experience was truly the icing on the cake! Larry was an awesome DJ at our wedding! He did a great job at playing our "do not play" list and kept the music flowing so well that the dancing never stopped! The "shoe game" was hilarious for everyone including my wife and I and was a blast to do. He did a great slow to fast dancing ratio as it was never too boring or too fast for everyone.
Larry was also very fast at responding to me and was very quick to free up his schedule to meet up with my wife and I prior to signing the contract. Multiple comments after the wedding saying how awesome he was. His sound system was plenty loud and clear and I heard that he just recently upgraded this already awesome system to a new one! Would recommend him to anyone and everyone!

Larry was hands down the best dj ever. He was very helpful in planning for our wedding reception, offering great ideas and suggestions that made our reception the best party ever! Larry made sure that our reception fit our personalities and he kept people dancing all night.

Larry was open and flexible to our needs. He did exactly what we asked of him, and played exactly the music we wanted. Our guests danced all night and had a blast. His price was very fair based on our comparison shopping to other DJ's in our area. We would highly recommend him to anybody looking for a DJ.

I know that this note is being sent to you 4 months too late, but I wanted to let you know a million times over what an incredible job you did at our wedding back in May. David and I could not have asked for a better DJ to rock the party that night and you kept everyone smiling, laughing, and above all DANCING all night long. Every song that you played was a hit, you made good to your promise not to play any "no play" songs on our list, and you made everyone feel comfortable and at ease. I think that the "Question Game" was a huge hit and with your music interludes and fun ways, you made it even more spectacular than we could have ever imagined. Our wedding was amazing, fun, beautiful, a little windy and cold, but nothing short of perfect. Thank you for making it the best night of our lives (so far)! We feel truly honored and blessed to have used you for our special day and would recommend you to anyone looking for a fun, easy to work with, hilarious, kind and excellent DJ :)

Larry is an excellent DJ, and offers enough flexibility to fit any style of reception. In fact, my family likes him so much that my sister and my best friend have also had him as their DJ for their wedding receptions! He really has a lot of great ideas and knows how to keep everyone actively interested and involved in the reception. He has a really wide selection of music, and catered really well to the style of music that my husband and I like. Thanks so much, Larry!! I am sure my family will keep recommending you to other people who are looking for a DJ! :)

Larry Bush is a great DJ, and really helped to make the reception a lot of fun. He had some great ideas about how to make the party even more fun. His selection of music was perfect, and being a radio guy, he has the perfect DJ voice. On top of it all, he's also a good friend of mine. His price is very competative, and he did a great job. Experienced and Fun!

Larry and Perfect Mobile DJ receptions was a blessing. He stuck by our side through the pandemic, and really listened to what we were looking for out of the day and was very flexible. He did ask us to trust him in a few regards and I am very glad we were comfortable enough with him to take his lead.

Thanks for a great night Larry! Wouldn't trade that night for the world!

This wedding was a good example of how I go the extra mile. During cocktails and dinner, there were guests both in the barn and on the deck under the tent. I placed a speaker in both locations so everyone could hear the introductions, toasts, etc. The photographer told me he was at the same venue recently when the DJ didn't go to that trouble, and many of the guests were disappointed that they couldn't hear. I had to crawl on my hands and knees to place the tripod and speaker behind the dessert table, but the end result was definitely worth it.

Regarding the 4 rating on responsiveness, my 89-year-old father became seriously ill in late July and passed August 13. I tried hard but sincerely apologize if I was a little slow in responding to messages as a result.

Super fun DJ

We had a great party with Larry as the DJ of my daughter’s wedding. He made it into a fun “name that tune” game to see who got to go first to get food.
My daughter and son in law gave him their playlist and he executed it perfectly making the whole evening fun and enjoyable. Everyone enjoyed themselves and had a great time.
Definitely would use him again!

So much fun!

We really enjoyed working with Larry! He was thorough and called ahead of time to go through everything and make sure we were on the same page. He was super flexible the day of as we ended up having to change the order of some things. Our guests loved his music choice and he kept them dancing all night long! I think if you love a more high energy and lighthearted DJ but still want someone experienced and thorough this is your man! He was definitely super fun to work with and have at the wedding.

I will say though that we had a smaller venue and his set up was maybe more suited to a little larger of a venue as the dance floor was particularly loud, but he was able to adjust the music accordingly. It just might be worth noting if you have a smaller venue it might be worth it to do a sound check beforehand? Also, we requested that the lighting be steady and not flashy due to some health issues and Larry needed to be reminded during the reception. Which is fair, but I did have to miss a couple hours of the reception due to it so if you have any special requests just make sure to either run through it again day of or have someone else do it. But all in all we would definitely recommend Larry!

The most fun I've had at a wedding!!

Wow! Just wow! Larry did an amazing job for our wedding. We got so many compliments on the music and I danced 99% of the night.

There was one song that I believe a guest requested that no one else knew. Everyone left the dance floor so Larry transitioned to a new song so smoothly that it didnt feel awkward or weird.

If you want to barely leave the dance floor at your wedding I definitely recommend Larry :)

Larry is a great DJ to use. My sisters both used him for their weddings as well! We couldn't have been happier. The one thing that we were a bit disappointed with was that we had a list of songs we wanted played from the 80's & 90's and those didn't really get played. However, that was a minor detail. Larry has experience and makes it fun! He had us play games that we've never see at other weddings before and we had a lot of wonderful feedback from our guests. Thank you Larry for what you do and making it an unforgettable evening!
