1Wave DJs is a professional wedding DJ service in Traverse City, Michigan. Owner AJ Smith has an impressive background in the music industry, having worked as a stagehand for icons such as Lady Gaga and Bon Jovi. His career progressed to working on stage for Diana Ross and Jethro Tull at the Interlochen Center for the Arts. He has performed in over 7 rock projects, produces his own music and has handled many events. DJ Guro Cathy has been with 1Wave DJs for almost 3 years now and is performing at weddings and venues like Stix Resort, Turtle Creek Casino, and other events in Northern Michigan. Combined they do between 80-100 events per year. Traveling across the USA, we check out nightclubs and venues to learn more about what it takes to keep you and your guests happy on the dance floor.
Services Offered
1Wave DJs' services include musical coverage of your entire wedding day, from the ceremony and cocktail hour right through to your reception. AJ and Cathy will work on creating a bespoke experience for your celebration. They curate personalized playlists according to each couple's musical tastes and preferences. Their DJ packages also include MC services, equipment setup, and beautiful lighting to illuminate your venue. Additional uplighting and video equipment services are available on request.
